The Roommate Problem Mariah Ankenman

Description:

To Moira “Mo” Rossi, the world is full of sunshine, goodness, and happily ever afters—so of course she figures finding the perfect roomie will be easy. But after four creepos who ask if benefits come with the room and one woman who claims she’s a vampire, Mo is officially desperate. So what if the guy she agrees to on paper ends up being the Derrick Downer to her Sally Sunshine in person? She’s the queen of making lemonade.

August Porter expected his new roommate Mo to be like him—neat, practical, and oh yeah: male. Not the outrageous hippie with more stars in her eyes than there are in the sky. She’s infuriating, exasperating, his exact opposite in every possible way…and the bright ray of sunshine he didn’t even realize his gray world was missing. Suddenly, falling into bed with his roommate isn’t the worst idea he’s ever heard. Just falling in love with her is.

But one of them is keeping a secret that could turn their opposite attraction into utter disaster.

My thoughts on the book:

This book should have been named pineapple pizza and protein shakes!!! If you want to know why read the book you will quickly understand . At first I liked August but he quickly got on my nerves he came across whiny and I was so over him and felt that Mo could do better. Mo is hands down someone who was easy to love social butterfly comes to mind immediately and she’s just a bright spot in everyone’s life who she encounters. She was so fun to read about I swear I could see her as a friend if she wasn’t fictional, she totally made this book. This book does have curse words and adult situations so may not be suitable for all readers. Over all fun read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

Piecing It All Together Leslie Gould

Description:

When Savannah Mast’s fiance dumps her a week before their wedding, she flees California for the safety of her Amish grandmother’s farm near Nappanee, Indiana. She’s not planning on staying long but becomes unexpectedly entangled in the search for a missing Amish girl. She can’t leave–especially not when her childhood friend Tommy Miller is implicated as a suspect.

When Savannah accompanies her grandmother to Plain Patterns, a nearby quilt shop, the owner and local historian, Jane Berger, relates a tale about another woman’s disappearance back in the 1800s that has curious echoes to today.

Inspired by the story, Savannah does all she can to find the Amish girl and clear Tommy’s name. But when her former fiance shows up, begging her to return to California and marry him after all, she must choose between accepting the security of what he has to offer or continuing the complicated legacy of her family’s faith.

My thoughts on the book:

What a powerful read, or should I say two stories. This book does have a story about Savannah and Jude and the a story about Emma and Judah, Emma’s story is from the 1800’s and it totally connected to Savannah so give it a chance. I will be honest I wasn’t sure what to think at first but the read was totally worth it. I really liked Savannah and Emma they were both very strong women just looking to where they belonged. This story is about family, forgiveness, and finding where you belong. This was a book I could not put down and was such a refreshing story. This is a good clean read and so well worth it I can’t wait to see what happens next in the small town of Nappanee. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

Description:A bride on the run

And a cowboy to show her the way home…

Lily Harrison’s wedding day isn’t quite what she imagined. Not only does her fiancé not love her, she’s just discovered she’s a Blackwell—a member of Montana’s well-known ranching family. Now Lily’s ditched her own wedding for a road trip with handsome cowboy Conner Hannah. But will Lily find her answers in Montana…or lose the cowboy she’s already begun falling for?

USA TODAY Bestselling Author

My thoughts on the book:

Y’all the Blackwell’s are back, and they have sisters!!! I am so excited about this series and this is book one and the author did not disappoint at all. I am really liked Lily she struggles with a slight disability but she did not let it stop her and she seems like she was only able to take so much from the men in her life. She seemed like the hero to me in the story. I liked Connor as well but in some moments I did find him whinny, but he has a big heart and will do anything for those he loves and cares about. Now Danny I wanted to punch him not a fan of him at all. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for more from these sisters and Rudy and Big E, I have no clue what those two are up to but it can only get more interesting. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

A Cowboy for Keeps Laura Drake

Description:From a “fabulous new voice in romantic fiction” (NYT bestselling author Lael Miller): an arrogant cowboy meets a headstrong woman determined to take custody of his niece, only to realize that she may be the family he was always searching for.
There’s not much that could rattle a cowboy like Reese St. James. But when his twin brother dies in a car accident, Reese is stunned to discover he has a six-month old niece, Sawyer. Wanting to make up for lost time, Reese heads down to Unforgiven, New Mexico, to bring her home. He doesn’t plan on Sawyer’s guardian giving him any trouble, but the intriguing, independent woman is turning out to be more than he bargained for.
Lorelei West had given up hope of having a family of her own until her sister’s tragic death brought little Sawyer into her life. And now there’s no way she’s going to let Reese take her away. Lorelei knows hotshot, good-looking cowboys like him — she’s dated enough of them — and she intends to stand her ground. Yet the more time Reese and Lorelei spend together, the harder it is to deny the attraction building between them. But opening their hearts to a baby is one thing — can they also open their hearts to the possibility of a happily-ever-after?

My thoughts on the book:

Let me start off that in the end this book really turned out way better then I expected and I end up liking it in the end for sure. Now that being said this book is told in a first person point of view. The author did include both characters so that was a plus that most authors who write FPV don’t do. I however felt that in the beginning of the book both Reese and Lorelei came off as very whinny which at first came as a turn off, but hang in there it gets better. The storyline was really good and I did feel it go to the heart for sure. There is adult situations in this book so it may not be suitable for all. I did read the first books two of this series so it was nice catching up with Austin, Carly, Nevada and Fish, I still have to say Nevada is one of my favorite characters thus far in this series but in this book Carly took a very close second, they both are friends every girl needs in there life someone who will always have your back no matter what. Yall over all I would totally re-read this book it was worth it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

He can’t imagine spending another season without Emma by his side. Can he convince her to give their love a second chance before the summer draws to a close?

Includes the bonus novella A Fairytale Bride!

My thoughts on the book:

I really enjoy this author so I was excited to get this book and sit down and read it.  I really feel like this book was about healing and forgiveness and finding your true self. I really liked Emma she wanted to have it all together but she still wanted to please people as well so she really was looking to find herself. She really had her heart broken in the past and turning 30 has her really thinking and making hard decisions. Jack was easy to fall in love with. I liked how the author didn’t try and make the characters perfect. I liked reading again about Dawanda and her cappuccino readings you truly never know what’s going to come out of her mouth next. There were so many fun sub characters that I want to know more about and read their stories. I love how the story draws you in and keeps you going to the end. There is adult talk but over all this book was totally worth the read and you can’t go wrong.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

The Goodbye Guy Natasha Moore

Description:

Rachel Bradford is finally living her dream as the star of her own interior design show. But ratings are slipping, and if she wants to save the show, she has to set an episode in the hometown she fled. Worst of all, she’s going to have to work with the cocky bad boy who humiliated her.

Single dad, Beckett Colburn plans to turn an old fire station into a neighborhood bar. He’s blindsided when he discovers his family made a deal to turn his dream into a reality TV project. He’d rather run into a burning building than work with his childhood nemesis–on camera.

But it’s not easy with a TV crew in town stirring up trouble, spreading rumors, creating buzz. Not to mention the inconvenient sudden attraction that sparks every time Rachel and Beckett fight.

My thoughts on the book:

I have never read anything by this author, so this is a new series for me. I don’t know what I missed but the others where brought up in this book. I can honestly say I was not really a huge fan of this book it just wasn’t for me. I found the book completely predictable not a whole lot of what’s going to happen next. I like Holly she was a spit fire and did add a whole other element to the story, she was one of my favorite characters in the book. I also liked Davis he seem to be one of the few in the story that had his head on his shoulders and was a good friend to Beckett. I did not like Beckett I found him for a 40 year old very immature and whiny, I guess for me I felt like if you have a child at some point you should have grown up. Rachel was ok she too seem to have problems with her past but she didn’t come off as immature. Overall I really wasn’t a fan of this book. There is adult language and content may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

How Sweet It Is Robin Lee Hatcher

Description:

He lost his brother. She lost her dream. Together, they might find what they’re really looking for.

Holly Stanford is doing the best she can with the restaurant she inherited from her late uncle. But after her fiancé abandons her and the business, Holly regrets having given up her dream of becoming a pastry chef. Now a few bad financial decisions might cost her everything, including her hope for the future.

Jed Henning has done well with his new company despite his prodigal brother’s behavior. When Jed‘s father, the controlling member of the board of directors, temporarily suspends operations until his sons work out their differences, Jed resentfully chases his brother, Chris, to Boise. There Jed rents a basement apartment from Holly and hopes to convince Chris to get his act together before their company collapses.

Unaware that Holly is the one person who can help him get through to Chris, Jed starts the tough work of reconciliation armed with little more than a few family photographs, a stack of old letters, and a Bible that belonged to his great-grandfather, Andrew Henning. And as romance blossoms between Holly and Jed, the story of Jed’s great-grandfather highlights the power of God across the generations and the legacy of a family’s courageous faith.

My thoughts on the book:

I have always really enjoyed reading this authors book, however I have not read anything in this series and when I started the book it wasn’t what I expected at first. It got good thou really good right away. I really thought oh great a story about a rich kid but that was so far from that. This story is about family, faith, forgiveness and finding yourself. I loved Holly, and Willow they have this strong independent to them and they fight for themselves and those they love. I really like Jed and how his journey to make things right with his brother also was a whole different journey all on its own. I loved the story of Andrew and Helen. This book will make you laugh and cry, I liked that this was a good clean read and I like that the how the story draws you in and keeps you going till the end not wanting to put it down. I would totally recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

Award-winning author Patricia Bradley introduces you to a new series set in the sultry South that will have you wiping your brow and looking over your shoulder.

My thoughts on the book:

This is a new author for me and this book was pretty good. I felt like in the beginning the author had almost too much going on. I felt like it was hard to figure out what was what but as the story progressed it did become easier to figure out who was who and what was happening. I liked that the book was suspense but I also felt like because there where so many players it made it really easy to figure out what and who did it, I really wish the author would have left a little mystery for the reader. That being said I really liked Luke and Brooke. Brooke has a heart of gold and would doing anything for anyone and would help them regardless she was a fighter and super stubborn and independent which made her good at her job. Luke a man of many mysteries he also has a good side to him while trying to do that right thing in the world. I did like out the author kept the book a clean read and she did discuss some very tough subject but did it in away to bring awareness. This book was a good read overall  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

My thoughts on the book:

This story was cute and does get to the heart of the matter for sure. I deals with loss and finding yourself. With both Lucas and Esther each dealing with where they belong.  I did find Esther a little whinny and I felt like Lucas had a big heart and he seemed to really want what was best for his people. I did feel like in some parts the book dragged a little. I did enjoy that the author kept the book  a good clean read and is suitable for all. I enjoyed both Esther and Lucas Mom’s they truly just shined in this book. If you are looking for a clean read with some fun characters check this book out. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. A Royal Second Chance Summer Viv Royce

Description:

Prince Nicolas is looking for a priceless royal heirloom. Trying to stay under the radar, he keeps that he’s a prince secret—especially from the cute antiques dealer he asks to help him. The longer it takes, the more time they get to spend together, though no matter how attracted he is to Lizzie, love is certainly not an option for the heir to the crown of Belfort.

Lizzie Cates fled her family’s new-found fame and fortune because life in the spotlight wasn’t for her. She loves her small town, where the most exciting thing on the schedule is the car parade for the Fourth of July. That’s just how she likes it, until Nicolas comes along. Lizzie finds herself falling for the caring man who craves the country and small-town life as much as she does.

Except Nicolas has a secret that will shatter both their dreams…

My thoughts on the book:

So I have never read anything by this author or in this series and if the other books in the series are half as good as this one then I can’t wait to read them. I could not put this book down the author has a way of drawing you and where you loose all sense of time and you need to know what’s going to happen. I was a fan of Nicolas for most of the book but there was on part where I literally wanted to just reach into the book and punch him…. UGH!! Hands down one of my favorite characters in the book was Ms. Thornton, her story was so powerful and just seem to leave its mark on your heart for sure. I understand why the author wrote her, but to me it just seemed like so much more. This book was a good clean read and was a quick read. I so want more. So worth grabbing it you won’t be disappointed. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
