Honor Bound Hallee Bridgeman

Description:

It may seem odd to seek peace by moving to a war-torn African country, but for medical missionary Dr. Cynthia Myers, it provided a way to escape a shallow life of unearned wealth, a philandering fiancé, and a father now square in the public eye as vice president of the United States. At least here she knows her work and life have meaning. But all that is thrown into chaos when she fails to save the life of a local warlord’s mortally wounded son.

As part of the Army Special Forces “A-Team” on a mission to capture and subdue the warlord, Captain Rick Norton is compelled to use deadly force to save Cynthia’s life. Enraged at the violence she witnessed and riddled with guilt that men died because of her, Cynthia tries to hold on to her anger–but an unwanted attraction is taking hold.

With two members of his team badly injured and rebels in hot pursuit, Rick will have to draw upon all his strength and cunning to get her out alive . . . because he’s beginning to think they just might overcome their differences and be able to make a life together.

My Review:

This is a new to me author and I was not disappointed. This book will have you on the edge of your seat one minute to watching the characters try and find healing. The first half of this book will have you on the edge of your seat why the second portion of the book slows things down a little and has you on another journey with the characters. I want so much more of Ozzy’s story I feel like that story is going to be gut wrenching. I liked Rick a lot he was a strong character with determination for his friends and his country. He did not have a hero complex but stayed humble while doing what he loved. I liked Cynthia, in the beginning she felt like she needed to grow up a little bit but she too had a heart for those less fortunate and worked hard to become a better person while making the world a better place. Over all the author kept this book a clean read and it was well worth it. Can’t wait to read more about these characters.

Susan May Warren brings her Sky King Ranch series to a climactic close with this high-stakes race against the clock.

My Review:

This author never disappoints. This book was once again that I found hard to put down. I really liked how the author made the characters feel real. I loved Tae she really struggled with decisions that she made in her life and she also struggled with her faith after a tragic loss, but she was a fighter and would not stop at anything to fight to change the world and make it a better place. Colt is a fighter and he wants the best but he is struggling with his own demons and just can’t seem to get out of his head and into his heart. The story line was well played out and will keep you guessing to the end on what’s going to happen next. Overall I loved the main and sub characters and I loved the core value of the story. The author did keep this a clean read and it was well worth it.

My Review:

I will say this as if you’re a friend and I’m telling you my thoughts. I really enjoyed this book and this author. I feel like every time I read anything from her she has a way of putting you right there in the middle and watching it all play out in front of you. There was So much pain between Echo and Dodge as well as pain in their personal lives they needed to work through. But sometimes working towards a common goal that seems to throw you together may help you see things differently. The author truly had me staying up late just to finish this book and see where she took me on the journey next. Overall this book is so worth the read and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for more of these characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Book 2: Cold Case Double Cross
Book 3: Yuletide Cold Case Cover-Up

My Review:

As always this author did not disappoint with this book. This is one of those books where your like ok I will read a few chapters then go to bed and before you know the book has only a few chapters left and you have to be up in a few hours but you are so sucked into the story you need to finish it. Throughout the whole book you think you know who did it and Poppy and Rhett feel they know who did it and then BAM!!! not what you thought. I loved Beth and her sisterDelilah I so want them to have there happily ever after and I am not sure if the author plans something but I am rooting for them. I really over all enjoyed this book put me on the edge of my seat and just enjoyed it so much I really liked the banter from Rhett and Poppy and Poppy and her brother Tack they made a tough situation in the book laughable at time and it just helps break up a little of the suspense. Overall this book is worth the read.

My Review:

So this is a new to me author and lets just say I was not disappointed in the least. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, now I will say you know early on who done it so the title speaks for itself, it was all about the chase and the twist and turns in the story. I really liked Madison she has a good head on her shoulders and tackles what liv throws at her with as much strength and grace as possible. I also liked Jonas but I did feel like he had a lot of unresolved issues that he wanted and needed to work through. I will say while the author solved on thing she leaves you wondering about another and leaves you wanting more and wanting to know what is going to happen next. Overall this book was a clean read and well worth the read I truly had a hard time putting it down.

Bestselling author Lynette Eason concludes her latest suspense-filled series with a bang as secrets are revealed and the guilty are brought to justice.

My Review:

I could not put this book down the author did not disappoint at all that’s for sure. Through most of the book it was completely action packed and has you on the edge of your seat. It also feels very much like you are right there. I loved Ava she just went through so much and so many emotions but would let nothing or no one stop her from finding the truth, she was a true fighter. Caden was there to fight for the rights of everyone and get to the bottom of truth and trying to protect Ava without loosing his heart. I really enjoyed reading about the friends of the characters too it felt more like a family then just friends. The author had no problem making you really really dislike the bad guy either but then make you feel bad for him a little too. Overall this book was an amazing read and I can’t wait to see what the author does next with this group of friends. I received a complimentary copy of this book. My thoughts on the book:

I really have enjoyed this series and this book did not disappoint. Is this predictable yes to a point but on some things the author keeps you guessing to the very end which for me made me not want to stop reading just so I can see what is going to happen next. I did not like Nate at first, but he grows on you and keeps you questioning his motives for sure. Chase was one of the good guys but he also can come off as unlikeable which made it for me the right balance, it keeping me interested in what he was going to do next. I loved Sadie, she was the person that seem to keep the family together and while she did not like her brother because of his choices in the book she does everything she can to help him do what is right.  If you are looking for a fun read that doesn’t disappoint then this book is for you. I liked that the author kept the book clean to a point and makes it complete enjoyable to read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. really liked this book. I told my husband I needed to finish this book because I needed to solve the case. Thats how it felt that you were solving the case right along with Jane, Reid and Jane’s staff. I really Liked Jane she was a fighter and she struggled but had no problem letting it out there and question her own faith. I liked how the author didn’t make everything seem so “perfect” but showed that they struggled even in the good times. I also liked the author kept is cleaned and a good read for all. Overall this book is so worth the read! I received a complimentary copy of this book.
