My Review:

Kate is a new author to me and I love finding new authors so I was excited to read this book. Booth was someone who was a man of mystery and he did not disappoint when he lets his secret out, I wasn’t sure what I expected but it wasn’t that. Nova was a hard head stubborn and sometimes I wanted to yell at her to let her guard down a little to let people in. I loved how Aria was fiercely protective of Nova and would do anything to protect her including calling out Booth. we all need and Aria in our lives. overall I enjoyed this read it keeps you guessing till the end the author keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. I will say that in the end I have so many questions and can’t wait to find out what happens next to this fire crew.

Make it Real Nan Reinhardt

Description:

They were only faking it….

A landscape designer for his family’s construction firm, Joe Walker, is nearing completion on one of the most important projects of his career—gardens for spec homes that if they wow, Walker Construction will survive. When a freak accident sidelines him with a broken leg, the firm hires a competitor. Her ideas are radically different, but his stalker ex arrives to play nurse, and Joe needs more than gardening help.

After six-years working in English manor gardens, horticulturist Kara Sudbury returns to River’s Edge to help in her grandparents’ struggling garden center. She’s thrilled when Jackson Walker hires her to execute his injured cousin’s designs. Ignoring Joe is difficult because he’s as sexy now as he was in high school and even more stubborn. But when Joe asks Kara to play the role of girlfriend, they strike a deal that will help Joe handle his tenacious ex and put Sudbury’s Nursery back in the black. Kara’s up for the subterfuge…for a price, but then the pretense feels real, and Kara is reminded that every rose has its thorns.

My Review:

I thought this story was really cute. I liked how there really wasn’t a lot of push and pull but straight up story that felt could be relatable. Kara was no non-sense kind of girl you were not going to get anything by her and she was going to tell you like it was. The author through a twist into the story with Kara that I wasn’t sure where she was going with it but it played out perfectly. I liked Joe too he was like the other Walkers we have read about in this series he would not take life sitting down he it bound and determine to see through the project even injured. I Liked how his siblings gave him a hard time but he gave back just equally totally reminds me of my siblings. This story gives you that small town feel for sure. Overall I really like this read I will say this is sexual undertones but all behind close doors so may not be suitable for all readers.

Firestorm Lisa Philips

Description:

SECRETS. BETRAYAL. SACRIFICE.
THIS TIME, THEY’RE NOT JUST FIGHTING FIRE.

An original series created by bestselling authors Susan May Warren and Lisa Phillips.

He thought his life was over…and then she walked back in.

Charlie Benning has always been a rescuer—first with the Last Chance County Fire and Rescue team, and now as a firefighter with the Jude County Hotshots. But this summer isn’t about saving lives—it’s about hiding his own terrible secret. A secret he’s keeping from his estranged daughter, Alexis.

But fate is about to intervene.

Will their secrets destroy their second chance?

Jayne Price raised her son, Orion, on her own just fine, thank you. And now, she runs Wildlands Academy, a summer camp that teaches kids how to fight forest fires and confront their own teenage angst—kids like Alexis Benning, who clearly has a chip on her shoulder about her semi-estranged, firefighter father.

And Jayne has her own issues, like not wanting her only son to join the elite smokejumping corps. It’s enough that he’s risking his life as a hotshot on the Jude County team.

Then the wildfire turns its force onto the camp and suddenly the hotshots show up to help her fight it. Only problem…the last person she expects is for her former flame, Charlie Benning—the man she can’t forget—to show up working alongside her son.

Rather, his son.

Who he doesn’t know exists.

And then Charlie discovers the secret she’s been keeping, and he’s torn between anger and the long-simmering love that refuses to die. And Jayne isn’t about to let go of the man she loves a second time. But if the blazing wildfire isn’t enough, a dangerous and relentless killer is on the prowl in the woods…

Now, with the camp cut off from the outside world and the fire closing in, it’s a race against time as Charlie, Jayne, Orion, and a team of courageous smokejumpers join forces to protect the campers against a merciless inferno and a murderer. But the biggest threat of all might be Charlie’s devastating secret that could destroy the happy ending they’ve waited for so long.

Prepare for an edge-of-your-seat journey that will leave you breathless until the very last page, in book four of the Chasing Fire: Montana series.

Chasing Fire: Montana
Book 1: Flashpoint
Book 2: Flashover
Book 3: Flashback
Book 4: Firestorm
Book 5: Fireline
Book 6: Fireproof

My Review:

I feel with this series so far there is always a character that I can connect with as a reader and that was very much the case with this book as well. The author does a good job at making them feel so real. I liked Jayne her faith was as deep as her love for her son was and she truly just wanted what was best for him as well as the campers that she over saw. Charlie has a big heart but he keeps himself hidden the best way he can so not to hurt those he loves including his daughter. He gets in there and takes charge no matter the cost. I liked a lot of the sub characters in this book as well and can’t wait to see what happens next. I will say the ending was not my favorite only because I left me wanting more and wondering what is going to happen, so I hope there is more to come with this group of friends in the rest of the series. Overall the author kept this a good clean read and it was well worth it.

My Review:

This book was so relatable making it a little tough to read, however it was a really good book. I really liked Allie she was so standoffish in the beginning I really wasn’t sure what I was going to think but to what her grown and become someone amazing was so fun. Dakota he did not hold back and I loved how his friend on the fire crew put him in his place a time or too as well. I really like Ethan and Nolan those boys saw a lot but were fighters and would not stop at anything to protect their mom. I really hope to learn more about there story and hope this was not the end. Overall this book is a must read and was so worth the read.

Last Dance with the Texas Bull Rider Rebecca Crowley

 Description:
She was always the ‘perfect’ Star—until she fell…
Jessa Star danced her way to the perfect ballet career, and when injury cut it short, she returned to Last Stand, Texas to open a dance studio—the perfect back-up plan. She’s convinced everyone she’s perfectly happy and perfectly fulfilled, and she’s confident the secret that could blow up her life is perfectly concealed—until her wildly imperfect bull-rider husband careens into town.
Happy-go-lucky Caleb “Calamity” Ross may not be a top-tier rodeo cowboy, but he doesn’t mind. His life on the road is fun, free, and fast enough to outrun his toxic upbringing. But when a bad wreck at the Last Stand Rodeo puts him in the hospital, he wakes to find his runaway bride by his side—the one woman who might matter enough to stop him in his rambling tracks.
Their marriage was a joke, but there’s nothing funny about their connection, or the threats they pose to each other’s futures. The clock is ticking on their wedding bells, and they’ll have to decide whether to say ‘I do’ again—or say goodbye.

My Review:
I was excited to read this book  because the first few were such a fun reads and I couldn’t wait to see what the sisters were up too. I like Jessa while you can see she struggled with self confidence like most women do but it totally made her feel 100% relatable. She was also a fighter she fought for what she felt was right to her bones. Caleb had to grow on me some while I love a good cowboy in a story I felt like he just did not fit that tough exterior, honestly it felt like he had nothing else in life so he fell back on the one thing that would be an adventure. Eventually his shell was cracked and you got to see the real him for who he was, which was this fun loving guy with a big heart. Overall I really did enjoy the story. There is sexual content in the story so it may not be suitable for all. Also I loved Amy she’s a spitfire and one not to mess with.
Spoil alert:
I will say the situation that has played out in the other two books with the aunt and cousin from the girls mom’s was kind of anti-climatic to me.

The Cowboy’s Claim Sinclair Jayne

He wouldn’t even be in Marietta but for a vow he made to his fallen team leader to solve a mystery that spans decades. And then a freak accident hospitalizes him, risking his mission to honor his friend.

She begs him to keep their secret, but when Calhoun reveals he’s in town to solve the long ago disappearance of her father and brother, keeping her distance, hands, and secrets to herself is beyond challenging.

Not to mention she might be…pregnant?

My Review:

I have read this whole series so I was excited to get my hands on this one for sure. I will say I was happy to see this one came with a bit of a suspense/mystery to it, it felt right. I like Calhoun he was a bit of a softy and not really a tough guy but with the situations in the book it just made sense. Jory was a tough nut, she was someone who had walls built so high it was going to take someone softer to break those walls down and let her see the love she deserved. They just complimented each other so much. I was also glad to catch up with the others from the series and see where they were in life. This book does contain sex content so may not be suitable for all. Overall I would say this was a fun book to read and the author did a good job keeping you guessing with what was really going on.

Her older sister, Sara, still lives in Chatham, Cape Cod, where they grew up, and is married with four children. When Hannah gets the chance to retreat to her aunt’s oceanfront house in Chatham for the summer, it seems like just the thing to get her creative juices flowing. And she’ll be able to spend more time with Sara, who is eager to find her way back into the workforce, to do something rewarding and book-related. The pair will spend the summer making friends, rekindling romance— especially Spencer, an old acquaintance from high school-turned very hot grump— and opening themselves up to the magic of books and the beach.

Perfect for fans of Mary Kay Andrews, Susan Mallery and Brenda Novak, The Seaside Sisters will delight and charm you as easily as an ocean breeze.

My Review:

I really struggled to get into this story, The story itself was cute however there was 3 peoples stories you are following so right as you get into one another one starts so I find this difficult to keep up with at times. I did like Sara and Hannah and felt like their closeness is what all sister want/have. I loved Joy she was so fun and always wanting what was best for everyone involved. Overall I don’t think this is the book for me.

Don’t miss this breathtaking race for truth set amid the glorious–and deadly–Glacier Bay from USA Todaybestselling author Elizabeth Goddard.

My Review:

I feel like this book truly could have been ripped from the headlines. This is one of those stories that will keep you guessing and wondering what is going to happen next. I love stories that are based in Alaska this author always has a way of making you feel like you are right there and can visually see what’s the characters see. I really liked Ivy she was a fighter and set aside her own wants for those who needed her more. I liked Nolan as well to me though because of his job and things he as seen and faced he seemed very reserved however he wanted and fought for what was right. Overall this was a amazing read I had the hardest time putting it down.

Will Hardesty understands escape. Growing up heir apparent cowboy on his family’s ranch in Marietta, Montana, he left behind his difficult father to play football in college and the NFL. Initially he thinks he’s Driving Miss Crazy, but even his inner cynic can’t resist his adorable passenger who’s funny and consistently finds the bright side of everything.

But will an emergency detour to his family’s ranch coupled with a convenient lie about their blossoming relationship be the romantic nudge they both need or their undoing?

My Review:

This was a fun read. Izzy was so sassy and such a fun character. I feel like she was one of the people we need in our lives that even in the troubled times, there is time to laugh. Will to me was the polar opposite, I want to say that he would be a small stick in the mud type who’s family responsibility he cared on his shoulders. He was super fun too though he went with the punches and I loved that his sister held him accountable and called him out. Man I can’t wait to read more about this family. I will say I was torn on who was my favorite character though I think its a tie between Sarah and Lucille, I think they need to join forces because nothing was getting by them. Overall this was a fun read and I really enjoyed it, there is adult content so it may not be suitable for all.

Buckle up y’all, are in for a wild ride with this one! So you know how with some books you are just waiting for the build up to just get there, yeah that’s not the case with this one. This author comes out of the gates and did not disappoint. This is a new to me author and I am so ready for more. This is one of those books where you are like what is going to happen next. I really like Sophia she was a true fighter and did not really realize it till she was faced with the impossible. Houston was one of the stubborn characters where you just were not sure if you wanted to kick him or hug him. There is one character in the book I want to know what happens with but I really hope that this person comes back in other books in the series and this is not the end of it. Overall I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down, its well worth the read.
