A Christmas Changes Everything Isabelle Grace

Description:

This Christmas, Holly and Chace are getting the best present of all – a second chance.

Holly McCade is godmother to two little girls – a role she takes very seriously. So she immediately offers to care for the twins when, three weeks before Christmas, their father is injured and their mother has to rush off to tend to him.

Only Holly won’t be handling the situation alone. The twins’ Uncle Chace, the man Holly almost married, is also coming to help.

Formerly an elite soldier, now a private security specialist, Chace Dutton is trained to deal with the toughest, scariest situations. Yet nothing has prepared him for the daunting task of sharing childcare duties with the only woman he’s ever loved.

The woman who tore his heart to shreds when she said she could never be with a man who might be killed every time he went to work.

Now, eight years later and living under the same roof, Chace and Holly are given a glimpse into how their life together might have been.

Will they have the courage to rekindle their love and grab hold of this second chance? Or is all the mistletoe for nothing?

Now,a full-length novel, A Christmas Changes Everything, was previously published as the novella Mistletoe and Holly.

My Review:

I thought this was a cute love story. Its definitely a second chance at love story with characters who are laid back and easy to follow where you feel like you are just catching up with friends. I liked Holly and Kit the sisters are to fun and I hope Kit’s story will come soon cause I can see it now she is going to be a pistol. Holly was super cautious when it came to Chace but not in the annoying way but more so that she didn’t want to over do laying her heart back on the line. She was fun the fun aunt with Emme and Wren and those two kept everyone on the toes for sure. Chace was one of those guys you see what you get an he’s not going to hold back where you stand with him. He was such a big push over when it came to his nieces it had me laughing because it was so relatable. Overall this book was a fun read, however there is sex and strong language so may not be suitable for all.

“This action-packed thriller is sure to please.”–
IRENE HANNON, bestselling and award-winning author

“I love Dani’s writing, and The Deadly Shallows is one of her best! Tightly written and dripping with tension. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.”–CARRIE STUART PARKS, bestselling and award-winning author of Relative Silence

My Review:

I could not put this book down, from the first page to the last. This author has a way of putting you on the edge of your seat and makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the madness. I really liked Brooke she was such a fighter and loved wholeheartedly. Noah was a protector of anyone who he truly cared about. The book did keep me guessing for the first part of the book until everything started playing out, but even with all the piecing together the author kept you guessing to what was going to happen next. This book is amazing and I can not stop recommending this book.

The Texas Hero’s Homecoming Charlene Sands

Description:

His final mission may be the most dangerous of all…to her heart.

Autumn Messina has finally put herself first and achieved her dream of becoming a teacher. She’s only sorry it’s come at the expense of having to sell the once thriving Messina Farm. Autumn loves her father and the farm, but she can’t do it all, and her brother has no plans to move back home. And then her brother’s best friend saunters back into her life even more handsome than she remembers and arrogantly full of plans and answers to questions she no longer wants to ask.

After exiting his special forces unit to return home to Last Stand, Sam Russell feels duty bound to help his best friend’s struggling family farm. He’s not expecting such fierce resistance in the form of a still-angry Autumn, who’s become even more beautiful and tempting in his years away.

Autumn doesn’t want his help, but Sam has never given up so easily. And what starts off as just doing his duty quickly becomes something much more personal.

My Review:

Yall I did not read the first 2 books in this series but I can say I want to now. In this book the author has a way of making you feel like you are right there watching the whole thing play out. Defiantly a coming home story and finding yourself. Autumn has a feisty spirit, but an ol’ soul who love, cares and feels deeply. You could feel her emotions through the pages in some parts of the book. Sam was a giver, yet he also felt he “owed” people and no one was exempt from that, he just wanted to make sure he showed the same honor he learned in the military. This book is a clean read and over all I really loved it, this book was a quick read and I think the only thing I left wanting more of is I hope that  Joe gets his story told next. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Description:

Honorably discharged from the Army after an explosion nearly killed her, former military psychiatrist Brooke Adams has set up shop to help others–but her days of helping military personnel are over. She’s got her own battles to fight from her time overseas, and she’s not equipped to take on more. Former Army Special Ops Sergeant First Class Asher James could handle anything that war sent his way–terrorists, bombs, bullets. The only thing that scares him now is sleep. As the shadows close in, the nightmares begin.

Finally convinced that he needs help, Asher makes an appointment with a counselor, and Brooke is pressed by her boss to take him on. When he arrives at her office she isn’t there–but a dead body is. Brooke is devastated when she walks in, and Asher is a conveniently strong shoulder to cry on. But she can’t take him on as a client after sharing such an intimate and unprofessional moment, can she? And he’s not sure he can handle sharing his deepest fears with such a beautiful woman.

When it becomes clear that Brooke was the real target of the attack–and that her secrets go even deeper than his own–Asher vows to protect her no matter what.

Bestselling author Lynette Eason is back with a new series that spans the globe and will have your heart working overtime.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was amazing I really had a hard time putting it down. The author deals with some tragic situations. I honestly feel like the situations in this book could be totally be pulled from the headlines. I loved Brooke and her friends they all seemed to have a heart for others no matter what they are facing. I loved how Brooke was able to face some of her fears and keep fighting for what was right. I liked Asher, while sometimes it seemed more that Brooke was saving him, he always seemed to have everyones best interest at heart. Now can we please talk about Lyric she was my favorite her and Sarah need to be friends and have there stories told, they both this take no prisoner attitude in them and will stop at nothing. I liked that this book was a good clean read and that even thought there were tough subjects the author kept you going from beginning to end.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
