A Christmas Changes Everything Isabelle Grace

Description:

This Christmas, Holly and Chace are getting the best present of all – a second chance.

Holly McCade is godmother to two little girls – a role she takes very seriously. So she immediately offers to care for the twins when, three weeks before Christmas, their father is injured and their mother has to rush off to tend to him.

Only Holly won’t be handling the situation alone. The twins’ Uncle Chace, the man Holly almost married, is also coming to help.

Formerly an elite soldier, now a private security specialist, Chace Dutton is trained to deal with the toughest, scariest situations. Yet nothing has prepared him for the daunting task of sharing childcare duties with the only woman he’s ever loved.

The woman who tore his heart to shreds when she said she could never be with a man who might be killed every time he went to work.

Now, eight years later and living under the same roof, Chace and Holly are given a glimpse into how their life together might have been.

Will they have the courage to rekindle their love and grab hold of this second chance? Or is all the mistletoe for nothing?

Now,a full-length novel, A Christmas Changes Everything, was previously published as the novella Mistletoe and Holly.

My Review:

I thought this was a cute love story. Its definitely a second chance at love story with characters who are laid back and easy to follow where you feel like you are just catching up with friends. I liked Holly and Kit the sisters are to fun and I hope Kit’s story will come soon cause I can see it now she is going to be a pistol. Holly was super cautious when it came to Chace but not in the annoying way but more so that she didn’t want to over do laying her heart back on the line. She was fun the fun aunt with Emme and Wren and those two kept everyone on the toes for sure. Chace was one of those guys you see what you get an he’s not going to hold back where you stand with him. He was such a big push over when it came to his nieces it had me laughing because it was so relatable. Overall this book was a fun read, however there is sex and strong language so may not be suitable for all.

Something Old, Something New Amy Clipston

Description:

Sometimes treasure can be found where you least expect it.

In the decade since high school graduation, Christine Sawyer has realized her dream of opening Treasure Hunting Antique Mall, the place where shoppers find gems that are new to them. Between her store, her house, and her role as a doting aunt, she’s happy with her life—if a bit lonely. But she’s used to being less lucky in love than her fraternal twin sister. Britney was always the popular one, the head cheerleader who dated the homecoming king and quarterback, while Christine stayed in the shadows.

Brent Nicholson is still trying to come to grips with the shambles his life has become. After leading his football team to a state championship, he suffered a career-ending injury. Now he’s lost his construction business thanks to his so-called best friend. So when his great-aunt Midge asks for his help readying her home to put it on the market, the opportunity to spend time with his biggest fan is a balm to his bruised soul.

But the antiques Brent finds in his aunt’s house lead him to an unexpected partnership with Christine. After being blind to her for so many years, is it too late for the former high school jock to win the heart of the self-proclaimed “nerdy twin”?

As they shift through items of the past, Christine and Brent learn to let go of the pieces they don’t want to bring into the future—and realize the value of what’s in front of them today.

“Hometown charm and swoon-worthy second chances make this a must read.” —Kristen Mckanagh, author of Snowball’s Christmas

My Review:

This is a small town romance and was a fun read for me! The one question that kept coming to mind when reading this book was, Why are we so obsessed with what other think about how we live our lives. I found that both Brent and Christine struggled with self worth and yet that did not stop them from living the best life they could and being there for those who they cared about. I was not a fan of Britney, she was not nice at all and I feel like Pam summed her up perfectly in the book. I loved Pam and Steve they were the greatest of friends and the biggest of cheerleaders for Brent and Chris. I also really love aunt Midge she was so feisty and when she spoke everyone listened, we all need a Midge in our lives. Overall the author kept this a clean read and so its suitable for all and I loved the simplicity of it.

Christmas Eve Cowboy Diana Palmer; Delores Fossen; Kate Pearce

Description:

Snow is falling, and when it comes to love, so are these rugged, gorgeous cowboys, in a romantic holiday collection from three bestselling authors . . .

ONCE THERE WAS A LAWMAN * Diana Palmer
FBI agent Thomas Kincaid Jones has soured on love and Christmas, but Annalisa Davis could change all that. Except the lovely nurse isn’t looking to get involved with someone whose job requires a gun on his hip. And Tom has a case to solve that has nothing to do with love. Yet the spirit of the holidays just might spark a lifetime connection . . .

CHRISTMAS CREEK COWBOY * Delores Fossen
In Christmas Creek, Texas, folks go all out for the holidays, but Sheriff Calen Jameson is too busy commiserating about cheating exes with his best friend, Emmy Kendrick. Calen always thought their bond was too precious to risk, yet maybe it’s time to start making some changes . . . by firing up the heat with Emmy.

COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS * Kate Pearce
Lucy Smith thinks Santa has outdone himself when Caleb Erickson shows up at her B&B. In high school, Caleb was oblivious to her crush. But while they wait out a snowstorm, he’s discovering she may be the gift he never knew he wanted . . .

My Review:

Once There was a Lawman-So this story starts the book off strong!  So with this story even though they just met it seemed to just work. The author made it seemed liked they had known each other forever and it didn’t feel like the author was forcing it. I loved Annalisa she was feisty and she could hold her own she had the biggest heart for others.  I liked Tom he came off like a know it all at some times but his heart was int he right place! I would say this story out of all three was my favorite.

Christmas Creek Cowboy-This story was so cute it had small town drama, it had best friends finding love and it had a cute baby with tons of surprises. I think in the end the only thing I was more of was Nessa and her story she felt like such a mystery that needed to be discovered. I really Liked Emmy she was a pistol. Calen he seem to have the towns problems on his shoulders but did not let that stop him from being a kind human to everyone.

Coming Home for Christmas-This story was probably my least favorite out of all three stories. The story seemed more forced then organic. I did like Lucy she was full of sprit and a fighter but I just felt like she could have done better then Caleb. Caleb was ok but he came off very self centered. I also really liked Chip he was such a wise soul. Overall the book was a fun read and very quick read even with three stories. Each story does contain adult content that may not be suitable for all readers.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

After wandering the country, she’s finally found the perfect location—Mason Avery’s expansive Arizona mountainside property. Convincing the widowed dad—and the town—to agree might take a little prayer and a lot of hard work. But Dana’s never backed down from a challenge yet…

From Love Inspired: Uplifting stories of faith, forgiveness and hope.

My Review:

Sometime you know if the journey you are on is going to be for the long run or if you need to take what you learned and help others. I feel that was what Dana did in this book she wanted a place to heal but also wanted to help other heal. Mason needed to get everything together in order to figure out what was best for his son. I really liked Charlie he had such a big heart that was hurting and needed to find life at such a young age. This book was such a quick and cute read. It was fun and a clean read and worth it over all.
