Facing false allegations back home in New York City, Lucienne Dunn has only one hope left to save herself: asking her father for help. Though his ruthless solution goes against everything she’s ever believed in, she must go along with his plan, even if it means clashing with a sexy, ex-military cowboy…

But the Paxtons refuse to sell, and there’s danger brewing on the ranch. Everything in Lucienne’s life is falling apart. How can she live without Brock when it does?

My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book it was super cute very Cowboy love story for sure. Lucienne is on the “run” hoping to get away from her life even if its for a moment. Brock just wants to find where he fits in life while everyone around him seems to have someone. I really like the closeness of the Paxton family no matter what they all stood by each other and had each others back. Lucienne she was a fighter and willing to help no matter what. I liked that the author kept the story clean I liked the story it was fun read and had a hard time putting it down overall. I did not read the It was also fun catching up with Ava and Beau from book one can’t wait to see where the author goes next with the Paxton family. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Delilah’s not only as talented as she is beautiful, she’s impossible to fool. Or forget.

Can Jock win her heart with his secret recipe or are they only destined to battle it out in the kitchen?

My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book it was so cute, the characters felt really relatable which is so fun. I did feel at the beginning Delilah came off a little whiney but the more I read and the more her story was told she became less whiney and more understood. I liked the push and pull with Jock their personalities made it fun. The book for the most part was clean there was one scene with sexual content but over all the author kept it fun and simple. I really enjoyed tis fun love story and I really enjoyed the family factor in this fun story as well. I loved Delilah’s Meemaa she was a pistol and so so fun. Over all this book was worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Boone Emily March

 Description:

In Eternity Springs: The McBrides of TexasNew York Times bestselling author Emily March presents a brand new arc set in the Lone Star State that features a family-linked trilogy within the author’s romantic series.

With his smooth talk, rugged good looks, and deep pockets, native Texan Boone McBride appears to be a man who has it all. Few people know about the heartbreak behind his decision to leave home, family, and career for the isolation of a small town in the Colorado Rockies. Luckily, time and life in Eternity Springs has worked its healing magic upon his wounded soul, so when he meets obviously troubled Hannah Dupree, Boone sees a chance to pay his good fortune forward. The last thing he anticipates is tumbling into love.

Tragedy has taken everything Hannah loves, and her will to keep going is failing. So when Boone strides into her life determined to save her, it’s easier to go along with him than to resist. Soon she is drawn into the fabric of life in Eternity Springs, and as her spirit begins to heal, her strength returns, and she’s able to go toe-to-toe with this hardheaded, big-hearted Texan. But just when love blooms and happiness is within their grasp, shadows from the past threaten. Hannah and Boone must stand strong and united in order to defeat old ghosts―if they are to create a brand-new life together.

My thoughts on the book:

The cousin’s are back, I was so glad to be able to catch up with Tucker, Jackson and now Boone. I really love Celeste she’s full of wisdom and guidance and does it in such a way that you don’t know what hits you until she’s done. I felt this book did deal with some tough subjects but in the end it was worth it. Nothing seems to be off limits with this author and I appreciate that because it makes the characters feel more like friends and less like fictional characters. Hannah has such a big heart and she is dealing with some things and looking for healing. I like that every time I read about Eternity Springs its seems like some one is looking for healing and Eternity Springs is just that place to find that healing. Boone did come off pushy sometimes but its really hard not to like him and see where his heart is. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes of sexual content. Overall this book is really good and I could not put it down so worth the read. I can’t wait to see who shows up in Eternity Springs next. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Decadent: Big Sky Pie #4 Andrianne Lee

What’s the book about:

Contractor Wade Reynolds is having a tough year. His cherry farm went bust, and his construction clients threaten to unhinge what’s left of his sanity. But Wade’s passion for life heats up when he’s hired to remodel a new storefront next to Big Sky Pie -and he falls for the red-hot, bad girl who’s setting up her catering shop there.

Fresh off her own divorce, Roxy isn’t looking for another relationship, just a spontaneous fling or three. Her contractor Wade looks as delicious as her specialty confections, but he’s way too buttoned-up for a casual affair. Yet there’s an ultra-sexy strength about him Roxy can’t resist. What that man clearly needs is something decadent-like her…

My thoughts on the book:

This book was a fun read. I love how the characters have so much chemistry, its sweet and caring but HOT with a capitol H, between them and you can feel it coming of the page. I think one of my favorite things about this book and thus far with all of Ms. Lee’s book are that everything seems to be fixed with pie and a good drink or a simple beer. There is a part in the book were the men are sitting around drinking beer and eating pie and it reminds me of my Father in-law and his friends you will always find them sitting around drinking and eatin, so I feel like this could be very much real life too. I liked how she took to broken people who were not ready for much of anything and shared the story in such away that it kept you hooked till the end. You go rooting for the underdog in this book. But each person seems to deal with some rough issues but they don’t wallow in it. I love how she also brought back the characters from other books and gets you caught up in there lives but doesn’t go to far from the storyline to do so like I have seen other authors do. I can not wait to read more from her she has a gift for story telling and this book does a good job showing it. This book ends with a recipe and I swear a girl can never have enough pie recipes. I hope you enjoy this fun book. I got this book from netgalley for my honest review

Crazy Little Thing (A Bell Harbor Novel) Tracy Brogan

What the book is about:

If Sadie Turner is good at anything, it’s putting stuff in order. So when she finds her “perfect” life in disarray, she hopes a summer vacation at her aunt’s lake house will help her piece it back together. She wants to relax, reboot, and heal the wounds left by her cheating ex-husband. And that requires time away from men. All men.
Or so she thinks.
With two slobbering dogs and two cousins living there—one a flamboyant decorator intent on making over Sadie—it’s hard to get a moment’s peace at eccentric Aunt Dody’s house, especially with everyone so determined to set her up with Desmond, the sexy new neighbor.
Desmond is Sadie’s worst nightmare. Tall, tanned, muscular…and to top it off, he’s great with her kids. But he must have a flaw—he’s a man—so Sadie vows to keep her distance.
As summer blazes on, the life Sadie is trying so hard to simplify only becomes more complicated—a new career presents itself, her evil ex haunts her, and Aunt Dody reveals a tragic secret—but maybe a little chaos is just what Sadie needs to get her life back in order.

My Thoughts about the book:

I loved this book it was fun and witty and kept you laughing through the whole thing. I could not wait to find out what was happening. It was lighthearted but also dealt with divorce, affairs homosexuality and so love thrown in to boot. Aunt DO it a riot, I think we all have a family member like her. She is fun, loving, exocentric, but she will love you in spite of herself.  This book will have you laughing so hard at so if you are in public be prepared I was dying laughing at probably the most inappropriate times…lol I hope you enjoy this book it is defiantly with the read hands down (not recommend for young reads for sure). There is some foul language used in this book as well as some adult situations but over all it does not take much from the book.

Forever Amish Kate Lloyd

About the Book:

Sally Bingham needs some time away to sort through the changes in her life and to rethink her upcoming marriage. Despite her ailing father’s hesitations, she takes off for a bed and breakfast in Lancaster County for a weekend away. But her best-laid plans leave her in a near collision with a bishop’s buggy and in the home of a mysterious Amish woman named Lizzie. Lizzie introduces her to a different perspective on life, a charming farmhand named Armin— and opens a Pandora’s box that will forever change Sally’s life. The latest book in the Legacy of Lancaster trilogy, Forever Amish introduces us to a young woman about to uncover a shocking secret and find an invitation to a new way of living. This is a story of forgiveness, legacies, and the ties that bind through generations.

My thoughts on the book:

This book is ultimately about forgiveness, and how lying can really do a lot more harm then good. I found this book captivating. The book grabs you and keeps you wanting more. It is told from one person side but the author manages to tell everyone’s story, and does an amazing job doing so. I just love Amrin he’s there but not really and then catches you and you are so intrigued by him you just want to know so much more. As Sally struggles with her past and find her future she struggles with her present to. Sally struggles with forgiveness, abandonment, and her own self worth when she receives an email from someone that take her to a place she is always drawn to but can’t figure out why. Sally struggles to figure out who she is and finds that the people closest to her may not be who she always thought they were. I just love the emotions of the characters and how she did not portray the Amish and better then or flawless but just a broken as the rest of us. The author did a good job with this book I would recommend it to anyone, but I think this would be a good book for a preteen or teenager.

I really felt like I could totally be friends with Georgie and Zach both have these big hearts who love unconditionally and will do anything for anyone. I really really liked this book a lot I like meddling Big E I love Grandma Dot and Pops. As she embraces him and his new family, she gives him hope that this Christmas could be different.

With their happiness hanging by a thread, Kelly hopes for a Christmas miracle, but Mick, who’s not as jaded as he thought, wants so much more.

My thoughts on the book:

Do not let the title fool you, I will say I thought I had it all figured out and this book was going to be so predictable, I was quite wrong. This book was a really cute story yes a tough subject to discuss when it involves children but so worth the read. I loved that Mick was willing to take up for his younger brother and loves his niece and nephew like his own children. I loved Kelly and her big heart and even though she skeptical she’s is willing to give people a chance to prove her wrong or right why still doing the right thing. Over all this was a really good story I love reading or seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child it really does give you a different perspective. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Snowed in with the Firefighter Victoria James

Description:

Dr. Melody Mayberry’s life just took a turn that’s left her questioning everything. Where better to hide out than the remote family cabin in the mountains? The last thing she expects to find there is her swoon-worthy brother-in-law, the one man who may have more baggage than her.

Finn Matthews is not ready to face the fact that the recent injury he sustained in a fire may have ended his firefighting career. He’s not interested in sharing the cabin with anyone, let alone Melody, and their family just texted with yet another unwelcome surprise—they’ll be there Christmas Eve.

To keep their meddling family at bay, the two team up to fake a little holiday cheer. But between ridiculously competitive Monopoly games, marathon Christmas decorating, and a storm that strands them together with nothing but a fire and a warm couch, they realize something major—their fake holiday cheer isn’t feeling so fake anymore, and that’s something neither of these two Grinches expected…

My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this cute story. I liked Finn and Melody, even though they each faced something really hard they seemed stubborn enough to keep fighting to get through it. I really liked the sisters and there relationship. I have not read any of the other books in the series so some of it was confusing but it was easy to catch up. I so want to find out what happened with the other sisters in the books for sure. I really liked that over all the author kept the story a clean read and it was a super fun and quick read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. My thoughts on the book:

So I have really enjoyed this series. I really did like this book and please know it was probably me but I can say it took a while for Fiona and Simon to grow on me. I found them both on the immature side and more concerned with what others thought instead of being there true authentic selfs. I did over all like Fiona she has a big heart and truly will help any one. I will be honest I am on edge to find out what happens next with finding Thomas Blackwell. I love that with each one of the sister’s stories you get to know more about Rudy and Big E and what is going on with the search. I also like being able to catch up with the Blackwell brothers and their family. Over all this book was a really fun read and a clean read. I can not wait to read what happen next with the Blackwell’s.
