Matzah Ball Surprise Laura Brown

Description:
This Passover is starting to feel like the ten plagues might be coming back to haunt them before the weekend is over…one hilarious misstep after the next.

Gaby Fineberg just wants to get through Passover Seder without her “well meaning” family playing matchmaker. She needs a date, just for one simple meal—that includes singing, the history of her forefathers, and not one bit of yeast. The hot guy at her gym would be perfect. He probably hates bread, anyway, with a body like that. But when she finally works up the nerve to ask him…he doesn’t hear a word she said.

Levi Miller is deaf and happily single. Initially, he doesn’t know why this beautiful woman is talking to him, but it’s clear she needs help—and suddenly so does he. In a very complicated situation, Levi finds a simple solution. Gaby will pretend to be his new girlfriend to bail him out, and he’ll return the favor. But he didn’t bargain for a family dinner quite like this one…

My thoughts on the book:

I have never read anything from this author so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The story was completely predictable and I felt that the author tended to repeat herself on certain topics a lot. I did like Izzy and Gaby and their relationship they seemed to have this unbreakable bond between them. Also really enjoyed the relationship between Faith and Anne. I did enjoy reading about Levi and Gaby and the way the stubbled through their situations. This book does contain sex and cussing. Over all there were some laughable moments, the book is a quick read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

The Anti-Honeymoon Bethany Michaels

Description:

No groom? No Problem.

When her fiancé tries to turn their wedding into a publicity stunt, Jenna ditches the nuptials—and the groom she shouldn’t have been with in the first place—and skips straight to the honeymoon. The getaway driver, her ex-fiancé’s former business partner, Zach, is the perfect guy to help reshape her romantic newlywed itinerary into an anti-couple, anti-romance, anti-honeymoon adventure for two.

They trade couples yoga for kickboxing lessons. Five-star dining on the beach for pizza and beer at a dive bar. Forget couples massage—Jenna’s getting that tattoo she’s always wanted, and dares Zach to get one, too. And those naughty boudoir pics she took in place of romantic sunset snaps? Those aren’t going in anyone’s wedding album. Not that Zach will forget them anytime soon.

As each item on Jenna’s anti-couples list is checked off, the anti-honeymoon with Zach feels more and more like the real thing, and she wishes the list was just a little bit longer…and even steamier.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was very predictable but so worth the read. The book was a fun and quick read. Jenna is more of a laid back take life as it comes and Zach is a type A personality everything has to be planned out, in this book everything is tossed in the air and nothing goes as planned for either. I really like Marcy she had a small part in the book was she was mighty. I would love to read her story next and see what trouble she gets into. This book has curse words and sex so may not be suitable for all. Over all this book was quick read and well worth it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Worth the Wait Traci Douglass

Description:

Mandy Reynolds needs a reset on life in so many ways. Her acting career isn’t exactly where she’d hoped it to be. She can’t even get a job as a germ for a commercial. When she inherits half a house she sees it as a sign and heads home to Heavenly Falls, Illinois. She’ll sell the house, and use the money to take her career to the next level in Los Angeles. That is if she can convince her hard-headed––and stupidly gorgeous–– ex-stepbrother, Alex Noonan, to sell fast.
The last time Alex saw Mandy, she was a gangly teen, who followed him around like a sad puppy. But she’s grown into a smart and funny woman, who is as frustrating as she is beautiful. The fact that they have to live in the house––together––while they fix it up, is one temptation he doesn’t need. And while he’s having fun spending time with her, she’s moving on soon, and he needs time to heal.

Plus, she has no idea he’s got a secret that could put a monkey wrench in all of her plans…

My thoughts on the book:

This story was cute over all, this book was a short read so it was a quick read. I did feel like some times it did drag and I felt like the author did repeat herself through out the story. I liked Mandy and Alex and however I felt like this story was completely predictable. There is sex implied but nothing in detail the language over all was very mild if not any I think maybe one or two words. Over all like I said the story was cute but predictable. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

She’s ready to move on, and as she deals with the stresses of a holiday season and a broken arm, she realizes Ethan is always the one she’s leaned on.

Ethan’s determined to resist Pen and her girls. He’s got too many secrets and scars to be any good for them, but as a Christmas in Last Stand works its magic, Ethan begins to find out just how tenacious Pen is and how lonely his heart has been.

My thoughts on the book:

I really like this book I read the first in the series and the author has away of getting you right in the heart. I really love how the author take a group of really imperfect people and doesn’t try and change them but tries to heal them. I also enjoyed in this story how the author had the 3 girls personality really shine off the pages they were just as equally fun to read about. My heart broke for Addie she was so small but dealt with some very adult emotions. I could not put this book down I really wanted to see how the story was playing out. There is one sex scene not completely in detail but you get the point. Over all this book is a super fun read and so will sum up what Christmas and family is really about, so worth the read.

But when a real estate developer sets his sights on the Elliott land, Lucky will have to decide if the money means security for his family, or if he’ll fight for Sleigh Bell with Rachel by his side.

My thoughts on the book:

What there perfect book to put you into the Christmas spirit. It has a noisy family and small town ready to help neighbors and hot cowboy and cowgirl I mean what more does it need. This book really was a fun read, the author has you laughing and crying all at once. I enjoyed coming back and reading about Marrietta. This book does have sex in it but it does not have any foul language. I really enjoyed how not matter what Patrick and Lucky were close like brothers and they seemed like two peas in a pod. I lived Rachel and Cloe for the same they were like sister and always willing to do anything for each other. OH and I loved Bill I think we all have a Bill in our lives for sure. If you are looking for a fun book this one will not disappoint.

What starts out as two strangers with a bargain evolves into something more, and for the first time since her world turned upside down, Kit starts to think…maybe.

My thoughts on the book:

I will say I did not read the first book in this series so I am not sure what I missed, however that being said this is a new book new author for me. I found the storyline cute, not very original in fact I found the story completely predictable. I did like Hop and Kit’s mom they were so funny and cute. Kit seem to never let her guard down evening certain situations in the book where is seemed the author wanted you to think it was down. I also felt like sometime the author repeated herself regarding Kit’s “situation”. I did like Shane but he too seemed on the fence almost the whole story. The book does have some sex in it and some language. Over all this book did feel like quick read to me. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. The two try to fight their age-old attraction – in vain. Chase knows Hailey deserves more than a broken-down cowboy for her son and her heart.

Can Chase resist the call of the rodeo and man up for a woman he’s loved for years?

My thoughts on the book:

This book is like the first in the series, I have to say I have really enjoyed reading about how family is what you make of it and that’s what Chase, West, and Ty are doing with the help of Tara and now Hailey. I liked how once again the author took and strong hard headed women who will fight for she wants and will stop at nothing to protect her son. I however was not a fan of Chase in this book, I found him to come off as whinny a lot. He did eventually grow on me but to me he was more a grouchy old man feeling the the Hot smoking cowboy the author was trying to portray. There is a good about of curse words and sex in this book so it may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

Can a cupcake café owner find true love with Mr. Hot Holt Barbecue?

My thoughts on the book:

I found this story so cute. I honestly have no idea how the author wrote this book and not eat while writing, I was reading and getting to hungry. Everything she described in the book it felt like I was either right there or could totally picture it happening, I loved that because it just made you feel like you were right there. I really loved the relationship with Holt and his family and how he wore his heart on his sleeve. I really enjoyed Kayla for the same reason but also because she was vulnerable. I  have not read the first book in the series but I totally want too after reading this one and I can’t wait to see what the three friends are up to in the next book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

But when her first patient turns out to be her first-crush-turned-nemesis Colton Walker, Sara starts wondering if home really is where the heart is….

My thoughts on the book:

Story 1:The town comes together to help one person in need every year no matter what the person faces they will help. We need more of this in our world. I loved the community as a whole in this book. Alex was on this journey to solve a cold case so it add a mystery to the story which was fun. However I did find the story quite predictable, I wish there would have been a little more keeps you guessing going on in the story. The story over all was a good clean read and was a quick read for sure. I loved Grandma Baker hands down one of my favorite characters she has a way of speaking her mind in the most loving way and still getting her point access. I would say over all this book was worth the read and puts you in the Christmas spirit.

Story 2:

I loved this book, I loved how nothing was held back. This is such a sweet love story. I can relate to Sara as having a family member who has dementia, that being said even if that’s not the case the characters were so down to earth and I really felt like I could relate with any of them.  I loved how the author had a way of getting to the heart and also had fun moments throughout. I loved Carmen she was just the constant icebreaker throughout and you truly never knew what was coming out of her mouth. This book does have some adult language/scenes but was a super fun read. I truly loved this book and I am not sure if this will become part of a series but if it does I can’t wait for more. You really can’t go wrong with this amazing love story.I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley, I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

But Meredith isn’t looking for more, and even if she was, Gage is set to leave Tall Pines behind him…

My thoughts on the book:

This book was a very quick read, but remember good things come in small packages. I really enjoyed this story. There is “sex” or at least the innuendo’s through out the book. However the story line is well written and so fun. I really liked Meredith and her wiling to fight strong attitude. I like that the author took 2 imperfect people and didn’t try and make them perfect but made them feel very much like the average person on the street. I really overall enjoyed this fun read, grab it you won’t regret it.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
