Sandcastle Beach Jenny Holiday

4 out of 5

Description:

From the USA Today bestselling “master of witty banter” (Entertainment Weekly) comes a hilarious and heartwarming romance about two enemies whose feud turns red-hot.Maya Mehta will do anything to save her tiny, beloved community theater. Put on musicals she hates? Check. Hire an arrogant former-pop-star-turned-actor? Done. But what Maya really needs to save her theater is Matchmaker Bay’s new business grant. She’s got some serious competition, though: Benjamin “Law” Lawson, local bar owner, Jerk Extraordinaire, and Maya’s annoyingly hot arch nemesis. Let the games begin.
Law loves nothing more than getting under Maya’s skin, and making those gorgeous eyes dance with irritation. But when he discovers the ex-pop star has a thing for Maya, too, Law decides he’s done waiting in the wings-starting with a scorching-hot kiss. Turns out there’s a thin line between hate and irresistible desire, and Maya and Law are really good at crossing it. But when things heat up, will they allow their long-standing feud to get in the way of their growing feelings?

My thoughts on the book:

I will start off saying I did not read book one of this series but I did two and three now and I still fill like I love the matchmakers they are hilarious. In this book they are back to there “manipulation” . I really liked the banter between Law and Maya they have a love hate relationship and you can’t help but to get invested into it and laugh. I was not a fan at all of Holden, he just rubbed me the wrong way and I was so over him with in a few minutes into his story. There is sexual content and adult language through out this book so may not be suitable for all. I would say I thought this was a fun book I hope this is not it for this series and we get to find out what happens with more of the fun characters we have meet through out this story and the other books. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book it was super cute very Cowboy love story for sure. Lucienne is on the “run” hoping to get away from her life even if its for a moment. Brock just wants to find where he fits in life while everyone around him seems to have someone. I really like the closeness of the Paxton family no matter what they all stood by each other and had each others back. Lucienne she was a fighter and willing to help no matter what. I liked that the author kept the story clean I liked the story it was fun read and had a hard time putting it down overall. I did not read the It was also fun catching up with Ava and Beau from book one can’t wait to see where the author goes next with the Paxton family. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The Mountain Monroes

Book 1: Kissed by the Country Doc
Book 2: Snowed in with the Single Dad
Book 3: Rescued by the Perfect Cowboy
Book 4: Lassoed by the Would-Be Rancher
Book 5: Enchanted by the Rodeo Queen
Book 6: Charmed by the Cook’s Kids
Book 7: The Littlest Cowgirls

My thoughts on the book:

I am so excited I got to catch up with the Mountain Monroes’ again. I always feel like this family is loud in your face, yet down to earth and some how in all the craziness a little relatable. I loved catching up with the characters from the other books kind of makes me want to go back and re-read those stories again. I really have to be honest at first and off an on through out the book I really wanted to smack Wyatt he was so pompous and so far up his you know what he became wishy washy but in the end he goes on you and you get it. I liked Ashley why she had some guilt she dealt with it didn’t seem like taking “no” was ever an answer she was stubborn and would stop at nothing to make sure her sister had what she needed. I really overall enjoyed reading this book I liked that the author did keep it a clean read as well. I am not sure if this is the last of the Monroes or not but I hope not they have just been so fun read about and I truly can not wait for more. I received a complimentary copy of this book. A Hometown Proposal C.J. Carmichael

4.5 out of 5 stars

Description:

She’s looking for a second chance to reconnect with her daughter but finds so much more.

Since her husband’s climbing death a year ago, Maureen Shannon’s relationship with her twelve-year-old daughter has spiraled out of control. Desperate, she resigns from her partnership at a legal firm and moves back to her hometown in Whitefish, Montana, with the hope that family and nature can heal their wounds. Her investment in a heli-skiing and lodge operation makes financial sense, but her attraction to the owner doesn’t. He’s everything she’s come to hate—a man who makes his living chasing adventure.

Jake Hartman knows Maureen Shannon is off limits. She’s an investor in his company—a silent investor who’s never silent. Worse, she’s a mom who’s beautiful, intelligent and makes him feel more alive than he’s ever known. A self-confirmed bachelor, he finds himself uneasily contemplating a very different partnership.

But will Maureen be able to let go of her past and build a future with a man who never imagined becoming a husband or a father?

My thoughts on the book:

I really enjoyed this story I am sure this is the finally for this series and if that is the case then the author went out with a bang with this one. You know a twist is coming but you are not sure what the author is going to throw at you with this one that was for sure. I Maureen my heart broke for her and some of the things she faced were tough. I liked Jake he came off a little immature but you do see him grow in this story. Holly I would have loved to see her get a hard talking to, ugh the amount of disrespect was a lot, but I see in the end why the author did what she did. Over all this is a good clean read and I really did enjoy it and had a hard time putting it down. I received a complimentary copy of this book. A Perfect Amish Romance Shelley Shepard Gray

5 out of 5 stars

  Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Shelley Shepard Gray comes a new series that follows a bookmobile driver-turned-matchmaker who learns that her Amish patrons need a whole lot more than just new books to read.

Aaron Coblentz has a secret: he’s been studying to take the GED to get promoted at work. But he can’t let his Amish family know, not when his older brother already left the faith just a year after getting baptized, practically crippling the family. When Aaron asks bookmobile librarian Sarah Anne Miller for some additional study guides, she does one better. She arranges for Kayla Kaufman to be his tutor.

Kayla has a secret, too. Her life has been turned upside down in a matter of months—her mother’s death propelled her father into a constant state of depression, and unable to deal with his erratic behavior, her longtime boyfriend has broken things off. But despite losing those she holds most dear, she hasn’t completely given up on love. Only now she seeks to find it in the sweet romance novels she secretly checks out from Sarah Anne’s bookmobile.

As Aaron and Kayla’s study sessions start to feel less like work and more like pleasure, they soon realize that happily ever afters don’t only happen in fiction; sometimes they happen when you least expect it.

From a “skilled storyteller who reminds the reader that faith can help us survive the ups and downs in life” (RT Book Reviews), A Perfect Amish Romance is a moving and deftly told story that paints a heartwarming picture of the magic of true love.

My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book, I felt like the book was more geared towards a younger reader (teenagers), however I feel like as an adult reader it was still a very fun read. I liked Kayla she was very independent and very strong willed willing to keep fighting now matter what she faced. Aaron he came off kind of immature at first but I felt like the more you read he seems to grow up a lot. Joel and Tiny was fun to read about as well and you can tell they were both immature but looking to grow up as well. I LOVED Sarah she was hands down my favorite she has a heart for everyone that comes into her life weather big or small, long or short. She truly felt like an angel/grandmother to so many in this book while trying to find more about her self. I really don’t think I can say anything negative about this book over all it was just a really good read and draws you in and you want to find out what is going to happen next. This is a good clean read as well.

This Cowboy of Mine R.C. Ryan

 Description:

New York Times bestselling author R.C. Ryan takes readers on a wild ride with a strong heroine who must trust the cowboy trying to save her life.

A cowboy with a wild side

Kirby Regan isn’t opposed living on the edge. After all, she just quit her career in Washington, D.C., so she could move back to Wyoming and buy her family’s ranch. But hiking the Tetons after dark during a snowstorm goes beyond being adventurous, especially when Kirby’s boss warns her that an escaped convict is at large. Sheltering in a cave seems the safest option to ride out the blizzard-until Kirby realizes it’s already occupied . . . by a ruggedly handsome cowboy.

Like the mustangs he treats, veterinarian and rancher Casey Merrick prefers to live wild and free, which is why a relationship is not in the cards for him. He doesn’t mind sharing his space with a gorgeous stranger, as long as they can both keep their distance-a task that begins to seem impossible as the attraction between them heats up. But before they can worry about the spark smoldering between them, Casey must find a way to protect Kirby from nature’s most ruthless conditions . . . and a convicted killer on the loose.

Includes the bonus novel Wildflower Ranch, a continuation of Daisies in the Canyon, by New York Times bestselling author Carolyn Brown!

My thoughts on the book:

I read the first book of the series and was happy when this one came out. I was glad to see the Merrick family back and I loved catch up with them. I really have high hopes that Liz will get her own story one day because just like in book one this book opens up to Liz a little more. I really liked Casey he knew what he wanted and he went after it with guns a blazing and nothing was going to stop him. He had a big heart for helping injured souls. Man Kirby was not what I expected she was a pistol as well. She is broken but comes back to Wyoming to find healing and hopes to find home again. There is some graphic details towards the end of this story, there is also sexual content in this book so may not be suitable for all. I really did enjoy reading this book over all and had a hard time putting it down wanting to find out what happened next. I really can’t wait to see who grandma Meg is cooking up for Jonah…. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Nanny Arrangement Rachel Harris

  Description:

Soft-spoken and shy Hannah Fisher is determined to make the man she’s loved her entire life finally see her as a woman. With the help of a makeover and the convenient forced proximity of a tour bus, she vows to win her best friend Deacon’s heart.

Former bad boy and current fiddle player Deacon Latrell has the world at his fingertips: a new gig with a famous band, plus his best friend on tour as his son’s nanny. Life couldn’t get much sweeter. Now if only he could stop imagining kissing the daylights out of his childhood BFF…

With one friend set on pushing the boundaries and the other afraid to rock the boat, one thing’s for certain—their story would make one heck of a country song. Each book in the Country Blues series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.Series Order:Book #1: You’re Still the OneBook #2: The Nanny Arrangement

My thoughts on the book:

When I first started this book I really was not a fan I felt like the first few chapters read like a journal entry and came off a little to “wordy”. However once Hannah and Deacon met up with the band the whole thing changed and it got good. I liked Hannah she was a sweet spirit so unsure of herself but ready to step out of her comfort zone and take on the world. Deacon was some one you wanted to love to hate, he has a broken spirit but he wanted to do what was best for his son and would stop at nothing to make that happen. I loved Arabelle and Sherry they are the best kind of cheerleaders a girl can ask for. I did not read book one but I will say I hope to find out what happens with the other band members. Over all this book was a really fun read and I can’t wait for more. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes and descriptions of sexual content. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Thankfully in Love Anna J. Stewart, Kayla Perrin, Melinda Curtis, Cari Lynn Webb

 Description:

USA Today bestselling romance authors come together for Thanksgiving to tell the stories of four women who have not had the best experiences with the men they have dated in their pasts. With the help of family and loved ones this holiday season, can they learn to open their hearts one more time? If they can dare to make the leap, they could find themselves finally, thankfully in love…

There’s no place like home, especially during Thanksgiving. After spending ten years as an officer and analyst with a special division in a federal cyber-investigation, Tripp Atsila is on the brink of burnout. He returns home and meets Parker Rutledge, who changed her name and moved to a small town hoping to leave the damage her ex-husband caused behind. Now someone’s found her; someone who wants to make her pay for her ex-husband’s crimes. Can she trust Tripp? Can she trust anyone?

Miranda Cox isn’t looking forward to heading home for Thanksgiving. She’d raved to everyone that Matthew was the one; now she has yet another failed relationship under her belt. Despite working as a translator in Ottawa, and loving traveling abroad, she’s thirty-four and still single. Little does she know that a chance encounter at Union Station in Toronto with her childhood friend, Taz Morrison, will lead to a very special holiday. Is it finally their time?

Chef Drew Barnett has been hired to create the perfect Thanksgiving for a potential restaurant investor and is forced to work in the client’s guesthouse kitchen due to a power outage in the main house. Jilted bride and food critic Claire Rothchild is pet-sitting a friend’s St. Bernard in the same guesthouse. Drew doesn’t know what to make of a food critic in his kitchen, just as Claire doesn’t know how to stop interfering with his dishes and passing tidbits to a mooching pooch. Is this a recipe for a Dog-Gone Holiday? Or for love?

Born with a degenerative eye disease, photographer Kelsey Thomas knows two things: she will be blind within five years and her family wants to see her married and settled first. Then Kelsey’s boyfriend breaks up with her one week before she planned to introduce him to her family at her grandmother’s island commitment ceremony. At the resort bar, she meets Dr. Noah Lawson. He spends his life inside his lab developing cutting-edge techniques to slow the progression of vision loss. He’s been offered funding with strings—save the eyesight of a relative of a wealthy investor—but he’s reluctant to agree. Noah is smitten by Kelsey—so much so that he agrees to be her fake wedding date for the Thanksgiving holidays. Too late, he realizes her connection to his potential investor. Is this a set-up? Or fate?

My thoughts on the book:

No Place Like Home- Anna J Stewart: Sometimes coming home is all you need and I think Tripp found that out in this story. He was hard headed and burnt out but also ready to take on what was given. Parker is a fighter and also ready to take on what is handed to her. Over al this story was super cute a no a quick read

Second Chances- Kayla Perrin: This story why it’s totally predictable it’s so cute. Remembering your first love and wondering what could have been. I liked Melanie she was your typical nosy sister but also wanted what was best for Miranda. Taz came off a bit intense but he seem to have a huge heart. Cute story over all!

Dog-Gone Holiday- Melinda Curtis: I mean dogs can talk and we can hear right?!! I loved Olly he was so cut and so full of personality for sure. I liked Drew he kept sticking his foot in his mouth but he was always fun to laugh with. Claire just wanted what was busy for Olly and you could tell her love for him throughout the story. This story was a clean read and fun!
Love Guides the Way- Cari Lynn Webb:Nothing good comes from keeping secrets and Kelsey’s family seems to have a big one in this story. I liked Kelsey she faced life without her vision and she took the time she had left to enjoy life through the rest of her vision. I liked Noah he had a big heart and wanted to help everyone he could not matter what. I loved Gam she got her way not matter what a was a pistol if we all could be like her when we get older.

Over all this story was super cute and a fun read.I think the only thing I didn’t like about all these stories where they were too short and I was left wanting so much more. Over all this was a fun story and I could not put it down so worth the read and will put you in the thankful spirit.

Montana Christmas Magic Kaylie Newell

 Description:

Can a rescue dog help two lost souls find love at Christmas?

All accountant Griffin Cole wants for Christmas is stability. After spending his childhood traveling the world with his one-hit wonder rocker dad, he loves his quiet and unremarkable life in Marietta. Then the beautiful Raelyssa Woods knocks on his door. Her bold spirit immediately turns his predictable life upside down, and suddenly Griffin wants to ask Santa for so much more.

Rae Woods loves running her café in the small Montana town she calls home. She specializes in comfort food because she loves spreading joy to everyone she meets—two-footed or four. But after she impulsively takes in a homeless dog she names Noel, her big heart lands her in bigger trouble when her landlord threatens to toss her out. Grasping at holiday straws, she remembers a cute accountant who owes her a favor—and she happens to know he’s got a fenced yard and hidden soft spot.

When Griffin reluctantly agrees to foster Noel, he inadvertently sets in motion several Christmas miracles that neither he nor Rae could have ever seen coming.

My thoughts on the book:

I loved Noel the author did a great job at her personality just jumping off the pages. I really liked Rae she just had such a big heart and she just seems like someone you would love to know. Griffin has his problems but in this story he felt just as equal as a hero in this story. I really liked the small town story of this book it makes you picture yourself there. I liked the relationship with the brothers even though they didn’t appear a whole lot they seemed like no matter what they were always there for each other. Over all this was a fun and quick read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My thoughts on the book:

The match makers/ Cookie makers are back and still up to no good!!! If you have been following this series or not the friends are back and some are set in there ways and others are ready to make some matches among there children. I love amish books and how simple of a life the authors portray and in this book it was very much the same it was a breath of fresh air with all the craziness going on in our world. I really enjoyed the sisters and how even though they are separate people how it was easy to lump them together into one for so many. I liked how the heart of the story was never judge a book by its cover because you will never get to know there person if you do. I also liked how the author kept this story a good clean read and making it suitable for all readers. Overall this is a fun read and well worth it. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
