Snowflakes over Starr’s Fall Kate Hewitt

Description:

As the stars twinkle and the snow drifts over the town… someone’s about to find the magic she didn’t even know she’d been missing…

Jenna has lived in Starr’s Fall for most of her life, and has run the general store for over ten years. Secretly she might dream of love and romance, but she’s happy as she is. Really.

That is, until Starr’s Fall’s newest resident—ex-New Yorker, millionaire investment banker—Jack Wexler breezes into Jenna’s store, seemingly furious they don’t stock smoked salmon. Jenna is as amused as she is annoyed. Who is this ridiculous guy, and doesn’t he realize he’s not in Manhattan anymore?

Jack meanwhile can’t believe he lost it in public. But ever since being forced to leave his high-flying career to focus on his health, he’s not been himself. What’s more, the last person he’d expected to be attracted to is the shrew of a storekeeper he’s just encountered… which he might have called Jenna, in a moment of temper…

Neither of Jenna or Jack’s ideal of romance includes these sorts of furious sparks flying. But when they’re both roped in to organizing the town’s Winter Wonderland parade, they’re forced to work together. And as Christmas approaches – will two opposites merely attract? Or, in magical Starr’s Fall, could they fall in love for keeps?

A perfect, Christmas-set, enemies-to-lovers, small town romance, perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber and Virgin River, from million-copy bestselling author, Kate Hewitt.

My Review:

I will say I liked the simplicity of the way this author writes. This is the second book I have read in this series and from this author. I really liked the small town feel of Starr’s fall you get the grouch, the matchmakers, the gossips and so on so on, I love that while everyone is in everyones business they will all watch out for each other if someone from the outside comes in and tries to hurt one. I was not a huge fan a Jenna in the first book I read I felt like she was so immature and in this story I felt like her actions made a lot more sense. I Liked Jack I felt like he met his match with Jenna I felt like while the two of them were water and oil they also could me sugar and cinnamon. I liked how big Jack’s heart is when he allow people to see who he is. It was also fun to catch up with the others from the other books and I really enjoy the sassiness of each character. I will say in some ways I did feel that the author did over explain certain situations which made the book a little wordy. Overall the author kept this a clean read and it was a worth it read for me.

Description:

Home is a refuge—but is it always the right choice?

Hannah Brooks left home eight summers ago to help her friend Beth hide a surprise pregnancy. Their unplanned adventure also helped her escape from beneath her fire chief father’s thumb. Now Beth has died and Hannah faces a brewing custody battle for Noah, the boy she helped raise from birth. It’s time to return to Bourbon Falls and make amends with the family she loves and needs.

Chase Redding finally gave up hope of ever seeing Hannah again, and is focused on being part owner of Oak Barrel Farms and climbing the ranks in his firefighting career. But amid their budding romance at Brooks Farm, family tensions resurface and the custody suit takes a turn for the worst. It’s going to take a little summertime magic to keep Hannah and Chase’s happily ever after from slipping away a second time.

My Review:

I haven’t read anything else in the series so I not sure what characters in this book may be in the others, that being said it wasn’t hard to follow that characters in the book. I Like Chase he was a no nonsense kind of guy. He faced some things in life and he just seem to take everything on the chin and just let it all flow off his back. He just seemed super laid back and just overall was really fun character to read about.  Hannah at first was a fun read as well but I found sometimes that she came off like a martyr and just woah is me. I loved Aunt Faye she just was so sweet and so loving she truly won me over and she just felt like someone special to so many people. Overall I really did enjoy this read and had a hard time putting it down. There is sexual content so this may not be suitable for all.

Last Dance with the Texas Bull Rider Rebecca Crowley

 Description:
She was always the ‘perfect’ Star—until she fell…
Jessa Star danced her way to the perfect ballet career, and when injury cut it short, she returned to Last Stand, Texas to open a dance studio—the perfect back-up plan. She’s convinced everyone she’s perfectly happy and perfectly fulfilled, and she’s confident the secret that could blow up her life is perfectly concealed—until her wildly imperfect bull-rider husband careens into town.
Happy-go-lucky Caleb “Calamity” Ross may not be a top-tier rodeo cowboy, but he doesn’t mind. His life on the road is fun, free, and fast enough to outrun his toxic upbringing. But when a bad wreck at the Last Stand Rodeo puts him in the hospital, he wakes to find his runaway bride by his side—the one woman who might matter enough to stop him in his rambling tracks.
Their marriage was a joke, but there’s nothing funny about their connection, or the threats they pose to each other’s futures. The clock is ticking on their wedding bells, and they’ll have to decide whether to say ‘I do’ again—or say goodbye.

My Review:
I was excited to read this book  because the first few were such a fun reads and I couldn’t wait to see what the sisters were up too. I like Jessa while you can see she struggled with self confidence like most women do but it totally made her feel 100% relatable. She was also a fighter she fought for what she felt was right to her bones. Caleb had to grow on me some while I love a good cowboy in a story I felt like he just did not fit that tough exterior, honestly it felt like he had nothing else in life so he fell back on the one thing that would be an adventure. Eventually his shell was cracked and you got to see the real him for who he was, which was this fun loving guy with a big heart. Overall I really did enjoy the story. There is sexual content in the story so it may not be suitable for all. Also I loved Amy she’s a spitfire and one not to mess with.
Spoil alert:
I will say the situation that has played out in the other two books with the aunt and cousin from the girls mom’s was kind of anti-climatic to me.

Their chemistry is undeniable, but as the election looms, they’ll need to decide if their fake alliance is real and where their loyalties lie.

My Review:

You take two people from opposite sides of the “track” throw them together and you get this fun read. I liked Georgia and her sisters, Georgia seemed like one of those people who if pushed into a corner it was only then she would come out fighting with all her might. Her and her sisters were everything to each other and there was not stopping them from helping each other out or calling each other out. Cy while some times he whined about his upbringing he wasn’t annoying about it, it truly shaped the adult he was. He wanted what was best for his brother and nothing was going to stop him from doing that including the law. I loved that Cy gave push back to everyone it showed he was a fighter and would do what’s it s right. Overall this book was a fun read the characters were always up to something and the author throw a twist in to keep things lively and keep you guessing. There is sexual content in the story so it may no be suitable for all but it was worth the read.

My Review:

This is a new to me author and this book did not disappoint at all. I really loved that this was set in Alaska and the author did an good job making you feel like you were in the story. I like True there was not messing with her that girl was going to protect who she loves and cares about at all cost. I really liked her sidekick Bonnie because every person needs someone in their corner cheering them on. I liked Xavier he protected his brothers at all cost, he loved his little family that his mom created  and would do whatever needed to be done to protect them. His relationship with his grandmother and  Red was trying at times but he always did what he felt was right, he had the biggest heart and would take everyone at face value. My Review:

I really liked Mary she was this spit fire and she really was reserved but had an amazing group of friends and family that had her back and would help her with anything. She also knew when to fight for what was right. I was not a real big fan of Clay I felt he tried to be the martyr the whole story and after a while he just became annoying. I LOVED Cathy she hands down made this book, she had me laughing and also gasping at things that was coming out of her mouth, you defiantly knew where you stood with her for sure. I also loved Mary’s sister’s they were so fun. Overall this was a fun read and a clean read, however there are some very tough topics discussed so may not be suitable for all readers.

My Review:

The sisters are back!!! I swear I never know there the author is going to take Vivie and Helen on there next journey/adventure but oh my are the always up to no good. I loved getting to read Willow’s story it was a tough one that’s for sure. There was a bomb shell that was dropped and it just broke my heart for her. I really Liked Noah he was this broken person with some much to loose yet so willing to accept Willow and Drew into his life. His story was another one where the author draws you into the situation and has away of getting to the heart. I have to say this series so far has been really good the author is not holding back on tough subjects and faces in a way that most struggle to but in the end come out with there head above the water. Overall there was a fun read there was some curse words and the mention of sex so that may not be suitable for all but its well worth the read and such fun characters I truly can’t wait for more.

Oliver suspects Gemma is taking on him and other projects to avoid dealing with her heartbreak. But the truth is that with each passing day, Gemma is discovering that her real life and her real love might not be where she thought it was.

My Review:

I loved coming back to the Bramble house you just never know what characters you are going to encounter and this book did not disappoint in that. You had a runaway bride, Gemma but in this case she was running more or less to find who she was and ending a relationship that was headed no where was the cherry on top. She has the biggest heart and she just fit right in with the town of Marietta. Oliver was on a mission to connect with a sister he knew nothing about but was determined to have a relationship with her and her son since he had not other family. He too had a big heart and wanted what was best for his nephew and sister but also would did not want to hurt them. I loved the Caraways where a fun bunch but the secret that came out about them just drove home how life is precious and what a big heart Amy and Chet have for their visitors. Overall this was a fun read as well as a clean read making it suitable for all and well worth it.

He’s quickly smitten and finally has a glimpse of a family life he lost long ago. Does he dare attempt to lay down roots? And if so, how can he convince Ava and her protective sons he’s after her heart, not her money?

My Review:

I have really enjoyed this series its been so fun reading about this family and I was so excited to read this one. I have loved Ava in every book she has the biggest heart and the kindest of spirits. She shine even more in this book but the also was a lot more vulnerable in this story. I really liked North and even though he was new to the family he did not mince words. He was a mystery for sure throughout but you could see he too had a big heart and wanted what was best for Ava and this family. I loved catching up with the boys and their women. I will say there was a comment made in the book that had nothing to do with anything if felt off and felt like the author was trying to make a political statement in a sense and it just felt like it didn’t belong. Overall though I really did enjoy this book and it was a clean read and well worth the read if you haven’t started reading this series I would recommend it so fun.

Each book in the Blossom Glen series is STANDALONE:
* The Sweetheart Deal
* The Sweetheart Fix
* The Sweetheart Crush

My Review:

I liked Viv I feel like with her it was what you see is what you get, but she struggled with some insecurities that she kept hidden from those close to her, she also didn’t let them to stop her from following through helping those she loved. she was the little, big sister everyone wanted in there life. Logan was someone who I really liked from the beginning, however that did not last for me. The was a part in the book I so wanted to yell at him, however how it played out and who called him out at me laughing so hard and then he got back on my good side again. I love the relationship with the sisters I loved how close they are and how they always had each others back. I loved catching up with the other sisters as well. The author makes the characters so fun and relatable and I would say the book overall is worth the read.
