A Royal Second Chance Summer Viv Royce

Description:

Prince Nicolas is looking for a priceless royal heirloom. Trying to stay under the radar, he keeps that he’s a prince secret—especially from the cute antiques dealer he asks to help him. The longer it takes, the more time they get to spend together, though no matter how attracted he is to Lizzie, love is certainly not an option for the heir to the crown of Belfort.

Lizzie Cates fled her family’s new-found fame and fortune because life in the spotlight wasn’t for her. She loves her small town, where the most exciting thing on the schedule is the car parade for the Fourth of July. That’s just how she likes it, until Nicolas comes along. Lizzie finds herself falling for the caring man who craves the country and small-town life as much as she does.

Except Nicolas has a secret that will shatter both their dreams…

My thoughts on the book:

So I have never read anything by this author or in this series and if the other books in the series are half as good as this one then I can’t wait to read them. I could not put this book down the author has a way of drawing you and where you loose all sense of time and you need to know what’s going to happen. I was a fan of Nicolas for most of the book but there was on part where I literally wanted to just reach into the book and punch him…. UGH!! Hands down one of my favorite characters in the book was Ms. Thornton, her story was so powerful and just seem to leave its mark on your heart for sure. I understand why the author wrote her, but to me it just seemed like so much more. This book was a good clean read and was a quick read. I so want more. So worth grabbing it you won’t be disappointed. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Extraordinary Dreams Nikki Lynn Barrett

Description:

Age is just a number…
Thirty-four year old Avery Bennett is about to begin a new chapter of her life. As the lead singer of her band, Baby Stetson, she struggles with guilt about leaving home. She has a suspicion her parents aren’t telling her something important. She’s also got a one and a half year old daughter and wonders if she should go on tour, even though her husband is completely supportive.
Dreams are about to come true…
Avery isn’t the only one struggling. Problems arise on tour with every single member. Rumors about past relationships, self doubt problems about fitting in, and stage presence. One band member has to work through his paranoia to confront his past, which at any time could come back to haunt him now that they’re in the spotlight.
Will this summer tour opening up for a mega country star be full of extraordinary dreams coming true, or will this be a true test of strength that could push even the strongest person past their limits?

My thoughts on the book:

I loved that this book was the bands view of what was taking place while reading Skyrocket and Kyra and Matt’s story. I loved this book it was so hard to put down and it was a super quick read. In the end of this book I was very torn because I feel like this book could be the end of the series right now, however I also feel like the author sucks you in and has you wanting, as saying stick around the best is yet to come. I love that this read was a good clean read and you got to catch up on so many fun characters. You really can not go wrong with this book or this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

My thoughts on the book:

I am truly loving this series so far. I just can with this book though. The author takes two broken people who both feel very unlovable for very different reasons and sends you on a journey to find there happy ever after. This book had my emotions all over the place the author has you laughing and crying and literally you don’t want to put the book down because you want to know what’s going to happen next. I loved the twin they were feisty and they were your typical sisters they fought with each other but at the end of the day they had each others back. I really loved this book, I loved that the author kept it clean and its suitable for all. This book was quick read and you won’t regret grabbing it so worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

My thoughts on the book:

This book was really hard to put down. This book was also hard to read in a good way the book was very emotional. The author had a way of reaching into your heart and just getting right to the heart of the matter as well. I can honestly say there isn’t one thing that I didn’t like about this book it was so good. I loved the brotherhood between Jackson and his firefighting friends. I loved how Lexie every though she faced some really hard things she was a fighter and would not stop fighting for what she felt in her heart. I like how the author took a group of friends and made them feel more like family. I felt like I was catching up with friends. This book is a clean read and suitable for all.

An Everyday Hero Laura Trentham

Description:

From award-winning author Laura Trentham comes An Everyday Hero, an emotionally layered novel about redemption, second chances and discovering that life is worth fighting for.

At thirty, Greer Hadley never expected to be forced home to Madison, Tennessee with her life and dreams of being a songwriter up in flames. To make matters worse, a series of bad decisions and even crappier luck lands her community service hours at a nonprofit organization that aids veterans and their families. Greer cannot fathom how she’s supposed to use music to help anyone deal with their trauma and loss when the one thing that brought her joy has failed her.

When Greer meets fifteen-year-old Ally Martinez, her plans to stay detached and do as little as possible get thrown away. New to town and dealing with the death of her father in action, she hides her emotions behind a mask of bitterness and sarcasm, but Greer is able to see past it and recognizes pieces of who she once was in Ally. The raw and obvious talent she possesses could take her to the top and Greer vows to make sure life’s negativities don’t derail Ally’s potential.

After Greer is assigned a veteran to help, she’s not surprised Emmett Lawson, the town’s golden boy, followed his family’s legacy. What leaves her shocked is the shell of a man who believes he doesn’t deserve anyone’s help. A breakthrough with Ally reminds Greer that no one is worth giving up on. So she shows up one day with his old guitar, and meets Emmett’s rage head on with her stubbornness. When a situation with Ally becomes dire, the two of them must become a team to save her—and along the way they might just save themselves too.

My thoughts on the book:

This book is very different then any book I have read in a while. That’s a good thing the whole story just grabs your attention and sucks you in and before you know it the books almost over. The subject matter is tough with a young girl dealing with the loss of a parent and a guy coming home from war and learning to cope. There’s also so much more to it. I really loved Ally it was simply hard not too. The author will have you laughing and crying through out sometimes on the same page. I felt I was connecting with friends not a bunch of fictional characters. I really enjoyed all the character in the book but the cop I wish in the end Greer would have kicked him where it counts and he would have lost his job. lol!!! There is some adult language and situations through out some may not be suitable for all readers. Overall an amazing read and well worth it, in the end I wanted so much more I just was not read to be doneI received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

My thoughts on the book:

This book was amazing I really had a hard time putting it down. The author deals with some tragic situations. I honestly feel like the situations in this book could be totally be pulled from the headlines. I loved Brooke and her friends they all seemed to have a heart for others no matter what they are facing. I loved how Brooke was able to face some of her fears and keep fighting for what was right. I liked Asher, while sometimes it seemed more that Brooke was saving him, he always seemed to have everyones best interest at heart. Now can we please talk about Lyric she was my favorite her and Sarah need to be friends and have there stories told, they both this take no prisoner attitude in them and will stop at nothing. I liked that this book was a good clean read and that even thought there were tough subjects the author kept you going from beginning to end.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Born to Be a Cowboy R. C. Ryan

Description:

This New York Times bestselling author delivers a “page-turning romance” (Nora Roberts) about a woman in jeopardy who finds protection–and love–in the arms of a small-town cowboy.
After running wild in his youth, Finn Monroe is now on the other side of the law as the local attorney. Between his practice and working at his family’s ranch, his days aren’t as exciting as they used to be–until Jessica Blair steps into his office. Gorgeous and determined, Jessie has a hunch her aunt is in trouble, and Finn is her last hope. As someone who relies on facts rather than feelings, Finn is skeptical. But it can’t hurt to do a little digging.
Jessie knows her aunt, and there is no way she would disappear on an “extended honeymoon” after hastily marrying a smooth-talking cowboy. Something is wrong, and Jessie is going to find out what. As soon as she and Finn start poking around, it becomes clear someone is willing to go to great lengths to keep them from the truth. But as the danger grows, so does their attraction. With both their lives on the line, Finn will discover just how far he’ll go to keep Jessie safe.

My thoughts on the book:
What away to end a series, but with a bang. The author did an amazing job and keeping you in the edge of your seat the whole book. I have really enjoyed every book in this series and this book didn’t disappoint. I love how the author took a group of “misfits” and made them family and made them the most important to each other no matter what. I really like Jessie and how she fit with the group but also that she was strong independent and wouldn’t take nothing from no one and no one was going to stand in her way of protecting her aunt. I was not a fan of Chief Tyler I so wanted to reach in the book and strangle him…ugh. There is one sex scene in this book. Overall this book was amazing and hard to put down, I really wish there was more to come, your seriously can’t go wrong with this book or this series.

Baby Stetson Nikki Lynn Barrett

Description:

In small Texas towns, strangers come and go…

Left in a Stetson hat on the steps of the local bed and breakfast, Avery Callimer came into the world on a wing and a prayer. Raised by loving adoptive parents, she’s never lacked for love … only the knowledge of her past.
By day she works at the inn, but by night … Avery comes alive as the lead singer in a band. Life was good … stable, until new guests blew into town.

Some strangers come with secrets and lies.

Lucas Bennett is one such stranger. Drifting from one mess to another has left him jaded. Doesn’t matter the dramas are never his doing. Giving it one last shot to make a fresh start lands him Harmony’s Echo, Texas and smack dab in front of the tantalizing Avery.

Every time they’re near each other, things heat up like a brushfire on a dry Texas prairie.
He’s intent to keep his distance, but finds it difficult to ignore the burn Avery’s ignited within. Secrets have followed him. Secrets he doesn’t want Avery to know.

Maybe, after the dust settles and the smoke clears, love can bloom with a fresh start.

My thoughts on the book:
Hands down Jameson was one of my favorites in this book. I liked how the author kept things with him and Avery, no matter what they faced their friendship was first and foremost. The twist the author through in I saw something coming but that caught me out of left field. I liked Lucas and I liked how he had his own Demons he was facing. What I loved about this book was that the author didn’t make one single character “perfect”, yet they all seemed perfect for each other and the trials they faced together. This book does have some sex and cursing so may not be suitable for all. Hands down this author did not disappoint in this book at all. I can’t wait to read Jameson’s story next
