But when her first patient turns out to be her first-crush-turned-nemesis Colton Walker, Sara starts wondering if home really is where the heart is….

My thoughts on the book:

Story 1:The town comes together to help one person in need every year no matter what the person faces they will help. We need more of this in our world. I loved the community as a whole in this book. Alex was on this journey to solve a cold case so it add a mystery to the story which was fun. However I did find the story quite predictable, I wish there would have been a little more keeps you guessing going on in the story. The story over all was a good clean read and was a quick read for sure. I loved Grandma Baker hands down one of my favorite characters she has a way of speaking her mind in the most loving way and still getting her point access. I would say over all this book was worth the read and puts you in the Christmas spirit.

Story 2:

I loved this book, I loved how nothing was held back. This is such a sweet love story. I can relate to Sara as having a family member who has dementia, that being said even if that’s not the case the characters were so down to earth and I really felt like I could relate with any of them.  I loved how the author had a way of getting to the heart and also had fun moments throughout. I loved Carmen she was just the constant icebreaker throughout and you truly never knew what was coming out of her mouth. This book does have some adult language/scenes but was a super fun read. I truly loved this book and I am not sure if this will become part of a series but if it does I can’t wait for more. You really can’t go wrong with this amazing love story.I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley, I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Strands of Truth Colleen Coble

Description:

Suspense, romance, and generational secrets meld in this engrossing new novel from USA TODAY bestselling author Colleen Coble.

Strands of Harper Taylor’s childhood are resurfacing—but will the truth save her . . . or pull her under?

Harper Taylor is used to being alone— after all, she grew up in one foster home after another. Oliver Jackson finally took her under his wing when she was a runaway teenager, and now Harper pours her marine biology knowledge into Oliver’s pen shell research. But she’s never stopped wishing for a family of her own.

So when a DNA test reveals a half-sister living just two hours away, Harper is both hopeful and nervous. Over warm cinnamon rolls, Harper and Annabelle find striking similarities in their stories. Is it just a coincidence that both their mothers died tragically, without revealing Harper and Annabelle’s father’s name?

Oliver’s son Ridge still sees Harper as a troubled teen even all these years later. But when Oliver is attacked, Ridge and Harper find themselves working together to uncover dangerous secrets that threaten to destroy them all. They must unravel her past before they can have any hope for the future.

Suspense, romance, and generational secrets meld in this engrossing new novel from USA TODAY bestselling author Colleen Coble.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was so intense right off the bat there wasn’t a thing to loose. This book draws you in from page one and leaves you guessing all the way to the very end. You think you figure it out and then the author throws a wrench into it and makes you second guess if you are right. I really loved Harper my heart broke for her while her childhood stands true for so many in our world it was almost like she was right there in person telling you her story. I loved Ridge he had his guard up but he wasn’t a jerk you wanted to punch each thing he did and faced you kind of understood why so you felt for him as well. I wish the author would have end the book with a follow up on some of the characters kind of makes me wonder what happened with a few of the big key players in the book. I had a love hate relationship with Willow but I would love to know more of her story. Over all this book was amazing, clean read. If you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your toes this book will not disappoint. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Rescued by the Perfect Cowboy Melinda Curtis

Description:

She came to Second Chance

he took a chance on love

Art curator Sophie Monroe is overwhelmed with starting a new business and raising four-year-old twins. Needing help, the divorced mom hires cowboy Zeke Roosevelt as her interim nanny! French lessons and bookish pursuits give way to riding and roping. And scholarly Sophie falls hard for the strong, practical cowboy. Until Zeke reveals a secret that may prevent this temporary posse from becoming a permanent family.

My thoughts on the book:

I love this series, Every time the author releases a new book for this series and I get a chance to grab it and read it I am never disappointed. It truly feels like I am coming home or even catching up with friends. The author took a group of stuck up people and made them feel normal average people. I loved how Sophie had to truly find who she was and everything she new life to be was questioned. I loved how Zeke had to reach into his own life and show those around him who he was in order to find who he was. (don’t worry I am not giving away anything with those statements) I really so badly want to read Shane’s story he made quite an appearance in this one being Sophie’s twin and each time he does make an appearance in a book I want to know more and more about him. I loved how the author kept the story line going with so many characters yet kept bring the focus back to Sophie and Zeke that I did not feel like there was to much going on. Really fun read and a total clean read which is nice so that its suitable for all readers. I received an advance copy of this book and I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Off the Market Audrey Wick (Texas BBQ Brothers, #2)

Description:

Can the man who saved the day win her heart?

Quinn LaFayette is in her inaugural year as library special programs director of Last Stand, but when the kickoff performance for the children’s summer program goes terribly wrong, she has to save face as well as her job. She has a surprise advocate in Cole, whom she did her best to ignore in school. Seven years has only made Cole more appealing, but Quinn is determined to resist the sparks that fly between them because they are too different.

Restaurant owner Cole Hutchinson is no bookworm, but thanks to his fast-thinking antics, he ends up saving the day at the library and earning Quinn’s praise in the process. He’s tempted to seek more, but he’s juggling plenty of female attention from gracing the June edition of Modern Texas magazine featuring barbeque. Cole’s not interested in revisiting a woman from his past, but there’s something about Quinn that he can’t quite ignore.

Can Cole prove that opposites really do attract?

My thoughts on the book:

I was so happy to get my hand on this book after reading the first book in the series. The brothers are back and they are still “fighting” on who’s right in the battle of business, they have that love, hate relationship most siblings have…. I really was glad to get to read Cole’s story and what a big heart he had. I loved Quinn and her feistiness yet her heart of gold for all things books and kids. The author leaves you hungry for both food and for more in the end that’s for sure. I liked how in both books in the series the author added her perusal touch of recipes you read about in the book. I loved that this story was a clean read and suitable for all. This book was truly one you feel like you are catching up with friends and you can’t wait to see what’s happening next. Grab this quick read you won’t regret it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Includes the bonus novel Then There Was You by Miranda Liasson!

My thoughts on the book:

Anytime I have ever read anything by this author I just never know what I am going to get, and it’s always a fun surprise. This book was very much the same way. The author held nothing back, in this book she has the characters face some very tough situations and where I have read some books will just glaze over the topics, not this author she has the characters take it head on and its a no holds bar. I like that while Lia and Noah are both facing the past and trying to tackle their own demons neither is so wound up in there self that they can’t help other in the small town of Magnolia Harbor. in every small town you have the “gossip” biddies and they very much were active in this story which added fun and craziness to the story. I so cant wait to read more from Magnolia Harbor after reading this book I can’t decide who’s story I want to read next I feel there are a ton more to come. You really can’t go wrong with this book grab it you won’t regret it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs by Annie Rains

Description:

A heartwarming novella in the Sweetwater Springs series from USA Today bestselling author Annie Rains, perfect for fans of RaeAnne Thayne and Debbie Mason.

If Lacy Shaw could have one wish, it’s that the past would stay in the past. And with her high school reunion coming up, she has no intention of reliving the worst four years of her life. Especially when all she has to show for the last decade is how the shy bookworm blossomed into…the shy town librarian. Ditching the event seems the best option until a blistering hot alternative roars into Lacy’s life. Perhaps riding into the reunion on the back of Paris Montgomery’s motorcycle will show her classmates how much she really has changed…

While growing up as a foster kid, Paris Montgomery only felt at home in Sweetwater Springs, which is why he picked the small town to start over after his divorce. He can’t afford to ruin this refuge with another doomed relationship – especially one with a woman who is his total opposite. But when the town’s sweet librarian offers to help him reconnect with his foster dad, he finds they have more in common than he thought. Both are about to discover that home is where the heart is.

My thoughts on the book:

I was so MAD to see this book end.  I absolutely LOVED it. I loved are quick the author grabs your attention and keeps your attention from beginning to the end. I really found Lacy’s story so sweet and how big of a heart she had for not just her family but those who came into her library they all seemed important to her. Paris has a “wall” up but not so high that just the right person couldn’t reach his heart. This book was seriously one of the sweetest read and probably one of my favorite reads in a while. You really can’t go wrong with this fun read.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. “Laura Trentham creates a romance that is both extremely sensual and phenomenal.”
Fresh Fiction

My thoughts on the book:

This book was super cute read. If I had describe it I would say it’s like a fairy tale with a twist. I really loved the relationship between Isabel and Rose and I also loved the small town, as someone who grew up in a small town it was very easy to relate to the characters and the fun in the town. The author had a way or making you feel like you were right there in the mix of everything. I really enjoyed Alasdair and Gaerth as well the relationship was more of a parent child which was wonderful to read. This book was super hard to put down. I will say there is so adult language/ situations in the book so may not be suitable for all readers. That being said the chemistry truly jumped off the pages and unlike so book did not seem forced but very natural. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Rodeo Queen Hannah Monroe gave up her crown for Ty Everett, and her innocence. What she wants from Ty now is a divorce. But Ty can’t remember her—or their secret wedding, or even the son she never meant to hide from him—and Hannah is torn. How can she leave the man she can’t forget and still loves despite herself? And even if she’s willing to start over, what will happen when the truth comes out?

“Caitlin Crews writes cowboys you’ll swoon over…and will grip your heart.”—Nicole Helm, author of Cowboy SEAL Redemption

My thoughts on the book:

When you take two very imperfect people you get this book. I really at first was not a fan of Hannah, she boarded on annoying and very very irresponsible. However as the story went on and things started to make more sense my view of her changed. I like Ty but I felt like sometimes I wanted to read through the pages and choke him and shake him a little. I really liked being able to catch up with Grey and Abby from book one and see how things were going in there lives. Overall I thought this story was cute and very fun to read. There is a sex scene if that’s not your thing this book might not be for you or you could skip that part. I can’t wait to see where the author takes Brady and follow up with this sweet but crazy family. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

My thoughts on the book:

I thought this book was seriously such a cute read. I loved the togetherness of the small town in this book. I loved how Hutch wore his heart on his sleeved but also had this tough dude exterior to him as well. I liked how Valerie had this self discovery to her she worked hard to keep the goal she set but was also willing to face he new options as well. I liked that this was a good clean read. Layover David Bell

Description:

In this high concept psychological suspense novel from the USA Today bestselling author of Somebody’s Daughter, a chance meeting with a woman in an airport sends a man on a pulse-pounding quest for the truth.

Joshua Fields takes the same flights every week for work, his life a series of departures and arrivals, hotels and airports. During yet another layover, he meets Morgan, a beautiful stranger with whom he feels an immediate connection. When it’s time for their respective flights, Morgan kisses Joshua passionately, lamenting that they’ll never see each other again.

As soon as Morgan disappears in the crowd, Joshua is shocked to see her face on a nearby TV. The reason: Morgan is a missing person.

What follows is a whirlwind, fast-paced journey filled with lies, deceit, and secrets as Joshua tries to discover why Morgan has vanished from her own life. Every time he thinks one mystery is solved, another rears its head—and his worst enemy might be his own assumptions about those around him.

My thoughts on the book:

I was not a fan of this book at all. I felt like there was too much detail and I felt like in the beginning it would jump around a lot, it would start on one thought and jump to another. This book told in two different parts, most is told from a first point of view and then some are told from a third person point of view, kind of wish they author would have stuck with one or the other. This story was completely twisted and suspenseful for sure. The book has 85 chapters which through me too since most the chapters are no more then 3-4 pages each, I felt like at some point the author kept throwing situations or different scenario just to drag the book out long, some just made no sense at all.  This book was not for me at all and I didn’t really like a whole like about it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.
