Baby Stetson Nikki Lynn Barrett

Description:

In small Texas towns, strangers come and go…

Left in a Stetson hat on the steps of the local bed and breakfast, Avery Callimer came into the world on a wing and a prayer. Raised by loving adoptive parents, she’s never lacked for love … only the knowledge of her past.
By day she works at the inn, but by night … Avery comes alive as the lead singer in a band. Life was good … stable, until new guests blew into town.

Some strangers come with secrets and lies.

Lucas Bennett is one such stranger. Drifting from one mess to another has left him jaded. Doesn’t matter the dramas are never his doing. Giving it one last shot to make a fresh start lands him Harmony’s Echo, Texas and smack dab in front of the tantalizing Avery.

Every time they’re near each other, things heat up like a brushfire on a dry Texas prairie.
He’s intent to keep his distance, but finds it difficult to ignore the burn Avery’s ignited within. Secrets have followed him. Secrets he doesn’t want Avery to know.

Maybe, after the dust settles and the smoke clears, love can bloom with a fresh start.

My thoughts on the book:
Hands down Jameson was one of my favorites in this book. I liked how the author kept things with him and Avery, no matter what they faced their friendship was first and foremost. The twist the author through in I saw something coming but that caught me out of left field. I liked Lucas and I liked how he had his own Demons he was facing. What I loved about this book was that the author didn’t make one single character “perfect”, yet they all seemed perfect for each other and the trials they faced together. This book does have some sex and cursing so may not be suitable for all. Hands down this author did not disappoint in this book at all. I can’t wait to read Jameson’s story next

Rescued by the Perfect Cowboy Melinda Curtis

Description:

She came to Second Chance

he took a chance on love

French lessons and bookish pursuits give way to riding and roping. And scholarly Sophie falls hard for the strong, practical cowboy. Until Zeke reveals a secret that may prevent this temporary posse from becoming a permanent family.

My thoughts on the book:

I love this series, Every time the author releases a new book for this series and I get a chance to grab it and read it I am never disappointed. It truly feels like I am coming home or even catching up with friends. The author took a group of stuck up people and made them feel normal average people. I loved how Sophie had to truly find who she was and everything she new life to be was questioned. I loved how Zeke had to reach into his own life and show those around him who he was in order to find who he was. (don’t worry I am not giving away anything with those statements) I really so badly want to read Shane’s story he made quite an appearance in this one being Sophie’s twin and each time he does make an appearance in a book I want to know more and more about him. I loved how the author kept the story line going with so many characters yet kept bring the focus back to Sophie and Zeke that I did not feel like there was to much going on. Really fun read and a total clean read which is nice so that its suitable for all readers. I received an advance copy of this book and I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs by Annie Rains

Description:

A heartwarming novella in the Sweetwater Springs series from USA Today bestselling author Annie Rains, perfect for fans of RaeAnne Thayne and Debbie Mason.

If Lacy Shaw could have one wish, it’s that the past would stay in the past. And with her high school reunion coming up, she has no intention of reliving the worst four years of her life. Especially when all she has to show for the last decade is how the shy bookworm blossomed into…the shy town librarian. Ditching the event seems the best option until a blistering hot alternative roars into Lacy’s life. Perhaps riding into the reunion on the back of Paris Montgomery’s motorcycle will show her classmates how much she really has changed…

While growing up as a foster kid, Paris Montgomery only felt at home in Sweetwater Springs, which is why he picked the small town to start over after his divorce. He can’t afford to ruin this refuge with another doomed relationship – especially one with a woman who is his total opposite. But when the town’s sweet librarian offers to help him reconnect with his foster dad, he finds they have more in common than he thought. Both are about to discover that home is where the heart is.

My thoughts on the book:

I was so MAD to see this book end.  I absolutely LOVED it. I loved are quick the author grabs your attention and keeps your attention from beginning to the end. I really found Lacy’s story so sweet and how big of a heart she had for not just her family but those who came into her library they all seemed important to her. Paris has a “wall” up but not so high that just the right person couldn’t reach his heart. This book was seriously one of the sweetest read and probably one of my favorite reads in a while. You really can’t go wrong with this fun read.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Ever Faithful Karen Barnett

Description:

Vibrant historic Yellowstone National Park comes to life in this romantic mystery about a man hiding the truth, braving the west to become something more–and the woman who must confront his deception.

A man who can’t read will never amount to anything–or so Nate Webber believes. But he takes a chance to help his family by signing up for the new Civilian Conservation Corps, skirting the truth about certain “requirements.” Nate exchanges the harsh Brooklyn streets for the wilds of Yellowstone National Park, curious if the Eden-like wonderland can transform him as well.
Elsie Brookes was proud to grow up as a ranger’s daughter, but she longs for a future of her own. After four years serving as a maid in the park’s hotels, she still hasn’t saved enough money for her college tuition. A second job, teaching a crowd of rowdy men in the CCC camp, might be the answer, but when Elsie discovers Nate’s secret, it puts his job as camp foreman in jeopardy. Tutoring leads to friendship and romance, until a string of suspicious fires casts a dark shadow over their relationship. Can they find answers before all of their dreams go up in smoke?

My thoughts on the book:

I don’t typically like historical books the language always throws me. However this book was not that way at all sometimes I would even forget I was reading a story from the 1930’s. This book was a super fun read I actually really liked it a lot. I was not a fan of Ranger Vaughn, not sure if the authors intent was to like him or dislike him, but for me he just rubbed me the wrong way all the way around. With Elsie and Nate both facing something in their past and having to over come it was interesting to see how they handled themselves. Oh my goodness in the end of the story, there is a twist and it’s not what you thought, through the whole book. I really genuinely like this book and this group of characters all but one of course. I liked that this book was a good clean read and perfect for all ages, while keeping you drawn into the story the whole time wondering what was going to happen next. This book is a good clean read and suitable for all. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

The Amish Cookie Club Sarah Price

Edna’s friend, Verna Bontrager, has a problem. Her outspoken twenty-year-old daughter, Myrna, has been fired from her job. Again. Myrna’s family really needs her to chip in, but she’s clearly unsuited to customer service—not to mention that her sharp tongue scares away any boy who might come courting. But Edna has an idea—and his name is Ezekiel Riehl.

A widower with four young children, Ezekiel needs help. His house and his brood are a mess; his demeanor is gruff. It’s no surprise Myrna takes an immediate dislike to him. Yet she has no choice but to take on the challenge—and soon she starts to create order out of chaos. In fact, the kids begin to depend on Myrna—and so does Ezekiel. The truth is, she’s fallen in love with him. But if he’s to prove he’s not looking for a marriage of convenience, he’ll have to convince her of what’s in his heart . . .
Includes Cookie recipes!

My thoughts on the book:
This author did not disappoint with this fun read. I mean when you take four women and put them in a kitchen what else are they going to do but bake up some fun things. I really like Myrna she was sassy and you know we all want to speak what’s on our minds, we just don’t. I think we may all need a little Myrna in our selves. I really liked Ezekiel’s truly was a man of God just seeking help for his small family. I also liked how the author had away of being out the children’s personality in such a way that they too were super fun to read about as well as the four friends in the cookie club. I liked that this is a good clean read and suitable for all ages. I also like that the author had a gentle way of reminding the reader of how the words that come out of our mouths are just as powerful and hurtful to others, with this author there always seems to be a lesson to learn in her books. I can’t wait to read more from these friends and see what they cook up next. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Met Her Match Susan Tuttle

Description:

Two old friends. One unexpected reunion.

Parasailing captain Pemberley Truitt has almost grasped a sense of home after two years in the Bahamas. While she misses her family, she’s never felt like she fits in; especially when it comes to TruLove, their family’s matchmaking business. When her brother calls and begs her help with the now struggling company, she’s happy to oblige and obtain the chance to find her place with them. But then she discovers she’ll have to work with Tobias Bradshaw. The last time she saw him, he broke her heart.

Which is why he agrees to his friend’s two-fold plea: professionally research Joy Island’s matchmaking service and personally be matched himself. No objections there. Until Pemberley Truitt crosses his path again, and she looks about as happy to see him as someone chosen for jury duty. It’s fine. He’s faced hostile witnesses before. Except he soon realizes he wants more than a temporary working relationship. He’s taken on difficult opposition in court before, but this time he’ll need more than a persuasive argument if he hopes to win Pem’s heart.

My thoughts on the book:

Tobias, has trust issues and Pem, feels like she doesn’t belong when her brother asks for help she is faced with her past and has a ton of underlying issues she needs to deal with. What a fun laid back read. This book was a super fun book to read and it was also a quick read.  I also loved how this book was a good clean read and suitable for all ages. If you are looking for a fun quick read you can’t go wrong with.
