Merry Christmas, Montana Elsa Winckler

Description:

She doesn’t believe in miracles, but maybe this holiday her son’s Christmas wish will change her mind.

Single mom Riley O’Sullivan isn’t one to complain, but with her closest family members now settled in Marietta, Montana, while she still calls Portland home, finding good help isn’t as easy as it used to be. With Christmas approaching, Riley and her young son Dylan are excited to be in Marietta with family for the holidays; but she certainly doesn’t need maddening Mitch Miller coming to her rescue, awakening her senses, or making Dylan ask questions about what dads do.

Mitch Miller left his successful financial career behind him when he moved to Marietta with his two sisters. He’s not looking for love, but Riley captivates him like no other woman ever has. She thinks he’s an overprotective grinch–with good cause–but it’s clear to everyone Riley and Dylan could use a little Christmas magic and he’s willing to help. It’s not as if he’s offering his heart.

Perhaps all it will take to bring them together is the Christmas wish from one special little boy.

My Review:

I liked Mitch, he was known in the other books as “The Yelling Brother” so I loved how he came off one way and in the book you start to really see who he is. He really values family and loves his sisters and would do anything for them and those he loves. Riley was all over the board for me but in the end I got why she was the way she was. She to has a big heart for anyone who comes into her life and will drop everything she’s doing to be there for those she loves. I think hands down my favorite character is Janice she was always up to something and had no problem meddling and I loved her little sidekick Dylan those two were made for each other for sure. Overall this was a cute love story with lots of laughs and some tears but lots of family and fun as well. There is sex in this story so it may not be suitable for all.

The Texas Cowboy’s Christmas Miracle Debra Holt

 Description:

All they need for Christmas is a second chance nudge…

Sixteen years ago, MacKenna Davidson was a runaway bride, and she never found the courage to face her jilted fiancé and family back in Burkitt, Texas. Then her sister’s nuptials set off the very chain of events she’s feared: a sense of homecoming she can’t untangle.

Matteo Montez survived MacKenna once, and he refuses to fall for her again. But he has no choice except to team up with her when a fellow attorney informs them that a mutual friend has passed and named Matteo and Mackenna as her children’s guardians. How can he crush these little angels’ hopes for a family, especially at Christmas?

Mackenna is willing to work with Burkitt’s hottest bachelor to build a picture-perfect holiday, as long as her heart doesn’t get involved. Because she, too, has secrets that prevent her from picking up her past. But Christmas is a season of surprises and even a miracle or two—especially when Mackenna and Matteo have a guardian angel rooting for their happiness.

My Review:

This book to me was about making life what you make of it and make family with who is around you not just because you share the same blood. I liked Mackenna she truly was someone who grabbed the bull by the horns and let nothing stop her to get what she wanted out of life. Matteo had his moments with me but I felt like he just was all over the place, one moment he was a strong character knowing what he wanted and then in the next he was all over Mackenna for not communicating but he himself struggled with saying what he wanted. Honestly I felt like the whole story was just that a lack of communication where gown adult relied on other to help them get there point across. I also felt in the beginning it was so formal between Mackenna and Matteo it was awkward and a little off putting. Overall the story was cute and the author kept it clean so it would be suitable for all readers.

This story Is the final in the series and I liked how the author summarized everything in the end of this book it was nice to catch up with all the characters in the series.

A Cowboy Country Christmas Jennie Marts

Description:

There’s no better time than Christmas to open your heart

Holt Callahan used to love the holidays, but getting dumped on Christmas Eve would turn anyone into a Grinch. Now he hates Christmas and all the holly jolly shenanigans that go with it. When he moves back to his cousin’s ranch in Creedence, Colorado, the last thing he expects is to come face to face with the one who got away and all of her holiday cheer.

Lainey McBride is all about Christmas. Now she’s running her family’s ranch festivities while her grandfather is in rehab, and no matter how many things don’t go according to plan, she’s determined to bring her holiday spirit. But the holidays have their own way of healing, and a Christmas in Creedence just might be the merry magic that brings these two broken hearts back together again.

My Review:

I will start off saying that I did not know this was part of a series so if you read this and not the others it won’t be hard to find or follow what’s going, however if the other books in the series are like this one you will want to read them because the group of characters are so fun to follow. Now on to my review. I did feel like the “situation” with Holt and Lainey went on a little to long and I wished it had played out a different way. I really liked Lainey she did have a big heart and truly was just this breath of fresh air wherever she went. She made sure to always include and care for anyone she crossed paths with. Holt was this grumpy gus but honestly I was laughing and rolling my eyes at his antics because it felt like it was more for show then that’s who he wanted to be betrayed at. In the beginning the chemistry between these two was explosive and the author did not disappoint keeping it going. I loved all the sub characters in the book they added such a fun factor into the story, but my favorite where the animals I laughed so hard at the antics of them for sure. I think hands down the two characters that stole the “show” were Winnie and Esme I could not stop laughing when they made appearances and you truly never know what was going to be said or done next. Overall this was really cute story and I would say worth the read. I will say that there is sex in this story so it may not be suitable for all readers.

He can’t figure out why this beautiful woman is as awkward as a teenager whenever he’s around, which is often now that he’s an apprentice to her blacksmith father. So Clayton starts assisting with Heart’s never-ending tasks, even helping her corral her unruly pets. How else can he court an adorably flustered woman who doesn’t know the first thing about courtship? Because courting is exactly what he intends . . .

Heart doesn’t know why her pulse hammers every time she sees Clayton. She only knows yielding to such emotions will mean trouble. . . . But maybe with a little faith—and the trying on of a shoe—Clayton can convince her to join him on the road to happily ever after.

My Review:

I did enjoy this story it was sweet from the beginning to the end. I will say there were parts that dragged a little bit. I will say there is two “stories” going on at the same time, but they intertwine so its not hard to keep up at all. You have Mary and Levi and man I loved Mary she was so sweet and had the biggest heart and had to have one of the hardest jobs but God used her in families lives when they may be going through one of there toughest moments. Levi was a little rough and gruff but he had the biggest heart for those he loved and cared for, Heart being his biggest worry and his greatest accomplishment. Then you have the story with Heart and Clayton. Clayton faced some big things in his shortest time however that did not slow him down from trying to make the best life he could. Heart this girl hands down ran this story she truly was the heart of the story and she after loosing her mom she took on so much yet never complained she had the biggest heart for any living creature and was the sweet kind friend everyone needs in there life. I loved that this author kept this book clean and suitable for all this is worth the read for sure.

The Untold Story of Carol Bingley Jane Hartley

Description:

Carol Bingley has a certain reputation in Marietta, Montana. She’s an infamous gossip and overly generous with her sharp opinions. But Carol’s been hiding a painful secret.

Forty years ago, sixteen-year-old high school student Carol Franklyn was madly in love with a bad boy cowboy with an irresistible smile, and sexy swagger. The day he asked her to meet him at the local hangout, the Main Street Diner, Carol thought all her dreams had come true. What she didn’t know was that she had become a pawn in a cruel and manipulative game that would spin her life painfully off course.

Now happily married to a man who loves her unconditionally, Carol finally is ready to share her painful past, but will she be believed? And can she be forgiven when she faces two of Marietta’s most powerful, tight-knit families?

Carol has lost so much. But this Christmas, she hopes she can find two puzzle pieces of her past, and sets out on a journey hoping she will finally be healed, not once again hurt.

My Review:

This book was amazing I truly could not put this book down. This book was so emotional, so powerful and very gut wrenching, but it was a story that needed to be told. If you have read any books in Marietta for any amount of time you have read about Carol and this is her story and after reading I am glad it was told, I didn’t even know that it need to be told but it really did. Frank was amazing and has the biggest heart and such and amazing character that you walk away feeling like a better person for sure. Carol had this mask that she had on for so long to hide the pain for so many years of loss, and betrayal. I feel like the author grabs you by the heart and makes each character in the book so relatable. She also make if feel like you are right there in the middle of the story. I am tying to keep this on the vague because I feel like I could go on and on but then I feel like I would ruin the book for you. So I will say this grab you box of tissues and grab this book you will not be disappointed. This book is worth every bit.

My Review:

Hands down this was my favorite book of this series, now don’t get me wrong they are all good and I love how in each book just like this one it makes you feel like you are right there watching it all play out. I really loved Amy she was this strong Independent women who faced a lot but was whiling to take a risk to have what she wanted most. She was so relatable and very misunderstood character as well. I loved Chet he was this cowboy who kept people at a safe distance for a reason but also would drop anything and help anyone he has this big heart but you had to break the walls down to see it. I really enjoyed how they just seemed to work well together like they have knowing each other forever. Overall this book was worth the read and well worth it. The author also kept the story a clean read which makes it suitable for all. Huck may no longer be a soldier, but he still believes no man—or woman—should be left behind. He’ll need to woo the beautiful, stubbornly independent cowgirl and change her mind. Failure is never an option.

My Review:

Y’all I really liked this book. I feel like whenever I read something from this author she will have you all up in your feelings and the was the case with this book for sure. She has away of tackling tough topics respectfully and bringing awareness to it at the same time. I really liked Huck he had a big heart and faced a lot in private but looked out for those he loved for sure. He was a true definition of a cowboy. Willow was feisty while she shouldered a lot she also didn’t take a lot from anyone. I loved reading about Willow’s mom and aunt and Huck’s dad and catching up with everyone from Marietta. I love this small town I feel like this author make you feel like you are right there in the middle of the story. Overall this is such a fun read and well worth it. There is sexual content in this book so it may not be suitable for all.

The queen of heartwarming, small-town love stories returns to Riverbend Gap with a deeply satisfying tale of love’s healing power.

My Review:

This is one of those stories that is completely relatable, whether with the main characters or one of the sub characters but either way I felt like someone will connect with one or all. I loved Jeff what and amazing man, he didn’t have a lot to say but when he spoke everyone listened because it was something you needed to hear. I felt with Charlotte and even a little bit with Emerson they had away of taking what life dealt and putting a positive spin on it. They Bothe faced so much and yet they worked hard to leave their town in a better place. I felt so much for Gunner he loved so deeply and lost so much that the way the story played out was not a surprise but so emotional. Overall I really enjoyed this book with some tough subject that were talked about the author did an amazing job of balancing laughter in there as well. The author did keep this a clean read so it would be suitable for all.

In Montana to build some bridges with his older, billionaire half-brothers, Jackson didn’t plan to stay. Sydney was just visiting family from her high-stakes life in D.C. For one night they lit each other on fire, kissed goodbye, and never thought they’d see the other again.

But Jackson built more than bridges and put down roots. And just about every holiday, he’s watched Sydney turn up in town. The fire that always blazes between them gets hotter every visit, but this time is different. This fall, Sydney decides to stay a while. With the 85th Copper Mountain Rodeo taking Marietta by storm, Jackson knows this is the chance he’s been waiting for.

And he means to take it—if he can convince the only woman he’s ever wanted that there’s more freedom in loving him than letting go.

My Review:

At the beginning I was kind of iffy I felt like the book dragged, but hang in there the story does pick up and gets good. I really liked Jackson he faced a lot in his life but he had no bitterness, he was just this down to earth cowboy who took the lemons that life handed him and made some fresh lemonade with the. He was one of those characters who felt very relatable. Sydney really grew on my she had her walls high and in the beginning it really was hard to make sense of it all she was the exact opposite of Jackson. I did feel like when it was revealed what she faced it was so heartbreaking the story just made more sense in the moment. She did not let that stop her though she took life by the horns and held nothing back when it come to a head. She stands strong and stands for what she feels is “right”. Overall I really did enjoy this book I felt like its such a great addition to the town of Marietta. Sex is indicated but not described so may not be suitable for all readers.

Description:

From the moment Rye and Ansley meet, their chemistry sizzles, but their worlds are nothing alike and neither of them is in a position to compromise. Is love really enough, or are they asking to have their hearts broken?

My Review:

I loved this story and I can’t wait for more from this group in fact in the end the author leaves a little note and I was super excited to read what she has in the works!! I feel like the big champions in this story were the Wyatt’s they were hands down my favorite and so glad to catch up with them. I liked Ansley she was independent and fought to get there it was no cake walk for her that’s for sure. There is something that happens between her and her brothers and I feel like as the only girl of all boys I could relate to the moment so I was laughing so hard. I liked Rye however he did have to grow on me a little. In the beginning he just seemed so beat down. However his sisters, and mom did not hold anything back when he need to be pulled and pushed they were right there, the family dynamics were just amazing. He has and amazing heart and only wants what’s best for those he loves. I truly felt like I could not get enough of this story. I so wanted more. I liked how the author kept the story clean and suitable for all readers.
