Cowboy Ever After Jennie Marts

Description:

She’s writing a romance novel…
and he’s just like the hero in her story!
Enjoy the delightful cowboy romance from Hallmark
and USA Today bestselling author Jennie Marts.

Kaylee Collins, a shy city-dweller, is writing a Western romance—and getting the details wrong. Her editor insists that Kaylee learn more about country life by spending a week at a working ranch. Kaylee reluctantly agrees as long as she can bring Gladys, her slightly overweight Corgi.

To rustle up her courage, Kaylee channels the spirit of the fearless heroine of her story. But she’s shocked when she meets Luke Montgomery—the spitting image of her handsome cowboy hero!

As far as Luke’s concerned, Kaylee’s books are pure fantasy. Love hurts, and he should know: he lost his wife a few years back. But he finds himself amused, and then enchanted, by this woman who bravely tries new things and whose heart seems to be as big as the Montana sky. Can they both dare to start a new chapter together?

This clean romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Extra Delicious Carrot Cake.

My Review:

I loved this book, it was such a fun read. I loved how it feel like the author took you behind the scenes of what its like to be a writer and throws a twist in it. I loved Kaylee she was so vulnerable but she also had such a huge heart and could see only the best in those she met. It felt like she only wanted to leave those she met better than she found them. Luke had his guard up almost the whole book but it did not take from the story or him showing who he was as a person. He never really came off like a jerk which I expected he came off more caring and reserved. I liked the friendship between Luke and Dean and I loved Emma she came off like an old soul with a lot of sweet soul and honesty coming out. Overall this was a fun read and I could not put it down. I really can’t say much negative about this book other than I was left wanting more. 🙂

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:

If you have been following along with The Monroe Family this book was a fun way to catch up with the family but also read about another member. I feel like in each book it can hit a person different but I found this book very emotional. I really like Kendall she had a hard shell that needs to be cracked but she was taking life as it was handed to her and she was grabbing by the horns. She was a fighter and super independent and no job was to dirty for her. I loved Lizzie she was a pistol with an old soul and was ready to grab at love for anyone or anything in her life. Finn had to grow on my a little bit but he was also someone who faced a lot and had a lot on his plate. While each character faced a difficult situation each one faced it looking for love and sometimes thats all we need. I really liked this book it was a fun read and a clean read and I know the Monroe’s are coming to an end but I am so loving this family and their stories.

The View from Coral Cove Amy Clipston

Description:

When a jilted romance novelist escapes to a small beach town, the last thing she expected to find was the start of an even better love story.

In the wake of a broken engagement and the death of her last surviving family member, sweet romance novelist Maya Reynolds moves to the haven of Coral Cove, North Carolina, to take over her great-aunt’s toy store. Some of her grief is immediately eased by imaginative eight-year-old Ashlyn Tanner, who talks her into adopting a kitten and inspires Maya to create a princess tea-party room in the store.

Ashlyn’s dad, local veterinarian Brody Tanner, is quickly smitten by the newest resident of his hometown. As a single parent, he sacrifices a lot in order to give Ashlyn the world, so a romantic entanglement with Maya is not a distraction he is looking for.

As the three develop a deepening bond in the seaside town where Maya experienced some of her happiest childhood memories, clouds cast a shadow over Maya’s hope for the future: an impossible deadline looms over her next novel, a long-held secret by her late mother about Maya’s absent father comes to light, and Brody’s resolve to avoid romance seems unbreakable.

But together, they just might discover that sometimes happy endings happen outside the pages of Maya’s novels too.

Advance praise for The View from Coral Cove:

“Grieving and brokenhearted, novelist Maya Reynolds moves to Coral Cove, the place where she felt happiest as a child. An old family secret upends Maya’s plan for a fresh start, as does her longing to love and be loved. The View from Coral Cove is Amy Clipston at her best—a tender story of hope, healing, and a love that’s meant to be.” —Suzanne Woods Fisher, bestselling author of On a Summer Tide

My Review:I could not put this book down anytime I had to I tried to hurry back to it, it was so good. The author has a way of making you feel like you are catching up with friends with this book. I loved Ashlyn she was so fun to read about she was a pistol and I feel totally helped make the story what it was. I really liked Maya and Brody each had baggage they had to deal with but each was after two things healing and love. I loved how each page the author draws you in and throws in a twist that while you know something is up you are happy with the way things turn. I loved that this book was a good clean read and that it would be suitable for all ages. I could not recommend this book more!!!

Suddenly Olivier wants more than a fake relationship. But is Colby only playing a part or are her feelings as real as his?

Find out in the latest Rossis of Whiskey River novel by USA Today bestselling author Katherine Garbera.

My Review:This book was a fun read. I liked Colby she has the biggest heart and she always wants what’s best for those she loves. She was also a fighter and willing to fight for what she wanted. I was not a huge fan of Colby he was so self centered to me but I felt like he grew on me over time. He seemed like he wants to be in a good place but he wants to have the best relationship with his family but he also questions where he sits in his family. I really enjoyed the story overall it was a fun read and well worth it. There is adult content and may not be suitable for all readers.

The Cowboy’s Texas Sky E. Elizabeth Watson

Their chemistry still flares hot, but he’s changed, and she has a troubled teen to protect.

Travis Dixon has many regrets. Most notably, losing his best friend in a battle that took his foot and nearly his life, and then turning to the bottle during recovery. He hurt everyone he loved, but is now a respected orthopaedic surgeon determined to establish a riding program for injured vets. When the blonde beauty he never forgot throws his heart and his plans into a tailspin, he realizes he wants to reconnect with his roots and find a new place in Skylar’s life.

They’ve both run from their pasts. Can Skylar make room for Travis in her future?

My Review:I really struggled with this book. I really wanted to like it and in the beginning I did. However I felt like it was one big misunderstanding that took way to long to finally get to and it seemed like certain characters would not let it go and move on with life. I feel like the only reason I kept read this to the end was because of Brandon he was a good kid with a big heart just looking for love and to find a place to fit. I found he was completely relatable and he truly carried this story for me. Overall this book was not for me and does contain some adult situations that may not be suitable for all readers.

Is it possible that the future holds a life even better than what Merry Anna and Adam had each dreamed of? One that includes both tenderness and even love—not just for each other but for Zan too.

My Review:I really like this author she has a way of getting to the heart and having you fall in love with some or all of the characters. It was very much the case with this book. I loved Merry Anna she had the biggest heart and she was so fierce and all about finding who she was while showing love to her new friends and neighbors. I loved Zan she was so cute and so wise beyond her years and had such a tenderhearted. I also loved Krissy and Tara everyone needs friends like them in their life. I went back and forth with Adam on moment I liked him and the the next I wanted to choke him. Y’all this book was just overall really good, it was just a really great read and I could not put it down.

When Blake shows up at the Salinas Rodeo demanding Tommy sign their divorce papers, Tommy makes it clear he isn’t interested in signing anything. When he married Blake, he meant his vows. Now Tommy has one week to convince his secret wife they’re meant to be together.

My Review:

I liked this book, however I was not a huge fan of Blake. I understand the push and pull of her emotions but she just came off as weak and sometimes really annoying. At one point I wanted to just yell at her. I loved Tommy. He was amazing. He loved hard, worked hard and would do anything for those he loved truly a man’s man with a huge heart. I have read about some of the other characters in this book so it was fun to catch up and see what they are up to. I loved Melvin. He truly has the biggest heart for his family and such a grandpa that anyone would be blessed to have. Overall this book was a good read.

Now Ann’s in huge trouble…and the only person who can help her is the adorkable guy who completely humiliated her back in high school.

Lawyer Eric Maxwell has been in love with Ann as long as he can remember. He was waaaay too nerdy to win a beautiful girl like her. But when Ann lands in serious hot chocolate, he offers to give her free legal services…if she’ll help him go from nerd-without-a-clue to bona fide bad boy.

And once the transition is complete, he’ll have everything he needs to prove that he’s the guy for her…

Each book in the Stealing the Heart series is STANDALONE:
* Stealing the Groom
* Resisting Her Rival
* Stealing the Bachelor

My Review:

This is a new to me author so I did not read the other book in the series. However this book was really cute. While Ann had her guard up most of the book but she also showed her softer side as well. I liked all the sisters and there husbands they lost a lot but they also made a family and had each other for the tough times. Eric has a way of wanting to always come to the rescue of those he cares about but I felt in someways he come off as an enabler instead of helping his loved ones out. I liked him and I liked how the author made him more relatable then making him this knight and shining armor guy riding in to save the day and untouchable. I loved Noah and his antics with the sisters. Overall this book was a cute read an I would read it again.

Everyone’s a Critic Nikki Lynn Barrett

Description:

She’s a single mother struggling with abandonment. He’s a travel writer trying to get past a traumatic, isolated childhood.

Laura Feldmen never thought this would be her: a single mother at nearly twenty-seven. A former bully, Laura made people’s lives miserable. Now that the tables have turned, she finds out who her real friends are. Imagine her surprise when the people who support her are the ones she used to torment. Her father has given her an ultimatum: she has a year to find herself and not attach herself to imperfect men while raising her infant daughter.

Cooper Dawson comes to Cinnamon Bay on a mission. A travel writer, he’s eager to visit the beachside small town. His dream job is just within reach, but that changes when he meets Laura and recognizes something in her that he understands all too well.

Cooper’s the kind of guy Laura would have picked on before. Now she’s searching for redemption while he longs for a way to find his place in the world. Is it possible for two opposites to find healing together?

My Review:I feel like this author gets deep in emotions and then drags them out of your heart as you are reading and that was very much the case with this book. I felt so many emotions while reading this. I Liked Laura a lot she wanted to do right by her daughter and those people she hurt. Cooper had a rough go at things early in life and his story is so powerful, he was such an amazing read. This book was very good and I could not put it down. This book does have adult situations and may not be suitable for all ages. I will say the only thing I did not like was the end, I was left with so many questions. But if you know this author you know she is not done with a character and I am sure we will see more of Cooper and Laura. Also I loved Julian he’s got such a big heart and I can’t wait for his story.

Wander Canyon

Book 1: Their Wander Canyon Wish
Book 2: Winning Back Her Heart
Book 3: His Christmas Wish
Book 4: A Mother’s Strength
Book 5: Secrets of their Past

My Review:

This is one of those books that will hit I think most readers a little different. I really liked this book I felt like it go to the heart but also left you laughing in parts as well. I loved Tessa she was a forced to be reckoned with. She was a single mom to one and a mom to all. She had a big heart and set out on a mission to tell her towns story. Neal on the other hand keeps his cards close to his chest and finds it hard to let people in. I found the journey he took to find out who he was, was not easy but for many who read this story will find it relatable. I like that the author kept this book a clean read so that it will be suitable for all. Overall this is a fun read and takes you on a journey for sure.
