The Billionaire Cowboy’s Proposition Kris Bock

Description:

She’s ready to put on the performance of a lifetime.

Cody Tomlinson and Mallory Moore have struck sparks off each other since high school theater, where she was sunny and talented while he was injured and angry. A decade later, Mallory is working to save Last Stand’s movie theater and convert it into a performance space for live theater and music. Thanks to his family’s lottery win, Cody has plenty of money to help. But Mallory’s the only woman in town who doesn’t want Cody’s charity.

It’s bad enough that Cody is sexy as sin with his tough, scarred cowboy looks. Now he’s rich and Mallory refuses to be another woman fighting for his attention. She won’t accept a financial gift for her business, but she’s not above a fair trade. Mallory offers a deal: Cody can invest in the theater if he volunteers on the renovation. Meanwhile, she’ll play the part of his fiancée to ward off fortune hunters.

But Mallory immediately realizes her mistake. Cody’s always driven her crazy, and now they’re spending all their days—and nights—together.

My Review:

I have really liked this series so far and I can’t wait for Xander’s story. However I was not a huge fan of Mallory she just came off really snobby and whiney. I felt like for someone who had faced a lot and who was super independent she would be more strong in her overall life. I liked Cory but he was super reserve and it seemed like he had a lot of walls to break down, that did not seem to stop him from living the best life he could. I felt like more people had a problem with it then him. I loved the teenagers in this book the author did amazing by taking a situation and using it as a teaching opportunity and how it played out in this book. Overall it was fun to catch up with this family and the author kept it clean and suitable for all readers.

Blind Trust Natalie Walters

Description:

Lyla Fox knows she has a reputation at the SNAP Agency for impulsivity, but when she receives a threatening letter from a man she helped put in prison, she can’t stop herself from going all in to find out why he’s coming after her. Unfortunately, she’s going to need the help of the one person who questions her reckless choices more than anyone else.

Dealing with bombs is dangerous. Working with Lyla is proving to be just as treacherous–to both the mission and his heart.

Natalie Walters closes out her SNAP Agency series with a bang with this nail-biting story of a deadly government conspiracy, an unlikely couple, and an ending that will leave you breathless.

My Review:

This book was really good, I had a hard time putting down. I found the relationship with Lyla and Kekoa was so fun it had me laughing so hard in points where it should have been serious. The author throw some twist in there I was not expecting, it will defiantly keep you guessing from the beginning to the end. I really like how the relationship between this group of friends felt more like a close nit family. I really enjoyed the relationship with Lyla and family while Layla was a risk taker and super independent she had the support of all her family. The author kept this book clean and it will have you on the edge of your seat. So worth the read.

As Briar and Jet break down each other’s walls, Cade’s stays intact. The Sundowner Ranch might be the biggest in Wyoming, but it’s too small for all of them. One of them has to go…but at what cost?

My Review:

I really enjoyed this book, it was so down to earth and the author had away of making you feel like you were right there just catching up with friends. I loved how the author made the characters relatable and took two very broken people and found strength in themselves and each other. I found Briar in the beginning a little immature however as the story went she was a fighter and she would not let anyone push her around. She cared deeply for those close to her and cared just as deeply once you were in her inner circle. Jet was a hard nut to crack he kept things close to the chest but he too cared deeply and protect those close to him. I so wanted to smack Cade he was a tough guy and did not have any problem telling these two how he saw fit. I loved Emma, My Warner, and Merribee they were the best cheer leaders to anyone on the ranch they truly loved unconditionally. Overall I really enjoyed this book and there wasn’t on thing I could say I didn’t like. Its so worth the read.

USA TODAY Bestselling Author

From Harlequin Heartwarming: Wholesome stories of love, compassion and belonging.

The Cowboy Academy

Book 1: A Cowboy Worth Waiting For
Book 2:
A Cowboy’s Fourth of July

My Review:

I have mix feelings with this book. I liked Wade he was an amazing dad, son and friend. He faced a lot of loss in his life but overall he truly cared for those close to him and would do anything for them. I liked Ronnie at first she was a independent and had an idea of what she wanted out of life. However towards the middle of the book It felt like the author did a 160 turn around with Ronnie and she became this broken person who just didn’t see her value or worth and she came off very whiney and immature. I really liked Wade’s family and Hank they were some very strong characters and really helped make this story. Overall the story was cute just dragged a little. The author did keep the story clean so will be suitable for all readers.

My Review:

I liked this story it was super cute. The author has away of making you feel like you are right there in Ireland and enjoying the journey right along with Rachel and Conall. I felt like Conall was cautiously optimistic when it came to his relationship with Rachel. He cared for her but also from past experiences he was careful. I wish there was more from him and his side I liked how he was a big family guy and truly cared and would do anything for everyone close to him. I liked Rachel I felt like she was careful to put her heart on the line because of the loss of her dad. However she strived to be the best she could for all in her life. I liked Flynn and Fiona I want to hear each one of there stories now. Overall this book was a fun read and a quick read.

Which shocks Reese completely.

That’s only the first surprise, though. The second is the undeniable attraction that sparks between them. An attraction that’s totally unexpected but becomes increasingly difficult to ignore. As she helps Reese reconnect with his boys, Shelby shines a light into his dark and lonely world, bringing hope to his broken and grieving heart.

Hope that Reese fears will be lost again when Shelby’s six-week stay at Lone Oaks is over.

Unless he’s willing to risk everything by asking her to stay.

Previously published by the author as Reese’s Long Hot Summer.

My Review:

This book is cute! I really loved Shelby she came into a situation and owned it like she had been there and doing it for her whole life. She was so sweet and had the biggest heart, so independent and ready to take on anything life threw at her. I liked Reese and his boys the little boys Adam and Zach were such pistols and were so fun to read the author did an amazing job with these boys jumping off the pages and had you laughing out loud with their antics. Reese was trying to find himself while he took a little to grow on me I also felt he was a good guy who only wanted what was best for his boys. I feel like if I had to sum up this book with two words is would be finding forgiveness and healing. Overall this was a fun book to read. This book does contain sexual content so may not be suitable for all readers.

Sparks fly as award-winning romantic suspense writer Lynn H. Blackburn closes out her Defend and Protect series with this explosive tale of secrets kept, lies exposed, and relationships restored.

My Review:

I really enjoyed this book. Now why its not the edge of your seat the whole books it has you on the edge of your seat sometimes. I didn’t read the other books in the series but I really love this group of friends they have made themselves family. This book reminds me a lot of The O’Malley series by Dee Henderson. I Just loved how the author held nothing back with ether character, they both faced the same demon in very different ways and each tackled it head on. Tessa was a fighter and would stop at nothing to do her job and also protect the ones she loved. I loved that Both Tessa and Zaane were very strong characters neither over powered the other. Overall I really enjoyed this book the author kept it a clean read and its worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Her Cowboy Baby Daddy Jeannie Watt

Description:

He’s always been the love ‘em and leave ‘em type, until she gives him a reason to stay.

Former cowboy Spence Keller never puts down roots, so when he’s needed back home on Keller Ranch, he drops everything to return. After a belligerent neighbor shuts off a much-needed water supply, Spence volunteers to negotiate a water lease with Hayley Parker, another neighboring ranch owner. He and shy Hayley have a history, so it should be simple, but things are made complicated when he sees Hayley, now confident, gorgeous, and armed with a counteroffer.

Ranching is in Hayley’s blood, but after her father passes, she’s lonely. Hayley’s always wanted a child, but is too independent to run her ranch and raise her child with someone else. She’s exploring sperm donors when her handsome neighbor saunters into her barn with a proposition. Spence is perfect—he’s hot as hell and always has one foot out the door.

Spence is definitely up for a no-strings affair with Hayley, but father a child and walk away? Never. Can he convince Hayley that he’s ready to settle down and raise a family—with her?

My Review:

I liked this story overall, however I did find that Spence came off immature and took a little while to grow on me, he comes from a big family and so he was more of the shy kid however when he spoke his mind and he didn’t like the response he would run off. Haley was the opposite she seemed to take the life she was given by the horns and tackled whatever it through at her and she was learning and growing as she went, no one or anything was going to hold her back. Overall this was a cute story, there is sexual content in this book so it may not be suitable to all readers.

The trust Eleanor places in her friend and the gentle words she receives in return are a balm for even darker days to come in this first book of The Friendship Letters series by New York Times Bestselling Author Wanda E. Brunstetter.

My Review:

Sometimes tragedy puts us in a dark place and the “Why’s” always feel so unanswered. Addiction does not discriminate again anyone either, and that was very much the case in this book as Vic faced alcoholism as a copy mechanism and it seemed things just continued to spiral out of control from there. I found Eleanor strong and a fighter she has such a big heart but also is not afraid to ask for help when she is push. I adored Susie she loved Eleanor like one of her own she also was not one to mince words she truly was a fun charactered to read. I this book Eleanor’s best friends, her parents, and Vic’s parents all told a small portion of the story sometimes I feel like this can be confusing however the author did an amazing job at keeping things flowing and making things make sense and the story just kept flowing. Overall this book was a really good read, even with a tough topic it was really well written and worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Description:

On the far side of the world, Saul made himself into a different person—hopefully a better one—but now family ties force him home.

Animals and plants are the only living things successful entrepreneur Trudie Weiss trusts unconditionally. Neglected as a child and forced into dangerous situations she couldn’t control, Trudie prefers to keep people at a distance. But the arrival of Saul “Sunny” MacDonald back in The Crossing tests the exposed armour around Trudie’s tender heart. Like it or not, they share a deep bond. And an attraction that glows white hot.

Trudie knows a wounded animal when she sees one. And if she gets too close to Saul, he will lash out. But as he confronts old relationships and digs into his painful past, is there room for Saul and Trudie to move forward and forge a loving future…together?

My Review

:This book was not for me. I liked Trudie even though she was guarded she really did have a big heart for this who are hurting. I felt like the whole book was just one big awkward story between two very different people. Saul was ok but he had a lot of anger and I just was waiting for him to loose his cool and deal with his issues. Overall the book was ok, I would say For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes and descriptions of physical and sexual assault. As well as sex between two consenting adults.

I received an advance copy from the publisher. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
