My Review:

I LOVED this book, it reminded me from the beginning of a hallmark movie. The author has a way of making you feel like you are right there in the middle of it, she draws you in leaves you wanting more. I loved Elle she has a heart for others not because she’s an angel but because she just seems to generally have a good heart. I loved Iris and Molly they where extra bonus to this cute story and just easy to love and follow. Sam is hurt from the loss of his wife but that doesn’t stop him from helping someone out and loving his daughter the best he knows how. Sam’s dad his heart was in the right place but he also was willing to respect his son. Overall this book was well worth the read and puts you in the spirit of Christmas and giving. I truly could not put this book down. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Sisters Esther and Lizzie have a new employee, Rose Petersheim, to help them tend to The Peony Inn. But their old matchmaking ways have stayed the same. The sisters focus their efforts on the lovely twenty-five-year-old Rose. Though Rose is witty and outspoken, her nervous chattering makes her the best match for someone calm and good at listening. Someone like Benjamin—the handsome handyman who recently moved to town.

But when Esther receives an anonymous love letter and flowers, Rose’s love life is no longer the only one capturing the sisters’ attention. As they sleuth around searching for Esther’s secret admirer, they uncover that their grumpy renter, Gus, has a secret of his own that could bring about a difficult change in all their lives. And their continued meddling in Rose’s affairs reveals she, too, is hiding something—an old wound that could threaten her future happiness.

As Rose, Lizzie, Esther, and Gus struggle to release the weight of their pasts, they discover that although people are complicated, love doesn’t need to be.

This charming third installment of the Amish Inn series from bestselling author Beth Wiseman is a picture of loss and healing in which forgiveness will prove to be the greatest act of love.

My Review:

I really enjoyed this book is was so fun to read yet also go to the heart of the matter. I did not read the first two book in the series but you do catch up with some of the other characters from both books in this story. I really enjoyed the sisters Lizzie and Esther you never knew what was going to come out of there mouths or what they were going to do next, between them and Gus I felt like I was always laughing. I really liked Rose she has a heart of goal but trying to find where she fits in life and someone who will love her for who she is. Ben Was also struggling but he seem to just be stubborn and take things in stride. I feel like thought out the book is was a reminder to love ourselves for who God made us and others will come along to love us just the same. Over all this book was a fun read and was well worth it. It was also a clean read so suitable for all. I would totally recommend this book to anyone. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Book 6: Charmed by the Cook’s Kids

Book 9: A Cowgirl’s Secret

My Review:
I have really enjoyed reading about the Monroe’s and the family craziness, it goes to show just because you have money life is not easy. I liked Cassie, she had a heart of gold and she wants to make sure her family has all they need. Bentley he seems so lost and he just needs to find where he can land and feel needed. I loved all the kids in this book I always feel like with kids in a story it tends to guarantee a laugh for sure. This story seemed a little split between Cassie, Bentley and Rhett and Olivia. I am not sure if the author is going to be telling Olivia’s story next but I can not wait to read Olivia’s story. This is a clean read and over all this book is worth the read so fun and a quick read.

The Texas Hero’s Homecoming Charlene Sands

Description:

His final mission may be the most dangerous of all…to her heart.

Autumn Messina has finally put herself first and achieved her dream of becoming a teacher. She’s only sorry it’s come at the expense of having to sell the once thriving Messina Farm. Autumn loves her father and the farm, but she can’t do it all, and her brother has no plans to move back home. And then her brother’s best friend saunters back into her life even more handsome than she remembers and arrogantly full of plans and answers to questions she no longer wants to ask.

After exiting his special forces unit to return home to Last Stand, Sam Russell feels duty bound to help his best friend’s struggling family farm. He’s not expecting such fierce resistance in the form of a still-angry Autumn, who’s become even more beautiful and tempting in his years away.

Autumn doesn’t want his help, but Sam has never given up so easily. And what starts off as just doing his duty quickly becomes something much more personal.

My Review:

Yall I did not read the first 2 books in this series but I can say I want to now. In this book the author has a way of making you feel like you are right there watching the whole thing play out. Defiantly a coming home story and finding yourself. Autumn has a feisty spirit, but an ol’ soul who love, cares and feels deeply. You could feel her emotions through the pages in some parts of the book. Sam was a giver, yet he also felt he “owed” people and no one was exempt from that, he just wanted to make sure he showed the same honor he learned in the military. This book is a clean read and over all I really loved it, this book was a quick read and I think the only thing I left wanting more of is I hope that  Joe gets his story told next. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The Cowboy’s Return Jamie Dallas

Description:

Once a cowboy, always a cowboy.

Colton Hartman hung up his spurs at eighteen vowing never to return home. Years later, he comes back for his father’s funeral determined to sell his one-third share of the family ranch. Except his irritable, unappeasable father threw one last curveball—to inherit, he and his brothers have to live together on the ranch for a year. The ranch needs massive repairs on a tight budget and even tighter timeline, and the best contractor in Garnet Valley is unfortunately the one woman who never wants to see him again.

August “Gus” Jones is determined to prove she’s ready to take over her father’s struggling construction firm. Which means she can’t turn down the lucrative Hartman Ranch job, even though the man hiring her is Colton Hartman, the man who disappeared after she declared her love and broke her heart.

As Colton once again works the ranch, the attraction between him and Gus quickly flames. Can she convince this stubborn cowboy that this time love is worth sticking around for?

My Review:

I found this book kind of cute, two old friends find each other again and wonder if they can make love work. You know something is always bound to go wrong. With August I found she beat to her own drum she tried her hardest to show up anywhere on time but she always was helping those in need or those she loved. She truly had a heart of gold in my opinion. I Liked Colton but at first I felt like he was just looking for a hook up someone to kill time with and came off a bit of a jerk. I feel like he needed to learn what was important in life and make things work. There is adult content in this book and may not be suitable for all. Over all this book was predictable but cute and if you are looking for a quick read this book is it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. With someone else. The minute they break up. So she’s decided to be done with love.

Each book in the Blue Moon Bay series is STANDALONE:
* A Lot Like Love
* A Lot Like Christmas

My Review:

I liked Jessica she was such a good friend and had such an amazing heart to be there for her friends and family. She just wanted love, at first I thought she had ridiculous exceptions but as the story played out you knew her heart was in the right place. I was not really a fan of Mitch I found hims selfish and self-centered through out the whole book and felt like Jessica deserved better. I fell like like there is some much more to the story for Trent and Whitney and I can’t wait to see what they face if they get there story. I did not read book one In this series but you do get to catch up with Sarah and Wes. This book does have adult language and content and may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Getting under her skin has been deliciously satisfying for his red-hot desire, but when Lily lands in the hands of the very man he’s been investigating, Levi will have to fight with every ounce of his heart and soul to save her—and to heal the heart he broke.

“Leigh’s books can scorch the ink off the page.”—RT Book Reviews

My Review:

I was not a huge fan of this book when the story first started out. It seemed like it was going to be an on the edge of your seat kind of book which I was excited about I mean who doesn’t love a good mystery book with love story mixed in. However that changes once you find out who Levi really is then the book becomes predictable and all about sex and how Levi seems to want to use it to distract Lily from who he truly is. It just seems like so many other books out there that I have read recently. I will say that I did like Lily she was a fighter and she was going to not hide and let someone else fight for her. She was going to be right there and fight for herself. There is adult situations and content throughout this book so may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The Sheriff and the Cowgirl Debra Holt

 Description:

What happens when a tenacious sheriff takes on a determined cowgirl and her champion bull?

It’s never easy to make it in a man’s world, and cowgirl Tori Tremayne has chased the same dream most of her life—producing a champion bucking bull on the pro rodeo circuit. With her prize bull Maximus, she’s so close to winning top prize in the finals this year she can taste it. She can’t afford any distractions, especially not the tall, dark and swoony sheriff she’s admired all her life.

Sheriff Gray Dalton has been in love with Tori since they were kids. He doesn’t want to change Tori or derail her goals, but he does want to combine their dreams—build a life and family with her while she continues to pursue her career and passion. Gray knows he has to shake Tori up so that he can step out of the friend zone she’s so determined to keep him in.

Can Gray prove to Tori that with him she can have it all—career, love and a family?

My Review:

I was so excited that Tori finally got her story told. I really loved Tori and Gray in the other books and I so wanted their story. I still loved Gray he knew what he wanted and was willing to do anything for Tori. I liked how he not just cared about Tori but her family as if it was his as well. As I said I really liked Tori in the other books however in this story she came off very conceded, self centered, and too caught up into her goals to care about anyone else, I was a little disappointed. I loved that no matter what Tori’s family surrounded her and loved her through her dreams. There was some mild adult situations in the book, Overall I did like how the book ended and I did enjoy the story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

 Description:

Charming, hilarious, and emotional…When Sparks Fly is Helena Hunting at her very best!

Avery Spark is living her best life. Between her friends, her sisters, and Spark House, the event hotel her family owns, she doesn’t have much time for anything else, especially relationships. She’d rather hang out with her best friend and roommate, Declan McCormick, than deal with the dating scene. But everything changes when she is in a car accident and needs someone to care for her as she heals.

Declan avoids relationships, giving him a playboy reputation that he lives up to when he puts a one-night stand ahead of a promise he made to Avery. While he may not have been the one driving the car, he feels responsible for Avery’s injuries and is determined to make it up to her by stepping into the role of caretaker.

Little did they know that the more time they spend in compromising positions, the attraction they’ve been refusing to acknowledge becomes impossible to ignore. When they finally give in to the spark between them, neither is prepared for the consequences. Their love is fragile and all it will take is a blow from the past to shatter it all.

My Review:

When this book first started I kind of liked it even though it is told in a first person style, I did like how the author switched because both Declan and Avery. I did like the relationship between the sisters, I did feel like the author made London this very meek character but also tired to make her a strong boss women. I feel like this book was completely predictable and I just quickly loss interest when it just seemed like the characters were more forced together due to the circumstances verse what seemed like would be organic being that they were best friends. There is a lot of adult language, situations throughout this book which may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Matched and Married Kathleen Fuller

Description:

Like Margaret, Owen Bontrager isn’t looking for a spouse, something that’s hard to avoid in Birch Creek, where an ad for brides in the local paper has brought a swarm of single women to the thriving town. When he meets Margaret in an unexpected way, they discover they have more in common than they ever expected. In some ways, they are a perfect match.

Margaret struggles to keep her goal of avoiding romance in order to focus on being a faithful member of the Amish church, and it doesn’t help that she finds Owen intriguing. Knowing they don’t have a future together; she returns home and gives in to her mother’s insistence that she get married.

Can Margaret betray her feelings for Owen and become a dutiful daughter and wife to the man of her mother’s choosing? Or will Owen find a way to free Margaret of her past by giving her the future they both are surprised to find they desire?

My Review:

At first I had a hard time getting into this book however that didn’t last long. I feel like this books is for  all the ages it teaches some much of what matters in life, forgiveness and finding healing even when Life just doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense. I liked Owen while he was a workaholic and is learning to take life at a slower pace he still seems to be wise beyond his years and yet still torn between young adult and being grown up. I feel like Margaret had a lot of growing up to do from beginning to the end of the book but I feel that the way the author told the story and allowed Margaret’s life choices to play just made sense overall. This book is a good clean read and can be enjoyed by all. I am not sure if there is more to come but it would be interesting to see what does happen next based on the end of the book.
