Description:

Their mother needs a fresh start…Could he be what they’ve been waiting for?

Back in her hometown with her twin daughters, widow Marilyn Sofitel is set on never falling in love again. She’s sure her heart is safe spending time with Wyatt Walker as he works to fix the carousel her girls love. Everyone knows he’s handsome, charming…and trouble. But as they grow closer, might their unlikely friendship to develop into something deeper?

My thoughts on the book:

What a fun read I love when a story involves kids I feel like they always add a huge element to a story. I think the one thing I felt was left hanging was something that played out through the story with out giving anything away it felt like you were left with some questions in the end. I am not sure if this is going to be a series and eventually it will all play out or if you are just left to figure it out on our own. I did like Mari and Wyatt, they both had troubles and struggle they need to face but it wasn’t something they need others to face it with but they needed to conquer on their own. I was not a fan of Marilyn’s mom, I hope there is more to come I would love to find out what happens next. Over all this book was a good clean read and suitable for all ages.

Cowboy Courage Carolyn Brown – Longhorn Canyon #6

Description:

Love gets a second chance in this charming cowboy romance from the New York Timesbestselling author of The Family Journal
After spending years traveling the world with the military, Rose O’Malley is ready for a change. Heading back to Texas to hold down the fort at her aunt’s bed-and-breakfast will give Rose just the break she needs. But while she may speak seven languages, she can’t repair a leaky sink to save her life. When Hudson Baker strides in like a hero and effortlessly figures out the fix, Rose can’t help wondering if the boy she once crushed on as a kid could now be her saving grace.
Hud has always been rock-solid and dependable-a quintessential cowboy to his core. But the moment Rose steps back into his life, his world is turned upside down by meddling family, a rescued baby, and one highly mischievous cat. Now he’ll have to decide if it’s time to throw caution to the wind and do whatever it takes to convince Rose that by her side is exactly where he wants to stay.
Includes the bonus novella Wildflower Ranch, a continuation of Daisies in the Canyon.

My thoughts on the book:

I have to say that this book was ok. I felt like the book kind of dragged a lot more then I expected, However I loved Luna she was a freaking hoot. I felt like between her and Molly they really made the story and made you want to love all the characters and find out what was going to happen next with those two. I liked Rose and Hud but sometimes it just felt very awkward and the relationship almost seemed forced not natural. there is some adult situations and languages but over all the book was a ok read. Luna will defiantly keep you laughing for sure. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

The Melody in my Head Nikki Lynn Barrett

Description:

This is Book 2 in the Love and Music in Texas series. Baby Stetson kicks off the series.

Welcome back to Harmony’s Echo, Texas…..

Melody Roland is on the run from the one person she trusted completely. One who hid a dark past she could never have imagined. When a pregnant woman on the bus she’s fleeing on goes into labor, Melody rushes to her aide. Now she finds herself stranded in a tiny remote town just off the highway, with no way to her original destination.

She’s alone, on edge, and unsure who to trust. Her instincts scream to get far away and fast. But how and where?

Jameson Grant struggles through the roughest year of his life. Suffering from the loss of his father, one grief stricken night, he made a mistake. One which cost him the only woman he’s ever loved. Each lonely day he’s faced with the constant reminders of how quick things can change. Throwing himself into the one thing he has left, his music, helps dull the pain he fights to keep hidden. His last salvation begins to crumble as things spiral out of control and he has no choice but to face the ‘music’ of his past.

The last thing he needs or wants in his life is a woman with more trouble on her heels than the best of country music lyrics. But Melody sings a sirens call within him that can’t be ignored.

Jameson and Melody bond in ways stronger than either could have imagined, but one dangerous person from her past may threaten it all…

If she doesn’t flee before he can convince her to stay, and that some love songs last an eternity.

My thoughts on the book:

What a fun story as a follow up to book one. I loved that you get to catch up with Avery and Lucas and what they have been up too. I like Melody she was a fighter and super independent but the relationship she has with her dad and brother speaks volume, I love how the author makes her feel come off as a “queen” but not someone who is stuck up. I liked Jameson he had a lot of demons he needed to fight in order to face his life and one of those was figuring out how to help his mom. The emotions in tis story just seem to jump off the page and I truly felt like I was catching up with friends and not reading a book. There is cursing and adult situations in this book. The book was so fun and hard to put down you can’t go wrong with it.

Finally convinced that he needs help, Asher makes an appointment with a counselor, and Brooke is pressed by her boss to take him on. When he arrives at her office she isn’t there–but a dead body is. When it becomes clear that Brooke was the real target of the attack–and that her secrets go even deeper than his own–Asher vows to protect her no matter what.

Bestselling author Lynette Eason is back with a new series that spans the globe and will have your heart working overtime.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was amazing I really had a hard time putting it down. The author deals with some tragic situations. I honestly feel like the situations in this book could be totally be pulled from the headlines. I loved Brooke and her friends they all seemed to have a heart for others no matter what they are facing. I loved how Brooke was able to face some of her fears and keep fighting for what was right. I liked Asher, while sometimes it seemed more that Brooke was saving him, he always seemed to have everyones best interest at heart. Now can we please talk about Lyric she was my favorite her and Sarah need to be friends and have there stories told, they both this take no prisoner attitude in them and will stop at nothing. I liked that this book was a good clean read and that even thought there were tough subjects the author kept you going from beginning to end.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Leap into action with this high-octane, breakneck new series from bestselling author Susan May Warren.

My thoughts on the book:

Where to begin with this book. So you know when you get on a rollercoaster and it starts off slow then starts to pick up and slows down a little then some twist and turns and then slows for a sec before the last climb and the biggest drop and the whole time you are holding on for dear life because you don’t know what’s coming, yeah well that is this book. If had be guessing what was going to happen next and who was going to live, die and who was going to make the next biggest jump. So so good. I will say this while there was a small part in the book I really wish the author would have followed up it did not break the whole book for me, I just wanted to know what happened lol. I loved that the author held nothing back, the author does take you all over with your emotions and yet kept the book a clean read and suitable for all. I would say give yourself some time because once you start you will not want to stop reading. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Lassoed by the Would-Be Rancher Melinda Curtis

Description:

USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR

If there’s a way to her heart…

…he’ll jump at the chance!

CEO Shane Monroe sticks out like a sore thumb in Second Chance, Idaho, where he’s investigating his grandfather’s connection to the town’s folklore of stolen treasure. Feisty local Franny Clark ridicules his city-slicker ways but allows Shane to hunt for gold on her land…if he can help save her rodeo ranch. Shane is captivated by Franny’s go-getting attitude, but what will it take for him to win her over?

My thoughts on the book:

I really have enjoyed reading about the Monroe Family they are a fun bunch learning to live and grow with the new circumstances they have been handed. I have to say I was not much a fan of this couple. I loved the Clark children and Gertie they were so fun to read about. I loved Davey and how not matter what he “took the bull by the horns” and ran with it, he was a fighter and it was hard not to love him and his independent spirit. If you have been following the Monroe Family this book will catch you up on the comings and goings and is well worth the read. I also have to say I really liked reading about Bo and Jonah I can’t wait to read more of their stories and see what kind of trouble those to cause. This book is a clean read and so good. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

With the stakes getting higher by the moment in a twisted conspiracy, there’s a rush against the clock to determine whom they can really trust. As allies turn to enemies, the biggest secret yet to be uncovered could be the end of all of them.

My thoughts on the book:

“I think they might be keeping dead bodies in their condo”. Any book that starts off with that sentence you know you are in for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I could not put this book down I really wanted to know what was going to happen next. The author truly keeps you guessing from beginning to end. At one point I thought I had it all figured out and then the author would throw in a twist and keep you winding what was going to happen next. I really can’t say I had a favorite character in this book I have to say I really enjoyed everyone on the team for all different reasons and I really want to know what happens with them. I like Izzy and how she held back but when things needed done she got them done. This book is a good clean read and you will not regret reading this book.

Love you, Truly Susan Tuttle

Description:

But when his mother’s popularity declines and she falls into a depression, he offers himself up as the next bachelor on a reality show, hoping to reignite interest in her career while creating a way for them to finally connect.

After her fiancé dumps her for her best friend, aspiring photographer Harlow Tucker is done with romance—until her beloved, disabled sister requests her aid to start a nonprofit. Harlow agrees to do whatever is needed to raise funds, even reluctantly costarring on a dating show with a notorious womanizer who distrusts anyone behind a lens.

As Blake and Harlow navigate the superficiality of a reality show, their preconceived notions of love are challenged. Deciding to trust each other feels like the ultimate risk, but taking that chance could lead to a love truly picture-perfect, worth both of their hearts.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was so cute I am not a huge fan of a certain tv show that this may be based off and so some  of this I was I was thinking this my come off as corny or cheesy and that never happened. The author draws you in and literally keeps you sucked in till the end. I really really loved Charlie and Darcy they were like what friends are made of. I really like Harlow and Mae as well both very stubborn and independent women who shine with God’s love for their life. I love how the author kept the relationship with God the first and foremost in this story because no matter what that’s what important. This book is a good clean read. There are some tough topics discussed but well worth the read.

Description:

But after spending time together, Grace confesses that she might not want to marry her fiancé after all. Can Zeke convince her that her true love is standing right in front of her? And can she find the courage to follow her heart?

My thoughts on the book:

I like this story it was cute and down to earth. I did however feel like parts of the story did drag on. Without giving much away I wish the main subject or at least it felt like the main subject would have been handled a lot sooner in the book and the secondary situation would have played out sooner so there could be more of that story and less of the other. I loved Zach he felt like wasn’t good enough but he always seemed to keep his head up and keep fighting for what was right. I was not a huge fan of Vernon and I wish we found out more about Jon. I liked Grace a lot to she was reckless, fun, independent and reliable and you could totally feel like you could be friends with her. This book was a good clean read and fun to boot. You can’t go wrong.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
