“A brilliant writer you’ll love creates a world you’ll never want to leave.”—Susan Mallery, New York Times bestselling author

My thoughts on the book:

I like this author she has a way of sucking you into a story and always has fun a quirky characters. I am so glad the Blessing cousins are back in this story you never know what will come out of their mouths and what they are going to be up to next. I really liked Tucker he was a Cowboy through and through, He was a perfect hero for this story nothing anyone could say or do could change who he is as a person. Gillian was a broken soul who needed the perfect person to come and help her heal but her family and friends always had her back. I loved the friendship between the girls they always have each others backs. This book does discuss sex and has some language so may not be suitable for all readers. Overall I really enjoyed this book it was a super fun read.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

The Key to My Heart Nikki Lynn Barrett

Description:The Key To My Heart is a series standalone. It can be read by itself, but it is part of the Love and Music in Texas series.

One dream fails, a passion burnt out…

With no set plan and a desire to find a passion, Blaine Grant hightailed it out of Harmony’s Echo a year out of high school to find herself. Finding a passion didn’t come as easily to her as it did for others she knew. Now, Blaine has come home for good with mistakes she’d like to forget, but the past doesn’t want to forget her. Everyone thought she’d been selfish to not come back when she was needed the most, but Blaine never let anyone know the emotional hell she went through.

Another dream is just beginning to see the light…

Randy Hughes has always been the shy guy until he discovered his love of music. It wasn’t until joining the band that he grew out of his shyness. The oldest sibling and the only boy, he’s pressured by family expectations to set a good example. He’s the one who takes everyone in when they need it, and he’s the one whose own dreams are ignored. Now that big things are happening for the Baby Stetson band, Randy has to decide how to handle his family when his dreams are on the line…

A friendship is changing.

One spur of the moment, impulsive move leads Randy and Blaine into a dire situation that may bring them together, or pull them apart, just when he’s finally able to gather the courage to tell Blaine how he’s felt about her all these years…

Revisit the characters you’ve come to know in small town Harmony’s Echo, as more changes settle upon them.

My thoughts on the book:

What I like about this author is that she never sugar coat’s anything, no topic or subject are ever off limits. In this story that was very much the case she has away of always getting to the heart of the matter as well. I really enjoyed this story of Randy and Blaine, I felt like after reading The Melody in my Head I could not wait to find out what happened with them. Blaine and what she faced broke my heart but dang this girl came out swinging and you never knew what she was going to do next. I loved her take no prisoner attitude. Randy is loyal to a fault and at first I thought he had no back bone but at the end of the day that changed and it was hard not to really really like him and root for him. I don’t know what character the author has next for us but I can say if its this same group of friends than I can’t wait for more. This book does have sex and adult language so it may not be suitable for all.

My thoughts on the book:

Guess who is back, Grandma Dotty and her Granddaughters. As I said in book one I loved Grandma Dotty you never know what its going to come out of her mouth or what craziness she is going to think of next. Aubrey is in Ecuador for a wedding and to seek out her arch nemesis and of course there is talk of lots of chocolate. I swear I walked away feeling like I needed some chocolate. I loved Aubrey and Nino they had a way of not over shining there personalities but they both were easy to relate with. I love when that happens because then they feel like your catching up with friends. I really enjoy these sisters and the closeness they share, I can’t wait to see what Grandma Dotty is up to next and the trouble she drags her next granddaughter into. Y’all this series is a clean read and you really can’t go wrong with these fun books. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

True Blue Cowboy Debra Holt

Description:

Will his proposal eventually win her heart?

For rancher Chance Braxton, Josie Monroe was the classic girl next door. He’d fallen early and hard, but because her heart had belonged to his careless and indifferent brother, Chance had been permanently friend-zoned since Josie was a teen. Now Josie’s running her failing ranch all alone, and it’s time for Chance to step up and keep a promise he made to her dying mother –  marry Josie and combine their ranches.

Josie Monroe doesn’t want help or need to be saved by anyone – especially her wealthy ranching neighbor and forever thorn in her paw, Chance Braxton. The serious, way-too-handsome cowboy has starred in too many of her fantasies, but he still sees her as a heart-broken girl. She’s a woman now, and she’s determined to prove everyone wrong: She can save her ranch and rebuild her father’s legacy…alone.

When Chance proposes, Josie’s problems are just beginning. So why does her pulse kick up every time he rides by and tips his Stetson?

My thoughts on the book:

First and foremost this was a cute story. However I did find the story completely predictable and because of that sometimes I felt like the story did drag. The story is a marriage of convince story and sometime I felt like I was reading about kids just out of high school not adults. I always like small town romances the town characters will always add a fun element to any story and I felt like that was the same with this story so many fun characters. This story does have some sex scenes and adult situations in it so may not be suitable for all. Over all a fun story just be patient. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.”

An Everyday Hero Laura Trentham

Description:

From award-winning author Laura Trentham comes An Everyday Hero, an emotionally layered novel about redemption, second chances and discovering that life is worth fighting for.

At thirty, Greer Hadley never expected to be forced home to Madison, Tennessee with her life and dreams of being a songwriter up in flames. To make matters worse, a series of bad decisions and even crappier luck lands her community service hours at a nonprofit organization that aids veterans and their families. Greer cannot fathom how she’s supposed to use music to help anyone deal with their trauma and loss when the one thing that brought her joy has failed her.

When Greer meets fifteen-year-old Ally Martinez, her plans to stay detached and do as little as possible get thrown away. New to town and dealing with the death of her father in action, she hides her emotions behind a mask of bitterness and sarcasm, but Greer is able to see past it and recognizes pieces of who she once was in Ally. The raw and obvious talent she possesses could take her to the top and Greer vows to make sure life’s negativities don’t derail Ally’s potential.

After Greer is assigned a veteran to help, she’s not surprised Emmett Lawson, the town’s golden boy, followed his family’s legacy. What leaves her shocked is the shell of a man who believes he doesn’t deserve anyone’s help. A breakthrough with Ally reminds Greer that no one is worth giving up on. So she shows up one day with his old guitar, and meets Emmett’s rage head on with her stubbornness. When a situation with Ally becomes dire, the two of them must become a team to save her—and along the way they might just save themselves too.

My thoughts on the book:

This book is very different then any book I have read in a while. That’s a good thing the whole story just grabs your attention and sucks you in and before you know it the books almost over. The subject matter is tough with a young girl dealing with the loss of a parent and a guy coming home from war and learning to cope. There’s also so much more to it. I really loved Ally it was simply hard not too. The author will have you laughing and crying through out sometimes on the same page. I felt I was connecting with friends not a bunch of fictional characters. I really enjoyed all the character in the book but the cop I wish in the end Greer would have kicked him where it counts and he would have lost his job. lol!!! There is some adult language and situations through out some may not be suitable for all readers. Overall an amazing read and well worth it, in the end I wanted so much more I just was not read to be doneI received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Have you ever read a book and you know your coming to the end but you also don’t want it to end because its just that good? That book was this to me. I really could not put this book down. the author  will keep you on the edge of your seat for sure. I liked how the author kept the book clean. I loved Ivy she is your typical teenager attitude but also the most respectful caring girl with the biggest heart. Hunter faced a lot but still tried to follow Gods will. Seriously grab this book its a quick read and you can’t go wrong.

The Last Real Cowboy Caitlin Crews

Description:

USA Today bestselling author Caitlin Crews returns to the Cold River Ranch series with The Last Real Cowboy!

In Cold River, sometimes forbidden love is the sweetest of them all…

Perennial good girl Amanda Kittredge knows that her longtime crush on Brady Everett was never really supposed to go anywhere. But when Brady comes home during Amanda’s first attempt at independence, well, who better to teach her about rebellion than her older brother’s bad-boy best friend?

Brady’s plans did not include being forced to work the family homestead for a year—and yet, here he is. And, to make matters worse, his best friend’s innocent little sister is making a menace of herself in the most grown-up, tempting ways. When Amanda begs Brady to teach her about men, he knows he should refuse. But could Brady’s greatest temptation be his salvation?

“Loaded with charming characters [and] wit….will win the heart of any romance fan.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review) on A True Cowboy Christmas

My thoughts on the book:

I liked the story over all it was cute but I felt like both Amanda and Brady whined a lot yet both wanted to be seen as adults. Eventually Amanda grew some balls and was a total spit fire no one wanted to mess with. Brady’s family could describe every dysfunctional family out there perfectly. They all are healing and looking to find where they fit after their dad died and there was no love loss there. I think both Amanda and Brady’s brothers could be one in the same all protective and a pain in the read end. The sexual tension though out was not lacking at all, there is sex in this book so may not be suitable for all readers. Cute story over all but does also seem to drag here and there. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

End Game Giveaway

Welcome Y’all I am so excited to have a chance to Interview Rachel Dylan and talk about her newest book and also get a chance to talk to get to know more about her. At the end of the interview I will be giving a copy of Rachel Dylan’s newest book so stick around read the interview and find out how to enter. In no way is this giveaway sponsored.

Really quick before we jump in I wanted to explain that I have been reading Rachel for a few years now and I love her books. If you have never read anything by her I would say I can compare her stories to the others like Dee Henderson, Dani Pettrey, Susan Sleeman and Terri Blackstock. Y’all her book are worth the read grab one you won’t be disappointed. Now on to the interview

Ok, I know you are a big pet person so my first question is:

If you could ask your pet 3 questions, what would they be?

  1. What do you really think about me?
  2. What’s your favorite food?
  3. Do you miss me while I’m at work? ☺

DO you think your cat or any cat for that purpose has any regrets?

LOL, no I don’t. Cat’s don’t roll like that.

I know some authors like to have certain snacks or drinks why they write, Do you have a favorite snack food or drink around why you write?

I usually always have water and sometimes coffee. I love cheez-its but they are super unhealthy so I’ve tried to cut back.

I know you are a Lawyer have you always wanted to be both a Lawyer and a writer or did one come because of the other?

I’ve always loved to write, but I didn’t realize I was going to be a novelist until I was in my 30s. I didn’t always want to be a lawyer, but it seemed like a good fit and a very practical decision.

Do you or did you have a person that inspired you to write?

I think it was a combination of people. I was fortunate enough to have a very supportive family and teachers that encouraged my love for reading and writing.

Do you have a Favorite place to write?

I usually write at my kitchen table. I have an office but I usually end up in the kitchen surrounded by my furry friends.

Do you have a favorite author?

It’s hard to pick one favorite, but I really love Joel Rosenberg’s novels.

I have always loved every one of your books that I read I am never able to put them down. I felt that same way with END GAME , Tell us a little about how this story first came to be. Did it start with an image, a voice, a concept, a dilemma or something else?

I think it started with a general concept about three women who went to law school together but ended up going into different career paths that weren’t all lawyers. Then it expanded from there.

Who are your main characters? Tell as a little about what makes them tick?

END GAME focuses on Bailey Ryan and Marco Agostini. Bailey and Marco are very different. Bailey is a law and order type—largely driven by her legal experience. Marco, on the other hand, is more focused about getting the job done and cutting through the red tape. Their work styles end up complimenting each other but it also provides a good amount of conflict as well.

Do you have a favorite character in this book?

I do, but I can’t tell you that. LOL—actually I have a favorite character in the series. I think it will become apparent at some point☺

Which scene was most difficult to write?

There was no one specific scene that comes to mind. Writing in general is hard, but some stories flow more easily than others.

Were there scenes you ended up cutting you wish you could’ve kept?

I tend to write pretty lean so usually we’re adding elements as opposed to taking them away.

If you can, can you tell us what is next to expect with this series or any other books you have in the make?

Yes! The next book is Layla’s story and I’ll be releasing the title soon. It will come out in October, and I’m super excited about it.

Now to the Giveaway follow the link below and the steps to enter to win a copy of End Game. Thank you Rachel so much for taking the time to do this interview I had a blast reading all your answers and I can’t wait for more from these friends.
