Book 2: Winning Back Her Heart
Book 3: His Christmas Wish
Book 4: A Mother’s Strength
Book 5: Secrets of their Past

My Review:

This is one of those books that will hit I think most readers a little different. I really liked this book I felt like it go to the heart but also left you laughing in parts as well. I loved Tessa she was a forced to be reckoned with. She was a single mom to one and a mom to all. She had a big heart and set out on a mission to tell her towns story. Neal on the other hand keeps his cards close to his chest and finds it hard to let people in. I found the journey he took to find out who he was, was not easy but for many who read this story will find it relatable. I like that the author kept this book a clean read so that it will be suitable for all. Overall this is a fun read and takes you on a journey for sure.

Book 1: Texas Cold Case Threat

My Review:

This is one of those books you really can’t put down or you might miss something or so it seems. The author keeps you guessing for sure. So when reading this book I did it late one night when I couldn’t sleep right as the boom was coming to an intense part my dog jumped on me I about screamed, so read beware of your surroundings for sure. There was a big part in the book where I was so mad at Tack and wanted to jump into the pages and talk some sense into him oh my. I really liked Chelsey, she’s a fighter and while she made some not so great choices she knew what needed to be done. Overall I just really enjoyed this quick read and I’m the end I wanted so much more from these friends.  Grab this one and you won’t be disappointed!!

The Sugarcreek Surprise Wanda E. Brunstetter

Description:

Welcome to Sugarcreek, Ohio, where the Amish schoolteacher has a determined admirer. Tragically losing her parents as a child, Lisa Miller has grown up being afraid of loving and losing. She dedicates herself to teaching at an Amish schoolhouse and helping the grandparents who raised her, all the while avoiding the advances of newcomer Paul Herchberger. Paul enjoys antiques and meets Orley Troyer while looking for unique old milk bottles at yard sales. Orley and his wife offer prayers and advice as Paul tries to reach Lisa’s closed heart. But when secrets are revealed, will Lisa use them as an excuse to close herself off again?

My Review:I really liked this book a lot. I feel like when people think Amish they think they have a simple life and they don’t necessarily face the same things as the rest of us. In this book thats far from the truth. I really Liked Lisa and even though her faith was strong she struggled with fear of loosing those close to her she was strong and kept fighting. Paul he was a good guy with a big heart that needed healing, he too had a few things he needed to work out but with his faith in God and his willingness to ask for help he was willing to face things head on which is not always easy. I feel like my emotions were all over the place with this book you would be laughing in on page and then tears in another. I Liked that I was able to catch up with the Towers again in the book they are the sweetest couple and I was so glad to read more about them. Overall this is a clean read and I would recommend it to anyone.

Accidentally Perfect by Marissa Clarke

Description:

Workaholic Lillian Mahoney has given everything to her job. The hugely popular lifestyle show she helped create monopolizes her time, energy, creativity, and anything remotely resembling a life. But all it takes is the show’s womanizing, egomaniac star throwing a massive hissy on live TV to utterly implode Lillian’s career in a New York minute.

Now Lillian’s hiding out in the gorgeous and completely unknown seaside village of Blink, Maine. Out of gas. A stolen wallet. A broken heel. And worse, she’s somehow managed to completely piss off the town’s resident hunk, Caleb Wright. She’ll show that hot, grumpy single father exactly what she’s made of.

But Blink isn’t quite what Lillian expects—and neither is Caleb…or his feisty teen daughter she can’t help but love. And while her entire life and career are in shreds, Lillian might just discover what happens when she gives her bad first impression a second chance…

My Review:

So this is a new to me author and I have to say I really enjoyed this book. In the very beginning I will say I kind of rolled my eyes (I don’t read the descriptions). and thought oh great another rich girl story who’s untouched with reality. I was so far off base and I am glad I gave it a chance. Lillian puts her best foot forward in everything she does and was a totally hard head and would not let the words, no or can’t stop her. I liked how she seemed like she would take the world on and leave it in a better place. I liked Caleb even though in the beginning I would have liked to ask if his mama taught him any manners oh boy. The are quite a few sub characters that personalities just jumped off the pages and you really wanted to know more about them. Overall I really like this book and I don’t know if this is a series but I want to much for from the small town of Blink. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:

I will start off by saying I am not ready for this series to come to an end. I feel like in every book you find something to love about a main character or dislike about a sub-character in the book. In this book is was very much the same. Can we just smack some sense into Holden, Shane and Kendall, lol. I really liked Rhett he was this down to earth feel to him who wants better and is willing to do just about anything to make it happen. Olivia is hands down my favorite Monroe so far, she did not put up with a whole lot and was full of sassiness. I also found my self laughing a lot in this book between Sonny and Rhett’s grandpa you just never know what was going to come out of their mouth next. I really don’t have anything negative to say this book was a fun read and well worth it. Its also a quick read, this author did not disappoint one bit. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The Sweetheart Deal Miranda Liasson

Description:

From the bestselling author of the Angel Falls series, two enemies say “I do” in the first irresistible book about Blossom Glen.

Pastry chef Tessa Montgomery knows what everyone in the teeny town of Blossom Glen says about her. Spinster. Ice Queen. Such a shame. It’s enough to make a woman bake her troubles away, dreaming of Parisian delicacies while she makes bread at her mother’s struggling boulangerie. That is until Tessa’s mortal enemy—deliciously handsome (if arrogant) chef Leo Castorini, who owns the restaurant next door—proposes a business plan…to get married.

Leo knows that the Castorinis and the Montgomerys hate each other, but a marriage might just force these stubborn families to work together and blend their businesses for success. The deal is simple: Tessa and Leo marry, live together for six months, and then go their separate ways. Easy peasy.

It’s a sweetheart deal where everyone gets what they want—until feelings between the faux newlyweds start seriously complicating the mix. Have they discovered the perfect recipe for success…or is disaster on the way?

My Review:

I thought this book was super cute. I liked Tessa she was super independent and knew what she wanted but struggled to know how to get there but still be there for her family. Early on in the book I so wanted to slap her sisters but the more I read I was so glad that they were more active in Tessa’s life. Leo on the other hand had to grow on me, I felt like early on he was stuck up and a punk but like the sisters the more I read the author has away of making you see the best in all the characters. I liked how nothing was going to stop these two from doing what was right for their families. Overall I would totally recommend this book, it just was a fun read and was hard to put down.

Choosing a path will take courage as well as faith—in God’s plan, and in this steadfast, tender love . . .

My Review:

I was not a fan of this book, at first I liked it. However I felt like after something happens in Toby’s life I found Magdelena become whinny and so selfish and self centered. I liked Toby overall he had a big heart and the relationship between him and Rachel was so sweet. I loved Charity and Peter as well they really did keep me reading till the end. Overall this is a clean read but this book was not for me. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

“This is a novel you’ll want to read over and over again.” – USA Today

My Review:

I really really wanted to like this book over all but was not a huge fan. I liked Morty, Tilly, and John I mean who doesn’t enjoy some old folks who love to meddle. I Liked Grace while she seemed like a fighter in a sense she seem to come off as a push over more then not when it came to certain people. Noah was just a jerk I really wanted to like him but. his brother and best friend were a lot nicer to me. I liked some of the story line but I also felt like it dragged some as well. Overall it was cute but just not the book for me.

Breaking the Cowboy’s Rules Sinclair Jayne

Description:

It’s time to take advantage of his player reputation…

Pro rodeo bronc and bull rider Bodhi Ballantyne is always upping the stakes. This year he’s been hiding a secret, and when he and his cousins come home to Marietta, Montana, for the Copper Mountain Rodeo and learn their granddad is contemplating selling his legacy ranch, Bodhi challenges his cousins to a game to save their futures. To stay in the game, they’ll each need a bride by the end of the rodeo.

Nico Steel is on the run from her family, her fortune, and her unwitting role in the corporate scandal of a generation. After cooperating with the FBI and the New York state attorney’s office to right the wrongs, she drives across the country, desperate for peace and reinvention. One impulsive stop at a saloon along with a dance with a sexier-than-sin cowboy and suddenly Nico’s learning to shoot whiskey and agreeing to be a stranger’s fake fiancée for the week.

They’re both players, so it’s a win-win—unless one of them loses their heart.

My Review:

I liked this book the characters where fun. However I did feel like about half way through the book dragged a little bit. I liked how both Nico and Bodhi each were facing something yet didn’t feel enough to share with others and continued to fight for what they felt was right. I liked Nico at the beginning she seemed like this sweet soul and she felt like she was had to hide who she really was. I felt Bodhi was fighting himself for most of the book and I wish he would have been more open sooner with Nico. This book does have adult language and situations and may not be suitable for all readers.

My Review:
I feel like reading is an escape and adventure you go on between the pages and new places to travel. That was the case in the book the author had a way of making you feel like you were right there in the midst of it all with the characters watching it play out. I like Fraceen she had a huge heart to help women and babies but always try to find healing from something in her past. Scott seemed to be struggling on the journey of life and where it was taking him and what was next. However the relationship he had with his sister Sindy had me laughing. This book does contain adult situations and language so my not be suitable for all. Overall a fun read! I received a complimentary copy of this book.
