Thankfully in Love Anna J. Stewart, Kayla Perrin, Melinda Curtis, Cari Lynn Webb

 Description:

USA Today bestselling romance authors come together for Thanksgiving to tell the stories of four women who have not had the best experiences with the men they have dated in their pasts. With the help of family and loved ones this holiday season, can they learn to open their hearts one more time? If they can dare to make the leap, they could find themselves finally, thankfully in love…

There’s no place like home, especially during Thanksgiving. After spending ten years as an officer and analyst with a special division in a federal cyber-investigation, Tripp Atsila is on the brink of burnout. He returns home and meets Parker Rutledge, who changed her name and moved to a small town hoping to leave the damage her ex-husband caused behind. Now someone’s found her; someone who wants to make her pay for her ex-husband’s crimes. Can she trust Tripp? Can she trust anyone?

Miranda Cox isn’t looking forward to heading home for Thanksgiving. She’d raved to everyone that Matthew was the one; now she has yet another failed relationship under her belt. Despite working as a translator in Ottawa, and loving traveling abroad, she’s thirty-four and still single. Little does she know that a chance encounter at Union Station in Toronto with her childhood friend, Taz Morrison, will lead to a very special holiday. Is it finally their time?

Chef Drew Barnett has been hired to create the perfect Thanksgiving for a potential restaurant investor and is forced to work in the client’s guesthouse kitchen due to a power outage in the main house. Jilted bride and food critic Claire Rothchild is pet-sitting a friend’s St. Bernard in the same guesthouse. Drew doesn’t know what to make of a food critic in his kitchen, just as Claire doesn’t know how to stop interfering with his dishes and passing tidbits to a mooching pooch. Is this a recipe for a Dog-Gone Holiday? Or for love?

Born with a degenerative eye disease, photographer Kelsey Thomas knows two things: she will be blind within five years and her family wants to see her married and settled first. Then Kelsey’s boyfriend breaks up with her one week before she planned to introduce him to her family at her grandmother’s island commitment ceremony. At the resort bar, she meets Dr. Noah Lawson. He spends his life inside his lab developing cutting-edge techniques to slow the progression of vision loss. He’s been offered funding with strings—save the eyesight of a relative of a wealthy investor—but he’s reluctant to agree. Noah is smitten by Kelsey—so much so that he agrees to be her fake wedding date for the Thanksgiving holidays. Too late, he realizes her connection to his potential investor. Is this a set-up? Or fate?

My thoughts on the book:

No Place Like Home- Anna J Stewart: Sometimes coming home is all you need and I think Tripp found that out in this story. He was hard headed and burnt out but also ready to take on what was given. Parker is a fighter and also ready to take on what is handed to her. Over al this story was super cute a no a quick read

Second Chances- Kayla Perrin: This story why it’s totally predictable it’s so cute. Remembering your first love and wondering what could have been. I liked Melanie she was your typical nosy sister but also wanted what was best for Miranda. Taz came off a bit intense but he seem to have a huge heart. Cute story over all!

Dog-Gone Holiday- Melinda Curtis: I mean dogs can talk and we can hear right?!! I loved Olly he was so cut and so full of personality for sure. I liked Drew he kept sticking his foot in his mouth but he was always fun to laugh with. Claire just wanted what was busy for Olly and you could tell her love for him throughout the story. This story was a clean read and fun!
Love Guides the Way- Cari Lynn Webb:Nothing good comes from keeping secrets and Kelsey’s family seems to have a big one in this story. I liked Kelsey she faced life without her vision and she took the time she had left to enjoy life through the rest of her vision. I liked Noah he had a big heart and wanted to help everyone he could not matter what. I loved Gam she got her way not matter what a was a pistol if we all could be like her when we get older.

Over all this story was super cute and a fun read.I think the only thing I didn’t like about all these stories where they were too short and I was left wanting so much more. Over all this was a fun story and I could not put it down so worth the read and will put you in the thankful spirit.

Spredemann, Rachel J. Good, Serena B. Miller, Mary Alford, Loree Lough, Dana R. Lynn, Susan Simpson, Tracy Fredrychowski, and Ashley Emma.

May you be richly blessed this holiday season!

*So, I have three of your books on my TBR pile when I started this one, do you find it hard writing back to back books like that? Keeping things separate?

It is hard at times, especially when you shift between genres such as suspense and Amish romance like in Amish Christmas Miracles. Which is why I make lots of notes for each book I’m writing. That includes character bios, setting information, and a detailed story outline. If I’m working on a series, such as my Courage Under Fire series, the story information can become quite long.

*I know this Story is in a book with 13 other stories and then you have another mystery book with 9 other authors. Do you enjoy collaborating with others?

I do enjoy working with other authors. I have had the privilege of collaborating with some incredibly talented authors and I have learned something from each of them. When you put together so many different voices into one collection, you have something for every reader no matter the genre.

*This story is centered around Christmas which hands down for me is one of my favorites, what is your favorite holiday? What do you enjoy most about that holiday?

Oh, I agree with you, Sarah. Christmas is my favorite holiday, too. I love it when the holiday decorations start showing up at the stores because making the house feel special for Christmas is so much fun. It is a holiday filled with a hope that came with the birth of our Savior. His birth, death, and resurrection changed everything for our world.

*So, I love when authors write children into books and make them shine and I feel like you did that with Lyddie! Do you have a favorite character in this book or any of your upcoming books? And do you find it hard to write about kids and their personalities?

Lyddie was so much fun to write. I love her excitement at moving to a new location. She and I have one thing in common, she loves the snow about as much as I do.

Kids are interesting to write about in that they are just honest and straightforward. I love their enthusiasm for life and the simple trust they have. It makes me wish we could all be like that. It’s a shame life has a way of taking away that curious wonder we have as children.

I also enjoyed writing Abigail and Simon’s story. Their romance touched my heart. Two former sweethearts reunited. The mistakes that drove them apart in the past are worked out and they find the happily-ever-after they so deserve.

Thank you so much for always being willing to work with me and for all the amazing books. I cannot wait for all these books you have coming out!!!

Thank you, Sarah. I so appreciate your support. For authors, it means the world to have readers spread the news about our books.

From Harlequin Love Inspired: Uplifting stories of faith, forgiveness and hope.

Wander Canyon

Book 1: Their Wander Canyon Wish

Book 2: Winning Back Her Heart

Book 3: His Christmas Wish

My thoughts on the book:

I will be honest I am not sure how authors write gut wrenching stories with out tears. This to me was on of those stories. Cole was young but some of the stuff he dealt with were way beyond his years but he also had such a sweet personality he was easy to fall in love with. With Jake and Emma each having their own secrets but both tryin to find their way through trials. Emma and her story just broke my heart. There is a twist I can honestly say at first I did not see coming and it definitely throws you for a loop. Over all this book is a good clean read, tough topics but over all is so worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Amish Christmas Gift Laura V. Hilton

 Description:

Past relationships and close quarters stir up old emotions, making Christmas the perfect time for a magical connection in this heartwarming second chance Amish romance.
Elsie Miller has witnessed — and experienced — Levi Wyse’s forgetfulness too many times to count. But even after they broke things off, Elsie never forgot the handsome Amish toymaker or her love for him. So when Levi’s sister asks her to help keep him organized for the busy Christmas season, Elsie agrees. But she didn’t expect working alongside Levi to reignite those old feelings.

Secretly, Levi’s heart will always belong to Elsie. But she deserves a better man, one who isn’t so absentminded . . . or responsible for a terrible tragedy. Now, she’s at his workshop every day and as Christmas draws near, his reasons for staying away become harder and harder to remember. Will the spirit of Christmas heal past hurts and give Elsie and Levi the greatest gift of all: a future together?

My thoughts on the book:

Oh my goodness I just can not stop laughing at some of these characters and their antics. George was hands down my favorite character he was a pistol and I can totally picture him and could not help but laugh at everything he was doing. Elsie was a hot mess just trying to keep it together and I so can relate to her in so many ways. Levi he has secrets that could make or break someone and sometimes I just wanted to shake him but he too was just a broken soul looking to find his place in this world. I will say I hope that Abigail and Noah’s story is next because I so want to know what happens with those two it was easy to fall in love with them and this journey as you read Elsie and Levi’s story. If you find kissing or even passionate kissing bothersome in Christian books then this is not the book for you, other than that I would say this book is a good clean read and totally worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Montana Christmas Magic Kaylie Newell

 Description:

Can a rescue dog help two lost souls find love at Christmas?

All accountant Griffin Cole wants for Christmas is stability. After spending his childhood traveling the world with his one-hit wonder rocker dad, he loves his quiet and unremarkable life in Marietta. Then the beautiful Raelyssa Woods knocks on his door. Her bold spirit immediately turns his predictable life upside down, and suddenly Griffin wants to ask Santa for so much more.

Rae Woods loves running her café in the small Montana town she calls home. She specializes in comfort food because she loves spreading joy to everyone she meets—two-footed or four. But after she impulsively takes in a homeless dog she names Noel, her big heart lands her in bigger trouble when her landlord threatens to toss her out. Grasping at holiday straws, she remembers a cute accountant who owes her a favor—and she happens to know he’s got a fenced yard and hidden soft spot.

When Griffin reluctantly agrees to foster Noel, he inadvertently sets in motion several Christmas miracles that neither he nor Rae could have ever seen coming.

My thoughts on the book:

I loved Noel the author did a great job at her personality just jumping off the pages. I really liked Rae she just had such a big heart and she just seems like someone you would love to know. Griffin has his problems but in this story he felt just as equal as a hero in this story. I really liked the small town story of this book it makes you picture yourself there. I liked the relationship with the brothers even though they didn’t appear a whole lot they seemed like no matter what they were always there for each other. Over all this was a fun and quick read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My thoughts on the book:

The match makers/ Cookie makers are back and still up to no good!!! If you have been following this series or not the friends are back and some are set in there ways and others are ready to make some matches among there children. I love amish books and how simple of a life the authors portray and in this book it was very much the same it was a breath of fresh air with all the craziness going on in our world. I really enjoyed the sisters and how even though they are separate people how it was easy to lump them together into one for so many. I liked how the heart of the story was never judge a book by its cover because you will never get to know there person if you do. I also liked how the author kept this story a good clean read and making it suitable for all readers. Overall this is a fun read and well worth it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. “Filled with passion, suspense, and strong characters.”—Rendezvous with Romance on My Favorite Cowboy (5 stars)

My thoughts on the book:

This book was very my original its not a topic I have ever read that I can think of. This series has been so good and you never know what’s going to happen next and that was very much the case with this book as well. It was very intense and yet disturbing at the same time. I liked this group of characters and the relationship they have, if you don’t have that kind of friendship it make you want one for sure. There was one thing in the end I wish would have happened but, I am sure that this is not the end for this group of characters. There is sexual content and strong language in this book so it may not be suitable for all. This book really did not disappoint it was hard to put down for sure. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

‘Thoroughly enjoyable book, the characters were strong and lovable and the HEA was very welcome’ Peta
‘Holds your attention…the author’s words brings the book to life’ Ann
‘A beautiful love story… It captured my attention’ Zoe

My thoughts on the book:

WARNING this book is not a Christian book. This book does talk about God and yes has amish but would definitely not fall under a clean read. There is sexual content in this book. The story was ok, not for me. The story is a strong read it deals with death, affairs, drugs and mental health, for some people everyday life, so I will so that it was very life like. I did like Rowan he had such a big heart and he wanted what was best for those he loved. He also wanted to do what his heart wanted. I liked Katie but she was also a hot mess and in some moments she came off very mature then came off as a spoiled child. Over all the story was an ok read this book was a quick read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Save It for a Rainy Day Nikki Lynn Barrett

 Description:

Sam Bennedict has no memories of his life prior to a capture in a war plagued zone. Once a journalist covering the front lines, now he’s tormented with nightmares, headaches, and wounds that may never heal. He’d gone MIA and presumed dead, all the while, his family’s life went to hell back home.

Now he’s returned, trying to acclimate to his new surroundings. Old journals lead him to the niece he left behind, and the woman who adopted her while he was away.

Stacey McGinnis became her brother’s guardian at nineteen after a murder/suicide left them alone in the world. She still had plans and dreams, but put them aside not only once, but twice. When a neglected young girl ended up being the one person to save her brother from a painful decision, Stacey knew what she had to do.

When her officially adopted daughter’s uncle returns, broken and alone, she will stop at nothing to help him any way she can.

He worries about his quality of life from the after effects of all he went through, and she’s struggling with her daughter’s changes in wants and needs.

Somehow, the two come together in ways they never imagined, but is love in the cards for these damaged souls?

My thoughts on the book:

Well she freaking did it again, I swear this author’s books need to come with some sort of warning, aka this book will need at least two boxes of tissues and maybe one stiff drink, now that I have given you are warning let me tell you my thoughts. This book was SO good but also so emotional and gut wrenching Sam is really going through hell to get back to those he loves but also trying to find who he is. I loved Stacy she always wanted to help those she loves and forgets about herself. I feel like she is so relatable and so someone I feel like I could be friends with. Lily and her story in this just broke my heart I won’t give anything away but WOW OH WOW!!! Over all this book was so powerful and so good I really could not put this down and I was glad to read more about Winnie, Parker, Tucker, and Quinn. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next with this group but I am sure we all won’t be disappointed. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes and descriptions of physical and sexual content. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Autumn Skies Denise Hunter

Description:

From the bestselling author of The Convenient Groom and A December Bride (now beloved Hallmark Original movies) comes the third and final novel in the Bluebell Inn series!

When a mysterious man turns up at Grace’s family-run inn, it’s instant attraction. But she’s already got a lot on her plate: running the Bluebell Inn, getting Blue Ridge Outfitters off the ground, and coping with a childhood event she’d thought was long past.

A gunshot wound has resurrected the past for secret service agent Wyatt Jennings, and a mandatory leave of absence lands him in Bluebell, North Carolina. There he must try and come to grips with the crisis that altered his life forever.

Grace needs experience for her new outfitters business, so when Wyatt needs a mountain guide, she’s more than happy to step up to the plate. As their journey progresses, Grace soon has an elusive Wyatt opening up, and Wyatt is unwittingly drawn to Grace’s fresh outlook and sense of humor.

There’s no doubt the two have formed a special bond, but will Wyatt’s secrets bring Grace’s world crashing down? Or will those secrets end up healing them both?

My thoughts on the book:

Somethings are beyond our own understanding and I felt like that was very present in this story. It was a very powerful read and I found it hard to put this book down. Grace and Wyatt both are faced with something in there past that leaves them with more questions than answers and because of that the author keeps you guessing and leaves you wondering what is going to happen next. I love the relationship between Levi, Molly and Grace its such a typical sibling relationship but at the end of the day when they need each other they are there for each other. I liked how the author didn’t make either of the main characters victims but both fighters. Over all this book is a good clean read and was so worth the read. If you are following this series this book will allow you to catch up with others in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
