Join bestselling and award-winning author Elizabeth Goddard as she plunges you into a web of deceit made of hidden crimes, open threats, and long-buried family secrets in this gripping first book of an explosive new series.

My thoughts on the book:

This author did not disappoint. I mean this book keeps you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end. In books like this I like to guess right off the bat who did it, but in book the author keeps you guessing, just when you think you have it all figured out she throws a curveball. I really liked Terra. She was a fighter and she dealt with loss, but seemed like she was willing to keep fighting for what was right. Jack was a bit of a mystery for me at first but I liked him to he just had some healing he need to find in the middle of a murder investigation. I could not put this book down, have me up late and I don’t regret it one bit. This book is a clean read and well worth every bit. I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next in this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

5 out 5 stars

Description:

He’s barely given her a passing glance…

But when her house goes up in flames, so do her entrepreneurial dreams. The only good thing to come of it? Being rescued by the hottest cowboy around, Jace Paxton.

Jace has his hands full finding a way to grow his family’s vacation resort and tracking down the rustlers who stole his new herd of calves. At least being able to save Shandi, the town’s favorite sweetheart, goes right. She needs a place to stay, and there’s plenty of room on the Blackstone Ranch.

But he needs the bar and grill as much as she does. And while he’s a formidable competitor…she’s not. How can he take away her dream and future? How could she love him if he did?

My thoughts on the book:

I love me a good quick read and this book was totally that. I have really enjoyed this series of books and this one really didn’t disappoint either. I really liked Shandi the girl was stubborn as they come but fiercely independent and willing to help anyone. Jace was a good ol’ cowboy raise right but would stop at nothing to take care of his ranch and his family. These two together just know they are a fun read. I really hope that this is not the end of these characters and there is more to come. In conclusion I would totally recommend this book its fun, clean read with some adventure thrown in. I received a complimentary copy of this book. With the week drawing to a close, can Wes convince her to give love a chance before she leaves Silverado Lake—and him—behind for good?

Includes the bonus novella It’s All About that Cowboy by Carly Bloom!

My thoughts on the book:

When I first started this book it felt like I had read it before, which yes I know its new so that’s impossible. However after a few pages in, that change and the author did a really great job of taking you on an emotional journey through Thea and Wes’ life. I really like both characters equally. I feel like when an author makes the characters relatable and feel like friends you know you are in for a book that will keep your attention. I think one of my favorite lines in the book is “He Lived to spend time with his family.” I feel this sums up the book and it shows how powerful a choice can be when you make it. This is some sexual content in this book, Over all I would read this one again it was emotional, but also found myself laughing too. Friendship is the key in the book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

WISHING FOR A COWBOY Victoria James

4 out of 5 stars

Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Victoria James comes a heartwarming love story about family, forgiveness, and the true meaning of “home.”

Janie Adams has been a single parent to her nephew since he was a baby. Fifteen years later, she’s finally found out who his father might be, so the two of them travel across the country to find him. She’d do anything for this kid. But when they arrive in the small town of Wishing River, Montana, and Janie finally meets the ruggedly handsome cowboy she’d been told had abandoned his son, his shocked response changes everything.

Aiden Rivers can’t dispute this is his kid when he sees his own features staring back at him, but he had no idea Janie’s sister was pregnant when she left him. He didn’t even know she had a sister—clearly they’d all been lied to. Now he has fifteen years of fatherhood to make up for and no idea how to be a dad. This was never in his plans.

Janie sticks around to help him ease into parenting, everything from showing him how to lure a sulky kid out of his bedroom to keeping up with the latest teen-speak. Together, they surprisingly make a good team, this city girl and country boy. But when the past catches up with them, Aiden and Janie must decide what’s best for the boy who’s connecting them, not only for each other…which could mean splitting them apart.

Each book in the Wishing River series is STANDALONE:
* The Trouble with Cowboys
* Cowboy for Hire
* Wishing For A Cowboy

My thoughts on the book:

This author never seems to disappoint and gets right to the heart of the matter. I feel like with this book and this series the characters feel completely relatable. I really like Janie she was a fighter and would stop at nothing to do what was right for her “son”. Will he has such a big heart and you can tell he was raise right by Janie and my heart kind of broke for him in the beginning of this book. Aiden man he was a hard shell to crack. I really like the other characters in the book as well, except for Maxi. Maxi I just want to hunt her down and smacker her myself. Overall this book was a fun read and I hope this is not the last we hear from these characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Sandcastle Beach Jenny Holiday

4 out of 5

Description:

From the USA Today bestselling “master of witty banter” (Entertainment Weekly) comes a hilarious and heartwarming romance about two enemies whose feud turns red-hot.Maya Mehta will do anything to save her tiny, beloved community theater. Put on musicals she hates? Check. Hire an arrogant former-pop-star-turned-actor? Done. But what Maya really needs to save her theater is Matchmaker Bay’s new business grant. She’s got some serious competition, though: Benjamin “Law” Lawson, local bar owner, Jerk Extraordinaire, and Maya’s annoyingly hot arch nemesis. Let the games begin.
Law loves nothing more than getting under Maya’s skin, and making those gorgeous eyes dance with irritation. But when he discovers the ex-pop star has a thing for Maya, too, Law decides he’s done waiting in the wings-starting with a scorching-hot kiss. Turns out there’s a thin line between hate and irresistible desire, and Maya and Law are really good at crossing it. But when things heat up, will they allow their long-standing feud to get in the way of their growing feelings?

My thoughts on the book:

I will start off saying I did not read book one of this series but I did two and three now and I still fill like I love the matchmakers they are hilarious. In this book they are back to there “manipulation” . I really liked the banter between Law and Maya they have a love hate relationship and you can’t help but to get invested into it and laugh. I was not a fan at all of Holden, he just rubbed me the wrong way and I was so over him with in a few minutes into his story. There is sexual content and adult language through out this book so may not be suitable for all. I would say I thought this was a fun book I hope this is not it for this series and we get to find out what happens with more of the fun characters we have meet through out this story and the other books. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Strong, Silent Cowboy Lora Leigh; Veronica Chadwick

 Description:

From #1 New York Times bestseller Lora Leigh and Veronica Chadwick comes a second chance at love and bodyguard romance Strong, Silent Cowboy, a Moving Violations novel.

“Leigh’s books can scorch the ink off the page.”—RT Book Review

He Will Do Anything…

Sallie Hamblen had three incredibly hot, sexy nights with Jacob Donovan, an undercover CIA agent, before he disappeared, leaving her broken hearted and forever yearning for the man she lost. Years later, Jacob doesn’t know that the beauty he’s about to seduce in a small town bar is the woman he held in his arms all those years ago… and that she’s on the run from her past.

To Keep Her Safe…

Former CIA agent turned cowboy, Jacob Donovan wants nothing more than a simple life. Just the ranch and occasionally someone warm and sweet in his bed. Until Sallie comes back into his life and all of a sudden he wants to be in her bed every night…all night. When he discovers that her life is in danger, he swears he’ll protect her. Even when secrets are revealed that threaten everything between them, he will lay everything on the line to keep her in his arms.

My thoughts on the book:

I will say after reading book one and really liking Jacob, I was excited to read his story. However  I was not a fan of him in this book he was annoying to me and everything about him and this book was sex driven. Just like in the first book I had a hard time getting in this book there was not much of a storyline unless the authors were going for a book about sex then they hit it out of the park with this book for sure. I will say I liked Sally, Lily and Tara they are super stubborn and strong headed women. I really loved Gram she was a pistol I think was hands down my favorite and I wish there was more of her in the book. I did feel in the end I did have some questions but I am guessing the authors left it up to you. Overall this was not for me. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Cold Case Investigators

Book 1: Cold Case Takedown
My thoughts on the book:

OMG I could not put this book down, I had it with me, I swear everywhere I went. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns to keep you guessing what is going to happen next. I could never relate more with Georgia, she is a fighter and way stronger then she realizes, but she heads into life with God at her side knowing that’s what’s keeping her going. Cole wow what he faced at such a young age broke my heart but he too was a fighter and was not going to give up on love. Susan was the best kind of friend anyone could ask for she spoke truth in love and said the hard things as well. All in all this book was an amazing read and was a clean read. 4 out of 5 stars

Chantel would love to be a mom, but she needs to be loved for herself first. Gabe says he’s all in, but how can she trust again when she’s been let down so many times?

My thoughts on the book:

I really liked these characters they were just super passionate about everything they did including their own lives. I will say this book has a lot of passion and will have your emotions all over the place. I liked Chantel, but I also felt she held her self in to protect herself she was a tough shell to crack. Gabe good ole cowboy feel to him that kept things real and what you see is what you get. I was not a fan of Marla I just felt like she was never a good person. There is a good amount of sexual content and adult language so may not be suitable for all. Over all this was a fun book and so well worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Darcy may not believe that he really intends to quit the bull riding circuit and stick around this time but Jason vows—with the help of the matchmaking Widows Club—to pull out all the stops to convince her that they both deserve a second chance.
My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book, honestly I have really enjoyed this series its been so fun. I really hope this is not the end of the Matchmakers they always seem to be up to no good which will guarantee you laughing alone the way. I feel like this was such a romantic comedy and I wasn’t sure if I was laughing or crying. I loved Darcy even though she faced so much she was a true fighter and ready to be this strong independent women with out her families past hanging over her head. Jason was an outsider looking in but was not willing to stand on the sidelines no matter what. I finished this book in one setting and it was so worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

In order to risk their hearts and find the love they’ve been missing, David and Miriam will have to open them to each other.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was not for me. I felt for a good portion of the book the story dragged and I found it hard to get into the story over all. I will say just over half way through the author did throw a twist into the story but as quickly as is was there it was over with. I did not read any of the first story but I loved Julie and her brother oh my what sweet souls. I really also like Miriam what she faced in the story could have knocked any one to their knees but she just seemed so strong and stubborn nothing was going to knock her over. The story was a clean read and suitable for most. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
