Angel Kisses and Riversong Lynnette Bonner

Description:
He’s a former NFL quarterback from Florida with an injury that has put an end to his career.

She’s a penny pinching innkeeper from Washington, just trying to make enough money to care for her grandmother.

Needing to escape the media and the constant pressure to make a decision about his future, Jett Hudson escapes to a B&B in the small town of Riversong, Washington. A month of R&R in the middle of nowhere ought to do him some good. But when he arrives and has to wake the owner, who is sound asleep at her desk, he starts having second thoughts about his choice of lodging—even if her messy bun reminds him of a halo, and her soft gaze has a way of making him forget to breathe.

After a long night, and even longer day, of taking care of her grandmother, Salem Finn jolts awake to find her new guest—and financial hope—eyeing the door like he wants to make a run for it. All her exhaustion comes to the fore. How is she supposed to be a twenty-four seven caretaker and still run a prosperous business?

Sometimes the river of life takes unexpected turns. And sometimes those turns lead to angel kisses…and Riversong.

This contemporary, sweet, clean romance will take you to small-town America, where the neighbors all know each other’s business, and the police chief’s biggest worry is where to find his next fishing hole.

My thoughts on the book:
He’s a football player who’s been injured and looking to get away from it all, the media the disappointment of not knowing what to do next and just finding himself. He ends up in Riversong Wa, with a prayer in his heart and relaxing on his brain. Salem just needs to hold it all together taking care of her grandmother and finding a way to provide for them both and starting a B & B. When her first client shows up it seems everything is going wrong and she starts to question if she is making the right choices for herself and her grandmother. If she can just survive this she know she can take whatever is thrown at her.
I really loved this book. I haven’t read many with the main character being a football player. I was telling my husband about the book only to have to let him down that it was fiction and he wouldn’t recognize the player :-). I totally got sucked in to the story and it was really just the sweetest love story. I was glad that the book wasn’t to deep it was light hearted and with just enough drama it keeps your attention and keeps you turning the pages to see whats going on next. I am super excited to read more of Zai story. I love her and Salem’s friendship it truly is the definition of what a true friend is all about. This book is a good clean fun read you really cant go wrong.

Cowboy Ever After Jennie Marts

Description:

She’s writing a romance novel…
and he’s just like the hero in her story!
Enjoy the delightful cowboy romance from Hallmark
and USA Today bestselling author Jennie Marts.

Kaylee Collins, a shy city-dweller, is writing a Western romance—and getting the details wrong. Her editor insists that Kaylee learn more about country life by spending a week at a working ranch. Kaylee reluctantly agrees as long as she can bring Gladys, her slightly overweight Corgi.

To rustle up her courage, Kaylee channels the spirit of the fearless heroine of her story. But she’s shocked when she meets Luke Montgomery—the spitting image of her handsome cowboy hero!

As far as Luke’s concerned, Kaylee’s books are pure fantasy. Love hurts, and he should know: he lost his wife a few years back. But he finds himself amused, and then enchanted, by this woman who bravely tries new things and whose heart seems to be as big as the Montana sky. Can they both dare to start a new chapter together?

This clean romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Extra Delicious Carrot Cake.

My Review:

I loved this book, it was such a fun read. I loved how it feel like the author took you behind the scenes of what its like to be a writer and throws a twist in it. I loved Kaylee she was so vulnerable but she also had such a huge heart and could see only the best in those she met. It felt like she only wanted to leave those she met better than she found them. Luke had his guard up almost the whole book but it did not take from the story or him showing who he was as a person. He never really came off like a jerk which I expected he came off more caring and reserved. I liked the friendship between Luke and Dean and I loved Emma she came off like an old soul with a lot of sweet soul and honesty coming out. Overall this was a fun read and I could not put it down. I really can’t say much negative about this book other than I was left wanting more. 🙂

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The View from Coral Cove Amy Clipston

Description:

When a jilted romance novelist escapes to a small beach town, the last thing she expected to find was the start of an even better love story.

In the wake of a broken engagement and the death of her last surviving family member, sweet romance novelist Maya Reynolds moves to the haven of Coral Cove, North Carolina, to take over her great-aunt’s toy store. Some of her grief is immediately eased by imaginative eight-year-old Ashlyn Tanner, who talks her into adopting a kitten and inspires Maya to create a princess tea-party room in the store.

Ashlyn’s dad, local veterinarian Brody Tanner, is quickly smitten by the newest resident of his hometown. As a single parent, he sacrifices a lot in order to give Ashlyn the world, so a romantic entanglement with Maya is not a distraction he is looking for.

As the three develop a deepening bond in the seaside town where Maya experienced some of her happiest childhood memories, clouds cast a shadow over Maya’s hope for the future: an impossible deadline looms over her next novel, a long-held secret by her late mother about Maya’s absent father comes to light, and Brody’s resolve to avoid romance seems unbreakable.

But together, they just might discover that sometimes happy endings happen outside the pages of Maya’s novels too.

Advance praise for The View from Coral Cove:

“Grieving and brokenhearted, novelist Maya Reynolds moves to Coral Cove, the place where she felt happiest as a child. An old family secret upends Maya’s plan for a fresh start, as does her longing to love and be loved. The View from Coral Cove is Amy Clipston at her best—a tender story of hope, healing, and a love that’s meant to be.” —Suzanne Woods Fisher, bestselling author of On a Summer Tide

My Review:I could not put this book down anytime I had to I tried to hurry back to it, it was so good. The author has a way of making you feel like you are catching up with friends with this book. I loved Ashlyn she was so fun to read about she was a pistol and I feel totally helped make the story what it was. I really liked Maya and Brody each had baggage they had to deal with but each was after two things healing and love. I loved how each page the author draws you in and throws in a twist that while you know something is up you are happy with the way things turn. I loved that this book was a good clean read and that it would be suitable for all ages. I could not recommend this book more!!!
